Nov 27, 2013This Q must be very old. Why can´t someone invent a sigle button for this I have tried all the things by the book but still when I try to lay text image with white background over an image the white is still there althoug I made it transparent. tried to sa for web as png-8, png-24 and gif. nothing works. To use magic wand gives bad result when applied to text? So what can I do? I am trying to place text over image. I know I could write it over the image but I need the text as a transparent layer some place else.

I'm trying to do the opposite...I'm trying to cut the text into the shape of the image.
When I try to use the clipping mask with the text over the image, it will not give me the option of the clipping mask. When I put the image over the text it then gives me the option, but cuts the image into the text....
I have a clean image and want the text to cut itself into the image.

I've typed in the text in the color that I want. I've clicked on the magic wand, clicked on the white space and I get the checkered background. But it also covers my text and then when I try to use the saved image, it's all completely transparent.

Illustrator :: Disturbing Lines When Rescale A Pattern?
Dec 1, 2012i create a pattern with the pattern maker, fill a square with the pattern swatch and rescale it, i always get thin lines inbetween the tiles. It is definately correctly aligned, and when i print it, you can see them too. I tried as well expanding the object, to enable "align to pixel grid" in the transform panel, I tried to uncross "anti-aliased artwork" under general preferences, i don't know what else I could do.

So i placed the png files and image trace it with high fidelity photo as my preset.
I tried out all the preset,mode and so on,but it changed my smoke effects.That's why i chose high fidelity photo,bt i can't check the ignore white box, i can't remove the background.I tried low colour.but the smoke part become white colour ,obviously when i change the background colour.
Second method that i used was image trace(high fidelity photo)>expand>ungroup>delete the white part..but it doesnt work...
Illustrator :: How To Reduce File Size Without Disturbing Profile
Jul 15, 2012I have a illustration in .iso(isodraw) format. I'm exporting it to ai and opening in adobe illustrator for removing unwanted lines(becasuse the .iso is exported from Pro-E). Then Im reopening it in Isodraw to apply some line thickness. Because i want the file to be completed in isodrwa and export it to .cgm.
My target is to reduce the file size to very minimal. The entities in the drawing has lot of nodes. Im using simplify option in AI to reduce the nodes in turn the file size reduces.
What are all the other ways to reduce the file size without distrubing the profile of the illustration. Otherwise redrawing of the entire illustration will reduce the file size??
In a nutshell Input is .iso.......Output is .cgm. By using isodraw and adobe illustrator software which will be the best possible way to reduce the file size.
VideoStudio :: Cross-fading Video Without Disturbing Audio Sync
Jan 16, 2012I'm trying to edit a music performance shot with multiple cameras, both video and still, using VS X4. I'd like to e.g. insert (full-screen pan & scan) still pictures into the video stream with video cross-fading in and out, but I cannot find a way to get a satisfactory end result without breaking audio/video synchronization.
I've tried the following:
a) Put the picture on the overlay track. If I now put cross-fades on the overlay track, the fades are to/from black, not between main track video and overlay still, which is not the desired result. It is expected functionality, though, so no bug there.
b) Put the picture on the same (main) track with the video. First, I split the audio to a separate audio track to keep it intact. Then I split a piece of video out using chapter markers as guides and replace the cut-out piece with a still picture of equal duration. So far audio sync remains fine. But if I now insert cross-fades into the main track, it gets out-of-sync with the audio with every cross-fade (video gets shorter, probably to compensate for the audio missing in the still pictures?), and it is really cumbersome to manually repair sync after every transition.
Would there be any way to get cross-fades in for multi-camera processing without messing audio synchronization? Some nice function key (press CTRL/SHIFT/ALT etc. while dropping the transition onto the overlay track to force it to process between the overlay and the main video track instead)?

Aug 24, 2011I seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.

I must have hit a wrong button setting. Now everytime i select "T" the text option and put the cursor on the layer to type, the entire image is shadowed red.. after i finish typing something and hit enter the text is glowing.
