Im trying to turn in a image into a photocopy. In the filters drop down there the sketch option is not highlited so i cant access this option as well as extract, filter gallery and pattern maker in one section. The section with sketch is also not letting me acces artistic, brush strokes, pixalate and texture. also dimarc isant highlighted. i have reset to default work space reset all tools and brushes what else can i do.

A few days ago, I suddenly cannot find the eyedropper to select color, either in type or color functions. When I click the color boxes, it now opens up the color menu with the usual sliders, crayons, specturms, etc, but no eyedropper.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am editing raw color images in PS CS6. I process them through Adobe Camera Raw into PS. When I apply any of the B&W Sketch filters to the image it changes the image to a B&W negative rather than a B&W positive. The color filters work normally on the same image.

However, I noticed that my "Sketch" filters do not include the comic or graphic novel options. Were these two omitted from the Mac-version? Or do I have a faulty copy of the program?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have hardly ever used filters for any of my work as I have preferred using Xara's native tools and effects to get what I wanted. But recently, I was inspired by some animation work which used backgrounds painted in Photoshop. They used a lot of textures which enhanced the look of the animation and so I thought I'd try to simulate it within Xara.
It works very well and I can export it as a PSD retaining the layers and Alpha channel. But here come my questions.
1. How can I remove the two Alien Skin demo plugins as I already have the full versions.
2. Why don't the native Photoshop plugins--Artistic, Sketch, etc.--seem to work?
In CS3 you could change something to make all filters act like smart filters, even though they won't. I found this worked very well, now I have CS4 and would like to do the same but can't remember what to do to make it work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on a dormitory project and need to provide a required light and ventilation schedule. I have figured out how to create a schedule for each level, but I want to isolate only the Dormitories and the Kitchenette (weed out all the other rooms such as corridor, elevator, storage, toilets, showers, stairs, trash, electrical, etc.).
I tried using seclusion filters, but there are too many items to exclude and cannot fit them all into the 4 filter categories. I am trying to just get the rooms that begin with 'D' and 'K'. I tried providing the variable 'Begins With' for D and in the next line 'Begins With' K, but then nothing shows up.
Is there a way to provide information to the filter that would allow it to show only rooms beginning with D AND K? I cannot seem to get it to work. I have been playing around with separation values within one filter category (i.e. 'Begins With' D, K) but apparently you cannot add multiple variables within one of the filter items.
Where can I find feather option and smooth/refine edges option in Adobe Element 7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI work in Sketch-Up a lot creating urban streetscapes and such as I am the graphics person at a community planning consulting firm. Sketch-Up is great for quickly drawing and creating 3D models of screens; however, it is not good for producing a great looking final image to show to a client. What I want to do is export a 2D graphic from Sketch-Up and make it look like it was hand drawn. I am semi-proficient in Photoshop, meaning I can follow a tutorial and be able to tweak and apply what I learned to fit my needs but I can't seem to find something that gives me what exactly what I'm looking for. I've uploaded an image that represents the style I am looking for. This one was done by hand on tracing paper. I can't draw by hand to save my life so I want to create the model in Sketch-Up, export the screen as a JPEG, load into Photoshop and process to make it look like it was done by hand.

The model works fine but the shared sketch generates a sketch doctor error because the feature that created it has been suppressed. View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I duplicate the 2D line work from a part level sketch into a drawing level (overlay) sketch?
I started a simple 2D piping system diagram sketch by opening a new part file and using a sketch to stick draw the system schematic including some annotations. Then I opened a new drawing file and made a base view of the part file to bring a view of the original sketch into the drawing.
I realize now that it would have been much easier to have created the schematic directly in a 2D sketch at the drawing level, which would have made editing the annotations much easier at the drawing level, and there is really no need for the part file to exist. I have no intention of creating a 3D model or "real" part in the .ipt file, was just using it as a jumping off point to sketch.
I was thinking that I could correct my error in judgment by just copying the sketch and pasting it into a new sketch on the drawing, but it doesn't want to work that way. I have tried copying both the whole sketch at the browser level, and the entire sketch contents (all of the lines and annotations) from the opened part sketch, but when I attempt to paste either of those into the drawing, paste does not seem to be an option. I'd rather not have to draw the whole thing again, as in typical fashion, my once simple sketch has grown in proportion and complexity from its simple beginning.

First we imported an ".igs" file to inventor, which produced "wires". Then by promoting the wires it produced a 3-d sketch.
The model is in one plane and 2-D, and we are trying to use Ansys 2-D analysis, but in-order to do so it needs to be in a 2-D sketch.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed Photoshop CS3 on a newer PC which runs Windows 7 Home Premium, after the programme was locked on a PC running Vista which died on me and which I have just had repaired. However since installing the programme, every time I turn my PC off and then on again next morning, I have lost the internet.
I have been getting around the problem by running the HP network check and the automatic repair that it performs is to "reset the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Adapter". However this only works until the PC is turned off again and then I have to do the whole process again. Is there a way to fix this problem permanently? I was hoping there would be an update from Adobe that might sort the problem, but Adobe don't seem to be able to work with that as they say the programme is too old and don't have online support for this.
I have followed everything that is suggested by HP i.e. rebooting the modem and router.
If I reset the PC to before the programme was installed the problem goes away. When I reinstall the problem comes back. Its definitely to do with the Photoshop programme, but I don't understand why.

I convert the original picture in to TIF.
then Go to Image size increase the Percentage by 100 to 125.
and Again save this file into Tif with Name A1.
Then Again Open A1 do same size change 100% to 125% and save this by name A2.tif.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I take a screenshot and paste it into photoshop I am losing a lot of color. Here I took a rainbow gradient and placed consecutive screenshots side by side.
The first bit is the original, then the first screenshot, then a screenshot of that, and so on. I've been looking for answers and found a few people with similar problems, but I seem to have all of the settings correct according to those solutions. I am using Win7 x64, I have the latest drivers for my video card (GeForce GTX580), the image is set to RGB, and my working space is sRGB IEC61966-2.1.
Whenever I try to save a picture (see guitar picture on website) to my hardisk, and open it in photoshop, the color quality substancially degrades. the black guitar from the website seems to turn to brownish black. how come? but when i open w/o using photoshop (within windows only), the color seems fine. just like the original from the website ....

What silly mistake could be overlooked here? The shift in resolution is akin to looking at a image in InDesign in standard vs high quality.
