Photoshop :: How To Suppress Prompts / Press OK From Within Actions

I have a bunch of photos I want to watermark for my website.
I know how to build Actions. Made one to resize all the pics to the same width. Then I built an action to create a visible watermark.
The problem is when I use the watermark action in Batch mode, the Emboss command within the action causes it to stop and display the following dialog "This type layer must be rasterized before procedding. Its ext will no longer be editiable. Rasterize the type?
I created a block with 4 tags. I also created a block properties table, which after the block is placed can be activated and acts like a pull down menu and will update and populate the tags.
When I insert the block I get a prompt for each tag, is there a way to suppress these prompts for a block? I tried the setting ATTREQ to 0 and that suppresses the prompts for all of the blocks I use in the drawing, and I only wish to suppress the prompts for this particular block. I am using AutoCAD 2013.
I have an action that opens a file (raw) and simply saves it to jpg. For some reason, it keeps prompting me to hit "ok" like it does whenever you save a raw file without automation. Any idea how I can get rid of that? I'd like an action that simply takes every file in a directory and saves it with no processing to a jpg.
I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that’s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit “load actions” and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking “why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) “Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost”.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldn’t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don’t run.
I’m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.
I'm trying to create multiple prompts using the ATTDEF command, but it only lets me create one at a time. Is there a way so it will prompt multiple different lines of text or do I have to create different attributes for each line?
As an Autocad user since Rel. 2.1. My favorite is when attempts to draw a line using feet and inch input while units are set to decimal. How "Point or option keyword required" is supposed to guide using the correct units setting? With DYN Input on, the red outline offers even less information. Are the prompts user editable?
I work using AutoCAD 2010 i think an old drawing that i have taken over was created using cad2007, and due to the compatibility issues between them, every time I save the dwg (Ctrl+S) i get prompted/asked whether I realllly want to save the drawing in 2010 format (yes/no) It's always yes.
is there a way to permanently disable this prompt either:
My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.
I am writing a lisp routine to automate creation of views. In the routine I am setting ucs to match user-supplied points, setting my view orthagonal to the temporary ucs, then setting ucs back to world.
The first object works. The routine creates the ucs, creates the view, asks for the next object to start anew, and then stops because AutoCAD is asking if I want to "Save current UCS with named views?" I thought I would just make a "Temporary" ucs, but if I do that, AutoCAD wants to know if I want to overwrite "Temporary" because I created that ucs name the first time through.
I have a question about using Find and Replace in an Action. For a bar chart with negative values, Illustrator will generate the value on the axis using a hyphen (e.g., -1, -2, -3). I would like to change the hyphens to en dashes (–1, –2, –3).  I have 150 graphs, so the easiest way to do this would be to use an batch action on all graphs in a folder. I first flatten the graph and then do a find-and-replace..The trouble is that I get prompted at each find and replace..Of course I can click Find, Replace All, OK, Done each time, but this essentially defeats the purpose of creating an action.  Is it possible to suppress the Find and Replace window and set the action to Replace All without prompting?
I have been using an AI template to produce a lot of art as SVGs. The source Illustrator file has a bottom art layer, and several layers above that (6) which have a small PNG image that is basically a simple gray button. The same PNG is shown as embedded 6 times and then saved out as an SVG with the options of Profile: SVG 1.1; Type: Convert to outline; Image Location: Embed; CSS Properties: Presentation Attributes; Decimal Places: 3; Encoding: Unicode (UTF-8) and Include XMP is checked. Â Some of these resulting files have since stopped working, and upon opening, display the error "Could not find link "05AE065BE.png". Â The file is not linked, and the requested file name is generated randomly. The file shows no gray button PNGs, just the empty sublayer that they are on. Â I've gone round and round on how this is happening, and have only found information on file character limits and even file path character limits, and server character limits. The file name of the embedded PNG is 27 characters, and the crazy file path and file name totals 137 characters. Â Why would an embedded file be causing a linking error and random renaming of the embedded file? And also, why is it only happening on some of the files and not all of them? They are built identically within minutes and batch processed!
I have been charged with taking over a newsletter for our other shop. They print this on a web press. The lady there has told me that the pictures need to compensate for a 30% dot gain. Can I just apply the Dot Gain 30% profile in Photoshop and that takes care of it?
When I do this it darkens the picture on my screen considerably, is that just showing you what it will look like when printed?They also want the pics @ 85lpi and 300dpi, does this sound correct?This is my first foray into the web design world and the newsletter has looked pretty bad in the past and I think this may have something to do with it.
Is it possible to build a deployment package that prompts for the serial and product key when it's being installed? We have about 90 or so Engineers, our company refuses to pay for a network license and wants the pacakge deployed out through SCCM. But because of the way our company is set up we've got about 70 keys (some are multi activation. I could just build a package for the Standard and Premium suits and just prompt for the serial during installation.
A friend gave me a bunch of newspapers to mock up and put on her site. Some of the articles are quite large, sometimes continuing to three different pages. My first thought was to scan them, mock them up in photoshop and have one LARGE page with the article that I created and people could scroll left and read the massive article.
Now I am thinking this would not be best for printing. Then I thought of the pdf multiple pages idea. Then there is the method of making the text editable and basically recreating the page like a newspaper article online.
Since I updated to Inventor 2013, every time I try to print an idw as a pdf, it prompts Windows to configure Navisworks Simulate. Message says the feature is on a CD-ROM or removable disk that is not available.  The odd thing is Navisworks Simulate is already on my computer as part of the Inventor 2013 installation.   Should I reinsert the CD that has Navisworks on it? If I just keep hitting cancel it eventually gets to the pdf creator and everything works fine then.I am thinking of uninstalling the Navisworks.

