I created some gradients that I now want to delete. They show up at the very bottom of my photoshop gradients dropdown menu separated from the other presets by a line. I have tried to find those files to delete them and I cannot get to them from my Finder window. I can access the preset folder from Application--CS5.1--presets but the other folder where Photoshop saved these gradients is nowhere to be found.

I have installed an abundance of brushes usually by double clickling from the download folder, and now I want to back them up. I have ran .abr spotlight searches and found nothing; they are also not in the photoshop > presets > brushes folder. Only the stock brushes are in there. Where can they be? I'm using mac osx.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was trying to install some brushes into the Brushes Preset folder but the only folders in the "Adobe Photoshop CS6" folder in the tree below doesn't have it. It's only a couple of random looking folders. I'm running OS 10.7.5 and CS6.

I had a folder with a lot of presets in Lightroom 5. When I start the program I only see the Lightroom presets and a couple of presets I made earlier. I started all the backups I made since Lightroom 5 but none starts with the bundle of presets I want. Is there something I can do to start the program again with all my presets? By the way, I see all the presets-names I made in the Lightroom-presets map (in the folder Develop-presets more specified).

I no longer own a current license for PathFinder and want Lightroom to use the normal Finder application. I do not have Path Finder even installed any longer and so clicking the button does nothing at all.

Because I use the presets to re-size images for my 40 odd web sites, this is really inconvenient. Can this behaviour be changed so that the preset remembers the selected folder? By default the presets folder is located at C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingAdobe. I use Lightroom on both a desktop and laptop and ideally I'd like to sync the presets between them by moving the presets folder to my SkyDrive folder. This way if I create a new preset on one device, it will automatically sync to the other device via SkyDrive.
Yes I realize I can store presets within the catalog folder and I could move my catalog to a SkyDrive folder which would technically accomplish my goal. However that would require sync'ing my entire catalog which I do not want to do; that would generate a lot of syncing traffic back and forth all the time. So I want my catalog and my presets in seperate locations, and I want to define where my presets are stored, which I haven't seen an option for.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to print in Elements 11, after clicking "Print/Page Setup/Presets/Show Presets", the box freezes. Clicking Cancel or OK does not work. I then have to Force Quit Elements to clear it. Apple say that it is a problem with Elements. Using the same procedure in other applications, clicking Cancel or OK does work.

The Watch Folder service returned an error: Access is denied.

Installed Elements 12, converted catalog but now my sub folders are shown as main folders in Organizer folder view. How can I get back my original folder/sub folder system? When I look at Windows folders my system is as it was so the two don't match any more. On searching further came across more info on Community-powered support for Photoshop Family and it seems Adobe have removed the option of sub folders.

Not sure if it's a bug or not but when removing a whole project the "random" folder(s) are still in the Media Storage folder. Everything connected to the project(s) are gone but not the random folder smoke creates when creating project files. Any specific reason their still in the Media Storage folder?
Im a bit of a neat-freak... After removing a whole project, is it safe to remove all the empty folders? Or would that cause problems for other projects?
When importing something off of a DVD or CD how do I direct Lightroom to copy the imported images or folder to a specific folder on my hard drive? It seems to default to MyCatalog but leaves the location on the CD rather than copying it to the drive. If I remove the CD the images is reported as missing.

I was in the process of moving a folder inside or LR. I might have clicked and moved it twice since it was very slow. LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. I did a spotlight search on my mac, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere. Where has my folder/images gone? I tried to locate them without any success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got about 10,000 photos that I've moved in lightroom by creating a folder called 'pictures' on the external drive using the left folders panel. I then selected all the images in the root drive on my computer and dragged them onto the 'pictures' folder on the external drive, and I expected the folder structure to come with it. Only after I realised that they had all moved into one folder. Is there a way of moving the images back into a structure without manually doing it? Here's a screenshot.....

How can I get rid of this? I do not see any options in preferences to turn this off. I have also turned off preferences in Windows > Folder Options Control Panel "Display full Path in Title bar" option.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just copied around 30GB of photos from my Mac laptop to a secondary internal drive that I placed in my Mac desktop. I then copied the Catalog from my laptop and put it in my primary drive on my Mac desktop. I double-clicked on the Catalog and it seemed to open everything up. I clicked on some keywords and it is finding the images. I never used LR for anything other than adding multiple keywords to all of my images.
1. However, the folder section on the left has question marks next to each and every folder that displays in that section. Why does it have the question marks and what do I need to do to remove them?
2. Do I need to do anything else to ensure the transfer is complete?
