After processing my NEF files in Adobe PE's Camera RAW 6.5, my NEF files were replaced with XMP files. I checked the Recycle Bin and they are not there. I did nothing different from the past, using Open Image to move the file into the Editing module of PE.Â
View 4 RepliesRecently we added i Mates to some library-parts. Also replaced some Content Center models by models with iMates. When we place these Content Center parts, the only way to activate the iMates is to right click
When creating a new iPart with iMates and publish this to Content Center everything is working well. Our server and workstations are up-to-date, so I think this is a "bug". Maybe Autodesk fixes in the next update.
I've been using photoshop (CS2) on windows XP for quite a while just started getting a strange problem with one font - Adobe Caslon Pro.
When the type is used I get a strange dingbat type font appearing in it's place. (The preview in the selection drop down is as it should be. This only happens in photoshop. All is ok in Illustrator & InDesign, also ok in Word.
I did put some new fonts into the main window font folder a few weeks back from the CS2 CD (goodies). As an attempt at a solution I deleted A.Caslon.Pro font from the windows font folder after first putting it in windows/user/applications/adobe/font folder.

ive had it installed for about 6 months with no problems. came into work a couple of days ago, and my grayscale has been replaced with a purplescale?
if i create a new document, wether its rgb, cmyk, or grayscale, the shades that should be gray are now purple. no color profiles or color settings have been changed, and i checked with a co workers settings and they are the same, anyone know what is going on with this?
also i know its not my system, cause i just opened illustrator, and that grayscale is fine.

I have to take old black and white photos and replace the old faces with those of living people. The photos were scanned out of various photo books, and some of them were quite old. I used de-screening when I scanned them in, but there is still a 'texture' to the original photo and it doesn't look right when I put a nice, clear face off a digital camera shot to replace the original face.
I can buy a DVD tutorial from PixelPops to show me how this is done, but is there a simple way to do this so I don't have to spend the money? Yes, I can do a google search, but I don't even know what term to use for this particular process. I thought it might involve the healing or cloning tools,

View 5 Replies View RelatedI run Smoke 2013 PRT-2 on iMac (Mid 2011), Smoke replace a Backspace key with a Delete key when Smoke is launching. So, I used Japanese Interface on OS X then. I changed language settings into English in System Preferences. After reboot, the UI of OS X has become in English, but the Backspace key is still replaced by the Delete key.
And I check the Keystroke field on Smoke Hotkey Editor, I press the Backspace key that is displayed as a . When the Delete key is . It's a right indication, isn't it?
This problem occurs when input texts in all situation on Smoke 2013. When I switch to other OS X application (ex. TextEdit.app), the Backspace key is just working.
Of course, I use a English (USA) keyboard.
I was editing a block, I saved it and closed the file. When I reopened the file, everything in model space was replaced by the block.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm in the process of assisting a client implement Civil 3D into their work environment. Up to this point they have been MicroStation users. They have now seen the power of Civil 3D and are making the move. However, they're not yet Civil 3D experts and they still have some projects in MicroStation that need to be completed. Â
So in a project in MicroStation they are trying to place a pattern (similar to a hatch pattern in ACAD) into an area but the software has stopped looking for the MicroStation cell file (I believe that's what it's called) and has now started looking for the AutoCAD acad.pat file. This has only started happening on any computer that has Civil 3D installed.Â
Where that search path is located within MicroStation so I can reset it?  Until this is resolved they've halted further installs of Civil 3D.Â
How can You align section cuts to a wall or whatever if it has already been replaced?

To my horror I found that LR had backed up these new 6 photos into a PREVIOUS catalogue - with the previous catalogue's name as well. I now have 6 new photos which have replaced the 300 or so that were in the previous catalogue. They have all disappeared. How on earth did this happen?Â
I use certain ttf font for creating documents in office products as well as in Adobe Products like InDesign. Since there is a newer version of that font available, I uninstalled the older version in Windows -> Control Panel -> Fonts folder an installed the newer version of that font.

Now all office applications as well as some Adobe applications (PS, Illustrator) show the new font from the fonts menu. But InDesign refuses to deal with that font. InDesign still shows the old version. Therefore I checked the fonts folder of InDesign. But this one is empty. How can I convince InDesign to accept the new font?
I have an animation using some interacitve SVG. I used the Edge Commons example (URL...) and it works well.But i have an issue regarding the text codage :I have "spaces" in the text of my layers in the SVG file, but the "spaces" are replaced with "underscore" in the animation.I guess it is a codage problem. Should I look in the SVG export option of Illustrator ? Should i code something in the html file?

View 3 Replies View Relatedit's my job to create drawings for patent applications, and These drawings usually consist of multiple pages with one or more drawings on each page. Each of these drawings has to be given it's own unique identifier (for example Fig. 1, Fig.2 etc).
In the process of designing a complete patent application it is often necessary to change the order of figures around and/or add new ones, remove old ones and so on. Now we get to the macro part.
What I need is a macro that identifies an artistic text placeholder (let's say <figures>) and replaces it with a text that says "Fig. x", x being counted upwards starting from 1. In essence I need the macro to count how many times it has already replaced <figures>, and insert the correct number. After the macro has done it's work I want every placeholder replaced with "Fig.1" or "Fig. 2".
I just purchased CS6. I've got a document that I've been working on for several days. It has several layers of text. When I try to edit the text in a layer (layer is selected), the moment I place the curser and click, it changes all the text in the text box to a line of text that was previously in the area. It's almost as if the file doesn't see my current layer of text and sees a previous layer. I have several other layers of text that are doing the same thing, but not all of them are acting weird.

I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.
For some reason, the tool palette I usually use is not accessible. I opened a drawing that a co-worker was using and my tool palette now looks like an old version - it doesn't have any of my custom tools in it. How do I get back my tool palette??

I need to put them into an in design doc to send out for printing. Is there a way to convert all of these in one fell swoop without messing up the work that has already been done?
I didn't allow in my timing to save each one individually since i didn't know I was going to need to do this. I am really unfamiliar with batch processing, so how to best go about this, or if I even can. I am working in Photoshop CS6. version 13.06 x 64.
I am using Photoshop Elements 10 Version 10 (20110831.m.17215) and everytime I plug in a memory card to upload images it wants to upload every image on the card, even though it has previously uploaded images from that card, even though I have the "Copy New Files Only (Ignore Already Imported Files)" box ticked in the preferences Camera or Card Reader section. This gets very frustrating and time consuming when I have to go through the images every single time to uncheck the images that have already been uploaded.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working on a museum project. I have been asked to convert full resolution files to web based files using "Save for Web and Devices". The problem is in the file naming. Museums typically use accession #s for each work. Example  1999.63.102 So the digital file would be named 1999.63.102.jpg (or tif).
When I attempt to save the file using "Save for Web and Devices" the resulting name is converted to 1999.jpg I believe the . (periods) to be the culprit. There are hundreds to do so renaming is not an option. This does not occur when I use "Save as".
PSE 12 has a new feature under Preferences/Camera or Card Reader called "Alutomatically Stack RAW and JPEG." Checking this will stack a RAW & JPEG file combination, i.e., when shooting with the camera's RAW + JPEG setting checked. In my case PSE 12 appears to stack my Panasonic RAW files and each JPEG thumbnail shows the right facing arrow to expand the stack. When I click the arrow the arrow disappears but the stack does not expand to reveal the RAW file. The RAW file still exists on the hard drive, but I can't find any way to reveal it in PSE (I've not tried to re-import the RAW files because there are a lot of files in a lot of folders.) This is rather critical and needs to be fixed.
