Jul 1, 2011I want to see with different backgrounds. I have scanned a portrait, and I can delete the (white) background so I get a checkered one and put it in a paint.net file. I can put the background (a) say in another file. I can't merge the two together.
I have opened an image (pear) from the net, deleted the white background around the pear, and tried to copy and paste that in my background. What I get is the pear with the white around it on top of my background.

Feb 26, 2013Why cant I save a cdr job with all the merge fields setup so that next time I open the file I can go straight to 'merge to new document'.
So Ive set up a 10 to view raffle tickets job. Inserted 20 numerical merge fields, positioned, resized, applied font size color alignment etc etc etc.. Takes ages..... So then merge to a new document, works nice and I can save it fine.
There are a hundred reasons why i may have to close the 'master' merge file before the job has been successfully printed. It may be a repeat print job.
Any which way I really dont get why the live merge data fields are lost on closing the file.

Sep 4, 2012For what I need Photoshop for, I use CMD-E all the time to create raster graphics from vector shapes. I often use this feature to combine shape layers to create buttons. So, this completely destroys my work flow. The only work around I've found is to create an additional raster layer to merge with the vector layers.

Apr 4, 2009I try to lay 2 pics together, the first one will lay down as a background, then I click on new layer and name it but when I try to pull the next pic up it creates a new background!! AARGH!! I can't seem to get them in the same layered project. I do however get the layer that I name but NOT the new pic.

Sep 15, 2007I'm going prematurely grey over it. Here's what I've done so far.I've opened the two files for the pics I want. One is for the backgound image the other has a quick mask I've applied for the foreground. I opened a new file and enlarged the canvas size. Then tried to drop & drag the background image into the new canvas. That doesn't work. However when I drop & drag the one with the qick mask it will co-opertate but the pic grows far too large in the new canvas.