We have hundreds of macros for inserting blocks into drawings. Many require the user to input values for attributes. The command line in 2013 does not display the user prompt for entering values. ATTREQ is set to 1. ATTDIA is 0. We don't want to display the dialog box, just the prompt. Here is what a macro looks like...
There are two pauses before text orientation for a user to enter information.How do I get the attribute prompts to appear in the command line? Works fine in 2012!

It's an upgraded version of an earlier concept by Gopal Ramesh. It's been downloaded almost three times every day since it went up, so I guess people expect it will be useful.
But the website's description includes: "this routine does not provide access to the Layer or Erase options of the built-in Offset command." The reason for that is that I'm working back in 2004, so those options are not present for me to emulate. [The Undo option in the routine is one that was added in some later version, but is a very useful enhancement for people using older versions, like me.]
I do also have an Offset-to-any-Layer [not just the source's or the current Layer] routine posted there: URL....
And I have a simple little routine to Offset something and Erase the source object. So I think I have all the "pieces" to include those options that newer versions have, but that I don't. I would like to combine the functionalities into the Offset-with-running-options routine. That way, if people want to use it to redefine the Offset command as I have done, in order to get the while-running distance change option, those working in newer versions won't be losing the Erase and Layer options in the process, and those in older versions will be gaining yet more options.
I have Photoshop CS5.1 and a Macbook Pro.Most of my colours are pretty spot on in a picture, it just seems to be blues where they are nice on screen but in reality (when printed in cmyk on a litho press) are much too magenta.
I totally understand my screen is RGB and backlit etc etc but wonder if there is a way, a simple way, and the best way for my screen to emulate what a picture will look like when printed in CMYK on a litho press as near as it can.
As I say its only the lack of magenta in the blues on screen that is the issue.The only way I seem to be able to get near viewing the image on screen so it looks more magenta in the blues and therefore know by how much to remove in photoshop. How to desaturate monitor colours by 20 percent in Photoshop colour settings and tip my screen away!
I'm using Photoshop CS. I want to make a text, and then I press the enter button. But, instead of a second paragraph, the text overlays. How can I solve this problem?
with practice over the last week, I've gotten pretty good at using the pen tool to make selections. I was wondering, when I go to use the direct selection tool to refine my curves…  The pointers sometimes get in the way when I'm trying to be as precise as possible when I want to refine my curve . Is there a shortcut key that I could press to hide the pointers while I am trying to place my curves?
when using the clone stamp tool and press the alt key to set a point it seem to create a new layer and just moves the layer arround. I can not get the clone to now work. what did I do?
I'm on OS X 10.8x and just upgraded to Photoshop CC. I can no longer press Space to toggle the hand tool temporarily. Â am I missing something during migration?
1-if i select any selection tools( marquee or lasso or any )and then select or draw on any layer (including image also ) and then right click it wil shows to select linear or radial or path and add to shows no of copies and distance and scale input box in properties bar.  2- if i right click to select invert selection on selected image or layer  and then right click it will shows to select linear or radial or path and add to shows no of copies and distance and scale input box in properties bar.and if i create radial copies,it will shows additionally inward and outward direction input box in properties bar.  3- if we select eyedropper tool using alt key and press + ability to select inner and outer ring color with feather value.  4- if we select isolate layer and then press p to shows full preview of all layers.
I'm having the "Arbor Press " as a project..I did everything except the 4 screws that we place in the Cover Plate..i don't know how they look like but i got a description of it that i cant understand "Cover Plate Screw ... (8-32 UNC x .50 cap screw)"I'm using Autocad 2008 & i have to draw it in 2D.
Alright, so I was using this site earlier to create a 3D park where, because of how I cad, was told to use the "press and pull" command on closed objects as they will be pulled or pressed into 3D shapes.
Up to this point it has worked on every structure I can think of but this time around it has not.
I am working on a Whale Slide for the park and, for some reason, I am unable to press/pull the parts out in order to complete the 3D effect.
This is the area I am tryin to press/pull:

Now, as you can see the entire slide is not complete yet. The reason being that I don't want to cad it all out only to find that it doesn't work. The "tail" part of it was avle to form pefectly fine but this part will not. I have tried the loft, swipe, etc. commands but they never make a solid object which is what I need. The lines are all connected and I've pressed/pulled angles before so I'm not to sure what is wrong.

I need information on a couple of issues. I create a newsletter for a public library in CorelDraw on a pc and my printer uses adobe on a mac. I export my work as an ai file, but he tells me that my images that I convert to a grayscale bitmap are rgb, the text that I copy and paste from Microsoft word have random open characters that are filled in (like o's) and are multiple blacks even after I change them to pantone process black u and that my black is not plain Pantone black (there is no plain BLACK in my pantone pallettes). I use process black u and 100% Pantone 300 U.Â
we do a lot of sheet metal fabricaton, using inventor and autocad to create the drawing for a laser then the pars are formed on a press brake.Â
My problem is showing necessary diminsions for the press brake when there are 2 or more bends. The first bend is no problem I can show the diminsion from the edge to the bend for the backgauge setting, the second bend needs a diminsion from the flange of the first bend to the bend line of the second bend for a back guage setting. That is the diminsion I am having trouble showing on the drawings.
I would like to give the press operator the backguage settings on the drawings.for each part.
