Aug 20, 2013I've already installed the Touch Apps plugin. Still, when I try to open the file in Photoshop it just gives me an error saying "Could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document" I've been trying this since PS Touch came out I remember doing it once or twice in the beginning with CS6 but at some point it stopped working. Since then I've tried upgrading to CC and reinstalled the plugin several times. This is also with any PSDX file, not just one.
I'm looking in C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)Plug-ins right now and it's empty except for a folder called Panels which is also empty.

Apr 4, 2012There's no way to get back to the regular paint.net site from the documentation. On the banner at the top, you can hover your cursor over the "paint.net" part of "paint.net documentation" but it takes you back to the documentation. So without manually going back to the site, there's no way through the site's GUI to get there. So it's a small gripe, but it's also easily fixed.

We are in the middle of a few projects using BOSS's RiverCAD but with the new 2014 License files we can no longer use the AutoCAD 2010 that ran with RiverCAD.
So, I'm scrambling to get my user up and running with River Analysis and how (if possible) to port our RiverCAD projects to River Analysis with as little pain as possible.
I have to admit, I don't use RiverCAD and have not yet installed IDSU 2014. (I'm making the deployment now).
I'd really like to ditch having to support AutoCAD 2010 and RiverCAD....

Aug 31, 2012when i make a parent view from model space of 3d objects not all of them will appear in paper space. some times it will only display objects from one layer and other times it will pick and choose. this can also happen when i edit an object in paper space and when i return to paper space objects i was not even editing have disappeared from the view. note this does not always happen, in fact it does not always happen with the same objects.
It does not matter if i open and close AutoCAD the objects will still be gone. This has happened before SP1 but seems to be happening more since the release of it. i can provide a file.

I can find some crap in the general help referencing lisp and vba, but no clearly organized developer documentation. In the previous versions there used to be an acad_ dev xxx.chm file, that was perfect for the job, but I can't find anything similar here. Do I really need to install an earlier version and copy the file from there?

I did a quick test and I found out that with VBA is much easier to use than .net: you can edit the source code while debugging, you don't need to compile and install anything, everything seems to work much smoother.Do I risk to find out that VBA has problems later in the development?

AutoCAD 2013 :: Model Documentation Generated Views In Paperspace Layout Tabs
Dec 12, 2012My group and I are getting an infrequent but annoying problem with Model Documentation (MD) generated views in paperspace layout tabs. We all on autocad 2013, with sp1.1 installed on x64 machines.
We are seeing objects/ blocks showing in the MD views (viewbase created) in the layout that are no longer in model space. One common factor in this is that these objects seem to always be externally referenced (xref) files that have been either unloaded or completely detached (both cases purges preformed afterwards to wipe any remaining blocks made no difference). In this latest case the ghost objects show up twice (we needed 2 of the same xref) at what appears to be the correct old coordinates.
We have no work around for this and when this occurs we either have to revert to an older version from vault or create a new dwg, port all information over and recreate all views. The interesting thing about this problem is that if we revert to an older version from vault, the ghosts do not reappear/ reoccur at the same commands they appeared at previously.

May 25, 2013Have some photos of a warehouse fire in Plymouth Indiana. Files were saved as .jpg Can't get them to open.
One message is "Pain't cannot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file or it's format is not currently supported." Couldn’t display DSC-0023.jpg because a suitable graphics importer could not be found.

May 19, 2012When I first installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 I was unable to run Photoshop or Bridge CS6. Photoshop would give me an error about "could not open a scratch file because the file is locked. If I ran either of these programs as an administrator they would run without issue, this led me to believe that there was a permission issue somewhere. After some digging I found out the both Bridge and Photoshop try to create a temp file (similiar to Photoshop Temp2777223910092) on the c: drive of the computer. In my case the user that I was logged in with did not have access to write to the root of the C: drive. Note that you run the program as the administrator and change the scratch disk location as that changes the preference for the administrator user and not the user that you are currently logged in as.
I first had to give the user that I was logged on with write permissions to the root of the C: drive. Next try and run Photoshop, you will get an error another error about the scratch disk and about and invalid or missing setting file. To correct this you need to have run Photoshop as an administrator, next you can go to Users AdminAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings and copy Adobe Photoshop CS6 Prefs and/or Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs to Users<your logged in username>AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6.Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings.

May 30, 2012I am trying to open a video to edit within Photoshop CS6 x64. I am getting the following message:-
Could not place the document ‘IMG_1664.MOV’ because no parser or file format can open the file.
The video was shot on my iphone 4S and ive even tried converting to other formats yet Photoshop still gives the same error. I have checked through Bridge and I have no option to send to Photoshop on the right click menu. try out the new features of CS6 for video editing.
I am running a 27" iMac with 12gb RAM and 1gb of Video RAM.

We got several image files every 2 weeks which should be edited and mainly reduced in size for web purpose. This work needs 1 work day for one man/woman to do, because he/she has to open the file save for web and then set the quality to a value were the file is nearly about 150-200 KB in size.
The images are different, some have few colors, some have a lot of colors and there are also different in resolution. But they should not be reduced in resolution, only in quality. All other specs of the image should be kept
Is there any possible script, plug-in or similar which can do the same (Saving with a specific max. file size) in some automatic and faster way?

Sep 13, 2012I used to be able to just open any image and my copyright info would be inserted into the file data. I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.
