Photoshop :: Pmg? Pop Up Informed Me It Was Not The Right Kind Of Document
Aug 4, 2009
I used photomerge in CS2 put the image on desktop to work on it later When I came to try and import it back into photoshop a pop up informed me it was not the right kind of document. The pop up besides the image says its PMG does anyone know what that is and how can I change the format so I can import it into photoshop
I have been doing Photoshop work at uni, I'm not sure which version though. Before I went home I saved it on then opened the file on my pen drive to check it was saved right and it was all fin & opened perfectly. I need to finish it off at home so I've downloaded PS on trial on my laptop,
but when I go to open it says 'Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document'. How am I supposed to open this file, because this is really important work I need to do for University.
I have serious problems with calibration here. White turns to maroon while going gray. Something is going on very bad.
I have installed PS3. I´m told to remove any LUT loader or whatever photoshop installs on the system in order to leave my own profiles load. I don´t find any kind of loader, and i´m quite worried about what´s going on with the color here.
I use equipment for photographer: 10bit NEC screen (multisync LCD3080UX+) and Matrox Parhelia 128MB graphic card. The software is Monaco Optix with BasicColor together, using a MonacoOptix XR calibration hardware.
I do everything correctly, and this goes wrong. Can you please help me or redirect me somewhere better?.
I am having a little problem with creating any kind of window into AEC wall. I am using edge snap 2.5 ( have also tried 3D snap). The window just wont appear.
think it was after I put wireframe on and then went back to normal but all of the text and vector type stuff looks as if it's a bitmap. It lost its "smooth" look.
I'm using Inventor Professional 2012. I have what seems like a relatively simple part, but I cannot find any way to apply a face draft to the four quadrants between the upper outer and inner "'cylinders". I get the dreaded "did not produce a meaningful result. Try with different inputs." no matter which type of draft I try. I have created parting line drafts everywhere else. how I can get these faces to draft?
If I see a drawing and I like the looks of things. how can I tell what type font is being used in Autocad? I'm having a beast of a time matching the type and size of fonts being used. A lot of the fonts I recognize, but these hand fonts in autocad are giving me fits but I really like these things. Ain't that a kick, we get computers so we can read the text on the drawings and then we go back to by hand fonts.
I have two layers , select them in the morph layers selection panel, and establish the selected points working the morph radius. But somehow the in between layers come out with some kind of transparency tween(fading away), and very little morphing is actually observable.

I set the two v blocks were fixed and bonded contact type among three of them. The program said it was divided to three separated parts but i wouldn't expected that.
The sheet set manager is an awesome tool (i just started using it a week ago). The problem is, whenever I place a view on my sheet, (by right clicking>place on sheet) and it says "Scale: 1:1 Right-click to change scale", i right click and all i get is:
"Invalid point. Specify insertion point:"
But here's the twist: Sometimes it does work (like 10% of the time) but most of the time it annoyingly doesn't. here are some photos:
*i'm using Autocad 2014 32bit
*using Autocad 2011 32bit in our office but still experience the very same case.
as you can see i have already attaced the "site development plan" view here (after a few tries) cadtutor 1.jpg
this is how i place views on my sheets. i can also drag and drop, but i prefer right clicking it. (are there other ways? share them too!) cadtutor 2.jpg
here, i've already clicked place on sheet and it's asking me to right click if i want to change the scale. cadtutor 3.jpg of course i do and i need to, but this: cadtutor 4.jpg
like i said, sometimes it works. I do a few rituals (i just invented) before getting it to show this scales list like right clicking rapidly or holding rightclick repeatedly but not rapidly. and "SOMETIMES" it does work. but more often, it doesn't. cadtutor 5.jpg
I inadvertently saved a document as a jpg and wondered if there is any way I can convert it to a document file that is handled more easily with a file that is other than a photo file?
as of yesterday i have been receiving an alert when i try to move a jpeg into a new photoshop doc stating that my target document has a different depth than my source document and will (which it definiately does) result in lower than expected quality.
Photoshop specs: CS6; RGB; 16 bit; Res 300 pixels/inches; size: letter; (advanced setting - don't know what these are) color profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1; Pixel aspect ratio: square pixels
The code below crashes with an "attempt to write to protected memory" in debug mode (it crashes when it hits acDocMgr.add)but in the Release version it works fine. I am using Command Flags.Session
Dim acDocMgr As DocumentCollection = Application.DocumentManager Dim pStyle As Integer = Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices.Application.GetSystemVariable("PSTYLEMODE") Dim acDoc As Document = Nothing If pStyle = 1 Then acDoc = acDocMgr.Add("acad.dwt") Else acDoc = acDocMgr.Add("acad -Named Plot Styles.dwt") End If
I noticed that the colors of my artwork are different after I saved it.I didn't sign profile, Color mode is 8bit.
I tried saving it in TIFF or PNG extension, but the quality of the colors are still the same. I want the colors of the artwork are exactly the same as the workspace (working area).
I accidently used photo shop to opened a .pdf file and now all of my .pdf file have to be imported to photo shop to open and I am not able to get all the pages. How am I able to correct this problem and use Adobe Acrobat to open the .pdf file?
So after 7 solid hours of tedious UI work I was in the middle of nudging a text layer and my whole document completely disappeared. Photoshop (CC) didnt crash, it didn't populate a new window and I didn't close it, it just vanished. It's not in the recent file list and I can't find it anywhere on my computer.
I have autosave set to every 10 minutes, so I'm wondering if these autosaved files are located anywhere on my computer? Photoshop normally recovers my documents after its daily crash but as it didn't crash in this case there is nothing to be recovered!
When I move my cursor over a document tab that is too short to show the whole file name, a pop-up appears with the full file name. The pop-up covers most of the tab, making it harder to click on it. I'd like to turn off this feature. I don't see anything in Preferences to do that.
I am a digital scrapbook designer and I, and several fellow designers, have just started experiencing some odd behavior in CS. It is occuring on both Mac and PC platforms and in versions of CS3 through 5.
We create 12 x 12 in (3600 x 3600 px) 300 dpi documents used by our customers as "backgrounds" for digital scrapbooking kits. We save the documents as jpg's Basline Standard, anywhere from 8-12. Sometimes, if we open a saved jpg and place (drag) it onto a new 12 x 12 document, we notice that the saved file is just a bit and sometimes as much as an 8th of an inch smaller than the new document, even though they are both 12 x 12, 300 dpi. Additionally sometimes when we drag the saved files from Finder or Windows Explorer to a new document while holding the shfit key to center placement, we're still off by that same 8th of an inch. Sometimes, if we align the horizontonal and vertical, the same jpg will be perfectly aligned and no longer too small for the 12 x 12 document and sometimes you can very clearly see the edges of the layer beneath.
This issue is driving us nuts because it just started happening recently and our customers, who very often have their finished scrapbook pages printed, have also started noticing. I don't have a clue where start trouble-shooting this.
everytime I open a new PS Extended document using CS6 on a Mac with op system 10.8.2 an old document opens. I can delete it in the tabs at the top but I would really like to open a fresh document without this step. I have removed the preferences file and rebooted PS Extended, and I have booted using the three finger option cmd shift but all to no avail as the new document open with the old file in the tabs area.
