View 4 RepliesI am using XP Pro (SP3). I deactivated PSCS4 then went to the add remove app from Windows. I see PSCS3 which is still installed, but no PSCS4. What now?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason PSCS4 has lost the connection to my Epson V100 scanner. I have reinstalled the scanner twice. All other applications can find it, but not PS.
View 7 Replies View Relatedwhen I have a file opened in PSCS4, I do not see the option to close only the file, not PS. I do not see the window for the file.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just installed PSCS4. The first time or two it launched without a hitch.
Now when I launch it I get two messages before it is apparently stable. The first message is: "Owl Orphanage: Photoshop.exe unable to locate command. This application failed to start because CoreFoundation.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." Click OK to acknowledge this message three times and the following message appears. "Could not load MMX Core Routines module because it does not work with this version of Photoshop." Acknowledge this message once and Photoshop CS4 loads apparently OK.
I reran the installation and still get the same messages.
I am running WindowsXPSP3 on an Intel Core2Duo. Photoshop CS3 is also installed on this machine.
While working on a complex project with PSCS4 that involved copying and pasting from numerous open documents, I have been receiving an error message shown in the link. PS then shuts down with loss of my data.
I'm running Windows XP Pro with a dual Xeon processor workstation with 2GB of error correcting memory. PS3 and other applications have been working properly.
Any suggestions other than going back to PS3?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have a Lenovo X61T Tablet PC and I am testing out Photoshop CS4.When I try to set the brush to be pressure sensitive I get the little "!" icon displayed saying that I must have a tablet installed for this feature to work.I also have the FREE program of “Paint.net” installed on this tablet pc and that is able to detect the pressure sensitivity perfectly. So I would have thought this would rule out any driver issue as the functionality is working its just that Photoshop doesn’t seem to detect it and enable it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I use the image processor in PSCS4 to process a large number of raw files using ACR 5.1 (Nikon D3 NEFs), I consistently receive an error message after about 10-11 files have been processed that the instruction at 0x696336ab tried to read memory at 0x6C (or thereabouts) and the memory could not be read. I am saving as JPEGs with the color space set to sRGB.
I de-installed and reinstalled PSCS4, but the error persists. The image processor worked fine with PSCS3. A workaround that solves the problem is to process the files as a batch using a simple action to accomplish the task.
I am running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 with a dual Xeon processor and 2G of error correcting memory.
I am a Creative Cloud Member and I uninstalled Photoshop CS 6. how to reinstall Photoshop CS 6.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded Photoshop CC, but there is a fault with Generator that has persisted, so I have to reinstall the application.
First question: do I have to uninstall the application first?
Second question: do I just then redownload it?
Third question: or is there an option just to reinstall?
By the way, adobe - this is a bummer - it takes ages to download. I hope that this isn't a recurrent theme...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have run into a small problem. I had to re-image a portion of my laptop, due to some "illigal actions" that caused some of my windows files to become corrupt/lost/damaged/unable to work. In that, I lost the regestry key (or whatever it is) for Photoshop, that is installed on another drive.
Is there a way to "recover" the regestry files without reinstalling everything?? I have all the instalation stuff on hand (or i can find them with very little searching), so thats not the issue. I had some problems with my computer actually accepting the CD at times when i installed the first time, so im trying to avoid that a second time.
I recently had to carry out a system restore following which when I tried to use my PS3 suite a window came up saying I could not use it and I must uninstall and then reinstall PS3.I am not the best with computers but that seemed quite simple to do however, I did not realize that I should have de-activated my PS3 before uninstallation so I just did a straight uninstall through the control panel. Now, when I try to reinstall I just get the following messsage -Errors 3 componentsAdobe Creative Suite 3 Design standard - Component install failedAdobe Photoshop CS3 - Component install failedShared components - Component install failedI assume that there must be stuff left on the computer following the uninstall that is causing this problem but I just don't know where to start or what to do to remove it.Can anyone help me with this bearing in mind that I am not that good with computers?

So, after major, continuous crashing in Photoshop CS3, I decided to see if CS4 would work ok. It was nice, but I let the trial expire and decided to continue to see if 3 would get in gear.
I removed the trial software (i thought)
Today, I uninstalled CS3, so I could reinstall the whole thing rather than repairing it. It won't reinstall because the CS4 files have been moved.
is there some way to completely wipe out all reference to 4?
After rebuilding my XP system, I've NEVER been able to reinstall PS CS3. I will not rebuild the system again. Went through a dozen different tries suggested by support.
Will I have more luck installing CS4 or should I live with CS2 and some other brands tools?
I bought CS2 and registered it about 4 years ago. I've had it installed in the same computer ever since.
Just recently I had virus problems and Dell re-set my computer back to factory settings. The Geek Squad backed up all my photos and documents, but I have to re-install all the software.
I installed CS2 and the last step was to put in my serial number, which I did. I got a message insinuating that I didn't have a legit copy. I called Adobe, and they told me that it was the correct number. But, they flat out refused to give me any 'technical help' as to why I can't complete the installation.
I read some of the questions here and am now thinking I was supposed to have uninstalled the software. But I didn't. So, it must be looking like I'm someone else trying to get the program for free. I just don't know.
Was using CS3 but HDD started going bad. Had to use a new HDD and install OS, CS3, etc. I'd like to copy CS3 setup/customization files from the old HDD to the new HDD. Specifically, I'd like to copy my created metadata templates (where EXIF data was automatically added when uploading photos into Bridge), my created Keywords in Bridge Keywords tab, Bridge Workspace layout for Horizontal Layout #2, etc. Anyone know where these files are stored? I had defined a few simple custom Actions but didn't specifically save them so I read that these are probably lost. I mention this in case someone knows how to retrieve them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy computer crashed, had to purchase a new Windows 8 machine. I reinstalled Photoshop CS2 and then installed the upgrade to CS5. I noticed that both versions are on my computer. It seems that the upgrade didn't overwrite the CS2. Do they share files, or can I uninstall CS2?
