I want to cut and paste an image with rounded edges.If i cut an image using rounded rectangle or rectangle marquee tool(with feathers 5px),the image blurs in the edges.How can i have a clear rounded edge image?

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday one of my friend asked me how to create star with round edge as opposed to pointed edge. Quite fascinated by his challenge I started my beloved CorelDraw and drew a star with 40 spikes at a depth of 10. Since the stars have pointed edge, I used the Filler tool to round-off the sharp edges, I was successful, but the fillet tool also rounded off the lower (inside) node. hence I failed, to create what my friend had challenged.
One option is to create a star, then painfully select only the outer nodes and use the fillet tool to round off the edges. Is there any other easy method of doing the same in CorelDraw.
( My friend apparently uses the rival program Adobe Illustrator and mocks me using CDR )
I am working on a project for an autocad class and have run into a snag. I have to fillet a box but the rounded edge is on the inside instead of being on the outside. I'm attaching a screen shot of a 2-d version and the 3-d I have so far.

Since I am using slanted walls I need to work with a Mass but I can't get the mass look like my idea. The picture I attached is a simple screen capture of Rhino with the outline of the building.

I am building a Crankshaft. How to build the connecting weights that attach the main journals to the connecting rod journals. I can post a screenshot of the design. I have a extruded face that is a half circle on the top.so I am trying to fillet or cut a section off of the rounded edge. I used the rectangel tool and it always makes the photo inside out. I need it to round the edges not hide the photo. Is there a way to show the middle of the photo and then make a frame like they did on the website?

I've recently been doing a lot of terrain texturing work in Photoshop7 for aerial sim modding, producing tessellated 512 x 768 bitmaps from 512 x 512 psd files. I have noticed that most of the down-sized (128 x 128, 64 x 64 and 32 x 32 pixel) bitmap sections appear with a light-colored strip (one or two pixels wide) along one or more edges.
I've tried everything I know to eliminate this problem without success. The images can be retouched manually, but with a grid of 58 x 37 terrain tiles to process, this isn't a practical solution.....!

The guy seems to be painting over some layer or something with a black or white brush and it brings it back in correctly, but I cant replicate this.
I created an oval logo from scratch. Its a gif. I saved it using the "save for web" option under the File menu. I use this logo for our website. As long as the logo is placed on a page with a light background it looks ok. But when I put it on a page with a darker background, the image is outlined in white. Its getting very frustrating. This is happening with any image that i give an transparent background.

Its very common to try many images in this sort of composition and the auto renamimg protocol makes it virtually impossible to weed out unused images at publish time.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI created an animation which was working just fine within animate and which I was also able to successfully export as an oam file to then be used on Wordpress.However when I reloaded the animation within edge the next day to make some adjustments, the majority of svg images I used are not showing on the canvas. Theyre present on the stage, elements and assets but when I select, only the box is visible and not the image. Theyre set to be visible (the little eye thingy) but aside from that, theyre a no-show.

Having some trouble with the oppacity on my projects. As you can see from the screenshot, I've clearly clicked something because any text or images that I try to add to my project and set the oppacity at 0% - to then build over a few seconds to 100%, will not do this.Yet previous elements that I've added will.
Is there something I need to click to stop the new text and images from changing oppacity immediately. I want them to build over time - I can see that the added keyframe looks different also.
I'm having trouble getting the edges of my eyes to look like they are part of the chair, which got me wondering. Is there a way to feather my edges with increased intensity closer to the edge? To be specific, I'd like to start the feather 100px inside the border with 60% opacity, all the way to the edge (border) with 0% opacity. I tried doing this manually a couple of ways and it just didn't look uniform.
I have also tried with the eyes seperated (without the middle area), but I still have the same issues.
