I'm trying to install the Extractor Filter in Photoshop CS 4. When I click on the Extractor Plus.Plugin on my i Mac, I get a dialogue box stating "Could not complete your request because Photoshop Elements does not recognize this type of file. I have both PSE 10 and PS CS 4 installed on my i Mac (Version 10.7.4). How can I install the Extractor filter in PS CS 4?

well it worked once then went away then got it to work again then now its gone its not staying and the file is still there when i open with ps and check the filters not there.

In the New Blue Free Effects install Assist for VS box it said that the path would be to the vft.plug (via prog filesUL SystemsULVS11). In my VS11+ vft_plug folder-- New Blue Cartoonr,vtf files 131kb and date modified 26 06 2010 showed.
But the filter is not there in the filter library of VS.Did not show on reboot either.I was not asked to register.
Just after i downloaded the adobe photoshop trial it was nowhere to be in site the the WinZip Self-Extractor poped up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime I use the magic extractor function ir freezes/locks up the program. I do get the status of the extraction process after picking my background & forground, yet when I attempt to preview my photo it acts as if the process is working, but in the end I don't get a preview image of my selection & the program has locked up. I'm running XP with SP3, 3.49 GB of available RAM and 20.8 GB of free space on my drive. The image I am working with is 2592x3888.

basically i need to cut out an image (cupboard) so it can be used for advertising purposes and i need clean lines at the bottom of the cupboard as there are shadows i need to edit out.
I used Magic Extractor to extract a person from a pic. Then wanted to superimpose it on a landscale phot I had. Trouble is the checkered part which should be transparent is solid white. Tried saving as PNG, and PSD, didn't work.

I am using Paint Shop Pro X4, with Italian language.
When the mouse pointer is hover the Accuracy selector (in Object Extractor section) PSP crashes.
This happens only if the language is set to Italian, no problem if the language is English.
I think there's problems with some tooltips.

I tried to use the lens flare filter in Photoshop CS6.While the lighting effect is interesting, it introduces ugly artifacts like blue or orange blobs (which are supposed to be the reflection of the diaphragm, but do not look anywhere close to that, but instead are just cheesy looking blobs of color).
In the "movie prime" setting blue lines are added which have nothing to do with lens flar.On top of it, the preview is about the size of a stamp. Any way to use the filter without getting these artifacts, or is it - what I assume - just a useless toy filter, that has probably been dragged on for years and years because it's always been there? What do you use to create a lens flare effect? Are you just building it from scratch with brush work?
camera raw filter does not show up on the filter drop list on CC. I am trying to determine why this is the case. So far everything else seems to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've deleted my PS preferences and restarted, and I cannot get this filter to do what is was just doing a day earlier. It doesn't matter what the foreground/background colors are, nor does it matter what the resolution of the file is. I've experimented with every variable. The filter effect changes the filled layer to a solid color of the current foreground color. No lines, dots or circles at all.
I'm trying to make lines in a filled layer, or a rasterized text layer.Adjusting the sliders has no effect at this point, but the other Gallery filters DO work, oddly enough.
I've used this filter effect many times over the years, and it just started acting wonky. This is PS CS6, on Mac OSX 10.8.5.It seems to be unpredictable or temperamental. Is there a reasonably-priced plugin that will create lines that are completely adjustable?
I have Photoshop CS4 running on a 8 gig Vista 64 bit system. When I click on Filters, there is no Extract Filter. I did a search prior to posting and saw some threads talking about not moving files, icons etc from their original folder. I am un sure if anything has been moved. However, when I click on Filters, they all seem to be there (at least not greyed out), EXCEPT for the Extract filter. Any help would be apprecited and if you let me know where the filters should reside I can make sure they are in the correct location.

I've installed them before, but uninstalled them both. Now I am getting the following error.
I have a student edition of CS5 Extended. I have been running it on a Linux Ubuntu system with virtural box 32 bit only. I happy to announce I now have a new PC with windows 7 with an upgrade to windows 8 that I can purchase. I was wondering since I will now be able to use the 64 bit Photoshop on my new system what is the procedure to get my serial number for my new PC? I do not know where I saved it. I still have the disk nd the boxWhen I install it tomorrow (Monday Oct 22) Also Should I upgrade to CS5.5?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with installing any Adobe CS5 programs on my Mac OS X 10.6.8. I successfully installed a Master Collection CS5 edition that we use in my school. But then I had to reinstall all of them and after installing it says it was successfull but all I find in my "Applications" folder is just folders of the applications and nothing to launch inside. I thought at first that maby this had something to do with cashe so I cleared all cashe and manually looked for more files that maby would have remained on the computer but I could not find any. What can I do to reinstall it successfully?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, and more than enough space on the computer, have deleted my existing version of CS2, and It keeps coming up and saying that it was checking system profile (or something like that) and now I have just tried it again and it comes up with several errors, the first one is MAIN_FILE_VERSION. The second one is PRODUCT_REGISTRY_PARENT. And the last one is PRODUCT_REGISTRY_KEY. I am trying to install the student eddition, and have sent in my application into adobe already. I am usually really good with computers, but this is just running into a hole for me, and I really need photoshop as I have a shoot tomorrow and need to edit it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe company I've just started working for has gotten a copy of CS2 with a 5 user license for the 4 machines. I managed to talk them into letting me use the 5th license at home (I work from home from time to time). Woohoo
However I've been trying to install it on my 1.8Ghz AppleMac G5 with 512Mb AM 120Mb free HD space and running Mac OSX 10.3.9 and It won't.
I run the installer program it asks for my admin password and then calls up a dialog box saying...
"All Adobe applications must be closed before your new software can be installed.
Please close all Adobe applications that are running and then restart the installer."
And makes me quit the installer.
There is NOTHING running.
I have dumped ALL existent Adobe software.
I have created a new User Account and tried from there.
I have safe booted and tried like that.
I have repaired my Disk Permissions
I have created Disk Images of all the disks and tried installing from the desktop.
Still does the same thing.
within photoshop CS3 ME setup.
when i click on setup file, a window opens with this contents:

I own the Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Web Premium and I just purchased the Adobe Production Premium CS4. I just rebuilt the machine with Vista 64 and am about to reinstall all the software. I'm trying to figure out if I can skip Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3 and Version Cue CS3 when I install the CS3 suite and just use the ones that came with CS4 or is this going to cause any issues? (i.e. should I also install the CS3 versions?). I was told to make sure I install the Flash CS3 before the Flash CS4, but what about Photoshop and Illustrator?
