View 13 RepliesI need to do a job which consist of a high-quality print of 14cm high x 1100cm long os the color pectrum. the color spectrum order would be: black -> purple -> dark blue -> light blue -> dark green -> light green -> yellow -> orange -> red -> and again dark purple.
Like a big long gradient line from the spectrum as we see in the colour pallete.
I do't have a lcue how to do this, can someone help me in a detail tutorial?
Ps.: I have Photoshop CS3
I'm trying to create a curved "spectrum" of color to use behind the numbers on a gauge.I first tried a linear fill, going from green to red. It's easy, but it doesn't produce the yellow in the color transition.
Next, I tried placing swatches of colors and then using the arch as a mask ... but it would only pick up the solid colors, so there were no transitions. Is there a way to bend the straight color spectrum bitmap shown in the graphic?
I want to covert a color photo into black and white but bring back a certain color. How many ways are there to do this? Which method is the most professional (as in provides the most professional finished product) I've read about doing it using the paint brush to bring back the color, also the color selection tool.
The particular image I'm trying to achieve this on is not so simple. The part I want to bring color back into is a dripping pink ice cream, so there are small drips and blobs, often with fair skin color in the background. Ice cream is dripping down face and hands and body and I want to preserve these details accurately. The bits I need to bring back aren't large blocks of color so I'm finding it very difficult to achieve a professional look.
I'm totally new to Photoshop and I was wondering if there was any way to get only part of a color photo black and white but keep the rest of it in color. I want to highlight some people in my pictures.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm aiming to take RAW photo files, edit them in a wide color space, and when posting them to the web, save them as sRGB.

My workspace is as follows:
Â
I open RAW files in Photoshop via ACR as 16-bit ProPhoto smart objects. When I finish editing them, I use "Save for Web" with the "Convert to sRGB" and "Embed Color Profile" boxes checked.
Â
Photoshop and Bridge tell me the profile in photos saved as such is sRGB as expected. When I upload to a site like flickr, however, the metadata says the photo is still in ProPhoto. See an example here: [URL]...If I use "Convert to Profile" and change it to sRGB, then upload to flickr, the metadata says the photo is in sRGB, as it should be.

is it possible to convert a photo into a silhouette in cd. I have been playing around with a few pictures but not getting great results, although they are improving each time. What I want to do is convert a picture of my neice into a silhouette and maybe cut it in vinyl.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a grayscale image that I want to apply color to. I know how to do that by just colorizing it, but instead, I want to apply a color for the whole document. I know how to do this if I want it to be, say, blue (where black is 100 percent of my blue and 50% gray is 50% of my blue, etc.). But, what if I want a unique gradient across the image (where 100% is blue, 50% is 50% red, 10% is yellow, etc.)? How would I do that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any way in Elements 9 to convert a color or color range to "transparent"? I want to change a white background of an imported image (a map) to transparent so only the non-white objects (lines and shapes) are present. The image is way too complex to select each area individually.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a color picture, and I want to convert it to B&W, and then I want to add another color to it (for example – red). I don’t want to paint some areas in it, I want for example to keep all the red parts of the picture, or only part of the red parts.
It something like in the movie Schindler's List, in the B&W scene where you see a little girl with red coat.
How do I make a photo sepia and leave an item in the photo the original color?

I have two photos, shooted probably the same day, by the same photograph in the same place !But the pose is a bit different. first one is in high resolution and in black & white nuance. second one is a small resolution and in full colors.
Â
I wish re-color the black&white photo using exactly the same nuance from the colored one.
Â
can i "copy" all the colors from the color-one to the b&w one ?
Â
i hope there is a quick way to do that with adobe photoshop or with a commercial plugin. Something like : i load the first one (color), i load the second one (b&n), and i press Ok and magic appears !

I am trying to think of a way to create a graphic similar to the one I've attached. I am not asking for a 'how to' but more 'How do I approach this?'. I guess the first thing to find out is if there is a name for this sort of effect. 'Colour spectrum wave effect thing' won't get me far.

I have watched the video from Brusspup (look at youtube Brusspup) how he made a nice artwork using Photoshop to convert a photograph to 5 colors and nice dots in rows and columns.
My question: How he did this. tell me the steps needed to convert a photo to 5 colors and dots. I will use this for an artwork like Brusspup did, but not with puch pins.
How do I take a black and white photo and turn the background white into a color of my choice? I know that I can change the foreground (black) with monotone, but I want to change the white (inverting the image would just invert the problem, so it's no help). The text is too complex to mask or fill bit by bit. There must be a simple way to convert white to another color, but I am at a loss. I would be happy to include a file

I have the list of x,y coordinates for the CIE colour spectrum. How do I import the list so as to draw the spectrum curve?? The curve is the horseshoe shaped curve shown in the figure below [not the straight lines which are colours boundaries] that contains all the spectrum colours. Seems to me I should be able to import the list somehow and CorelDraw would then produce the line. Â

So, when a layer is all one color (not counting variation in alpha values), is there a technique to change that to a specific other color, rather than just toggling the "Color Balance" to get an approximation?

Is there an easy way to do color tints on a photo in PhotoPAINT? And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.
Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.
