I have watched the video from Brusspup (look at youtube Brusspup) how he made a nice artwork using Photoshop to convert a photograph to 5 colors and nice dots in rows and columns.
My question: How he did this. tell me the steps needed to convert a photo to 5 colors and dots. I will use this for an artwork like Brusspup did, but not with puch pins.
what Im looking and seen it around other places is like an outer glow but instead of a glow its dots where the dots closest to the object are large and close together and as they move out they get smaller and further apart...

I saw where others are having the same problem. Some are and some aren't. As long as I leave the custom made nibs loaded they display and spray correctly. If I load the default nibs or any other nibs then go back and load the custom nibs..that's when I get the black dots. I've remade my nibs several times thinking I did something wrong but that's not the problem.

is it possible to convert a photo into a silhouette in cd. I have been playing around with a few pictures but not getting great results, although they are improving each time. What I want to do is convert a picture of my neice into a silhouette and maybe cut it in vinyl.

How do I take a black and white photo and turn the background white into a color of my choice? I know that I can change the foreground (black) with monotone, but I want to change the white (inverting the image would just invert the problem, so it's no help). Which method is the most professional (as in provides the most professional finished product) I've read about doing it using the paint brush to bring back the color, also the color selection tool.
The particular image I'm trying to achieve this on is not so simple. The part I want to bring color back into is a dripping pink ice cream, so there are small drips and blobs, often with fair skin color in the background. Ice cream is dripping down face and hands and body and I want to preserve these details accurately. The bits I need to bring back aren't large blocks of color so I'm finding it very difficult to achieve a professional look.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm aiming to take RAW photo files, edit them in a wide color space, and when posting them to the web, save them as sRGB.
My workspace is as follows:
I open RAW files in Photoshop via ACR as 16-bit ProPhoto smart objects. When I finish editing them, I use "Save for Web" with the "Convert to sRGB" and "Embed Color Profile" boxes checked.
Photoshop and Bridge tell me the profile in photos saved as such is sRGB as expected. When I upload to a site like flickr, however, the metadata says the photo is still in ProPhoto. See an example here: [URL]...If I use "Convert to Profile" and change it to sRGB, then upload to flickr, the metadata says the photo is in sRGB, as it should be.

I have H & S X5. How do I convert a RAW file to Jpeg.
I click open and my RAW file opens in Camera Raw Lab, I make my adjustments and click OK - it then opens in PP but I don't have the option of saving it as a jpeg.
When I asked for the file ext to be associated jpeg shows in the filter but is not available as a 'save as' option. I can do exactly the same in PSE8 and have the jpeg option.

I now have the situation in Corel Photo-paint where -
1 I open a grey-scale image (.jpg).
2 I paste (as a new object) an RGB colour item (a previously created .cpt file) onto the grey-scale image.
3 I then "Convert to 16Bit grey-scale" in order to change the whole new image to grey-scale, but the pasted object is being automatically flattened into the image and I can no longer work on that object independently.
I never had this before, as I was always able to convert to grey-scale and the "pasted object" would remain with the mask outlined and still allow me to work on it.
What is the best way to convert a color photo to black and white for commercial printing.
