I've been trying to make a decent image of that kind for a long time but can never make it look accurate and symetrical if you know what i mean. I was just wondering if anyone new if theres a cheeky way to do it on photoshop or any other program for that matter.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am supposed to be translating a website from english to japanese; having received an Excel document with all of the translated copy, Photoshop refuses to utilise any fonts other than something called 'ms mincho' or 'ms meiyro' (sic).
I want to employ any of the fonts designed for the japanese alphabet which i have researched and purchased online. Photoshop refuses to display these. I have also activated the 'asian fonts' under 'preferences'.
Any decent fonts which will display the japanese alphabet on copy/paste of characters from another application, or is this an adobe photoshop failing.
I need to use a brush to create Japanese style brush strokes - like Japanese calligraphy as exemplified in the link below....
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have some Japanese fonts installed on my cpu and I was trying to use them in PhotoShop (PS) but they don't show up as the Japanese (and other) characters. In photoshop CS2 in the font selection drop down menu you know it gives you a preview of that font using the word "Sample" for that particular font. For example if you were to look at Arial to the right of it the word "Sample" will be demostrated in the Arial font. (yeah that was confusing to type) Well in that dropdown menu it displays in the Japanese characters. However, when I select that font to begin typing it uses normal alphanumeric characters. When i previewed the font in the windows font viewer it is also displays as normal alphanumeric characters.
Example fonts: MS Gothic, MingLIU,SimSun.
I believe all of these are True Type Fonts
As soon as i paste Japanese text and click on a different layer, photoshop freezes and crashes. Any thoughts?
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open cs6 photoshop 64 bit
2. Create a new appliaction
3. Add a layer
4. Paste in some japanese text (Sample text - ご旅行中も、安心してワンちゃんをお預けください)
5. Hit enter
6. Click on a different layer (background layer)
7. Crashes with the following error -

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an aluminum blu tooth mac Japanese keyboard. The tilde key is shift+^. I tried to use the tilde key in illustrator to duplicate the drawing of a shape. But shift constrains the shape to be drawn from the center. So I remapped the tilde key to be on top of the ^ key so I didn't need shift, and still no go. I tried all the keys on my keyboard and can't get the effect of multiplying what you are drawing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn Illustrator CS5, I would use a font called Kozuka Mincho Pro/EL. Illustrator's font selector would show the font with the English name. I'm on a Mac running 10.7.4 and Font Book shows me the font with the English name as well. After upgrading to CS6, the font name in Illustrator is being displayed in Japanese. Unfortunately, I don't read Japanese. Is there some way to correct this on my end or is there a bug in Illustrator CS6?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI’m having a problem exporting a Japanese character in my PDF proof of my book. I’m using this character ( 間 ) in a number of different places and it looks fine in the Blurb book layout tool but it’s missing in the PDF when I export. Not only is the character missing but all of the text that follows it in the text box is gone too. Is there some special type of language pack I need to install for Acrobat to export correctlly?
I’m on Windows 7 64 bit. Using LR 4.1 release.
I wanted to edit these Japanese characters.
They were combined, so I had to separate them first. I picked them and used the Break Curve Apart feature. And here's what I got.
All inner contours were GONE! Here's the file.
I have been having the following happen in a number of my drawings for the last two weeks. Whenever I wblock anything, I get the follwing characters added to the message:

I have a jpg of a Pokémon picture that the filename is Japanese character text, and Gimp ALWAYS give a "failed to open '?????????????.jpg'" error message when opening files containing Japanese characters!!! I can put Japanese characters using the text tool into a picture using gimp so I KNOW it knows the Japanese charset, but that error message ALWAYS occurs with images with filenames containing Japanese characters.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recorded an action to create a transparent image on a batch of photos. Next I ran the image processor using the File/Scripts/image processor. When running the action the error message occurs no matter how many ways I attempt to modify the action. Error: The object "Style "Shape Style"" is not currently available.
I then look in the action window to check and under the steps Make Fill Layer: Style: Shape, Style 1 appears but I can't delete it. This one error message makes it impossible for me to image process a batch of photos with a watermark on them.
I am looking for a way to change the text style used by a table style with Visual LISP. So far I have been able to get the IAcadTableStyle object from the acad_tablestyle dictionary, but there is no property for text style. Is this even possible? Code and results are below.

I read that it's not possible to import a style (styxml file) into the style editor through the API, there is no dedicated command.
However I'm wondering if there's a a way to have the internal name corresponding to the button as we can do for the ribbon buttons (there's a sample code which does this).
So is it possible ot get the internal name of a button inside a dialog box (style editor here) or is it really hopeless to think I can import a style with a macro ?
By the way, that would be for Inventor 2009.
There is a font and table style called "Legend" that is automatically generating and can not be purged.
I have looked through all the start up files, all the lisp files and can't find anything that would be creating them!
They appear in any file I open, new or old and even if I open a template file.
I have attached a file that should be empty but you will (or should) see both a font and table style called "Legend".
(FYI I am running AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 as AutoCAD 2010)
Is there any way to lock a text style so that the associated font style can not be changed?

If I manually change it to a child style and then check the values, they are the same as what I'm trying to set them to. If you use a "parent" style then these both work. Am I doing something wrong or this another limitation?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with a template, that doesn't allow me to change the dimension style. In the project the Use Style Library is set to Read/Write. I have created my dimension style, at this point just a copy of the ANSI standard with a text size difference. I went to my template and set that syle as my default, and saved it. Now the fact that it doesn't automatically update the drawing I had alreadycreated is a nuisance, however if I creat a new drawing, the style has reverted to a different standard, that is not even the ANSI default. If I right click a dimension and change the dimstyle to what I saved it does update, but if I try to change the style again it defaults to a random dimstyle, AND changes the style even if I hit cancel. So... the question is how to make the changes stick?

The example would be that I have stuff made from way back that the colors/dimension sytles ect dont match the current standard and upon opening a file where they are not current, it would either prompt to update immediatly OR update automatically with no prompting (preferred method).
I am doing a massive amount of updates from old files recently and to save myself 1 - 3 clicks per drawing would be wonderful.
Is there a way to search for a text style in a civil style? I have a text style that our company is trying to get rid of and I would very much like to not have to go through our 72 company styles.
