I have downloaded various website header templates with demo text on them i.e "This is where your company name goes"
If they are designed for photoshop its easy to edit the text to my own. "Find and Replace Text"
But on other header templates I can't do it this way. Is there another way that I can do it?
I just purchased a plr blog and I cannot figure out how to edit the header text. I want to change the text to match my domain name. The file is a psd but I believe gimp can edit psd? The header is:

editing the text in a web page template that I downloaded from a free template web site. The page is .psd file, I opened it in photoshop ver 6, went on to those layers which are having text. the layers clearly denotes T , I double clicked on T but as per tutorial I read on a web site, the text is not highlighted or selected, instead the blinking cursor comes over that text and when i try to write something it overwrite the new text over the previous one and previous text is as it is as its before.
I also tried to edit the text by going on vertical tool bar, clicking the T button, and then double clicking on the required text but it also doesnt work. After going through couple of tutorial websites and reading it, I came to know that text layer might be rasterized, I checked in the main menu, the layer is not rasterized and clearly show the letter T.
I have a header on a wordpress theme that i want to edit. the theme is:

On the left hand side of the header there is an oval with the words Fishing Charters, i want to change that to say World of Fishing.
I have been unable to rotate the header text in a parts list. I created a new text style that is rotated 90 deg, a new part list style that specifies to use that text style in the header. Everything else about the text in the header displays correctly (i.e. font, size, colour, etc) but not the rotation when I insert the parts list in a drawing using the correct standard. When I apply this same standard to a regular text line on the drawing it will rotate the 90 degs but not in the part list.

aIs there a way to Format the Column Header to wrap text & rotate text if necessary? I would prefer if I could only Format the QTY Column Headers, but leave the others s is.

They are trying to reuse their own customized template to other PCs, they are copying these files to the template folder of Inventor. This method is successfully done in all of their pcs except for the two.

to save sections of the canvas as individual images. In its current
state, all the text is saved as an image. Accordingly to make any
changes to the text I need to do all the editing in Photoshop. I would
like to be able to save just the images and have text fields that are
editable in Frontpage or Dreamweaver.
In Dreamweaver tried simply deleting the image splices that contained
text and inserting a text box. When I do so all the other images become
misaligned and my whole webpage is screwed up. I would also like the
text area to be adjusable. Is there any way to make the surrounding
images adjustable to accomodate more lines of text without losing the
alignment of the images?

I have a family photo including many text layers. I'm trying to edit the text in a selected large multi-line text layer. I'm following the steps from the appropriate PSE article, but I always end up creating a new layer and the red/green no-go/go option. I thought I should just be able to double-click the text layer and start editing.
Is there a way to export text from InDesign to Photoshop and preserve the type as editable text in an area text box, similar to the export to PSD in Illustrator? Designed many web site pages in InDesign, and now need to covert all pages over to Photoshop quickly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having this strange issue with the Photoshop type tool in Photoshop CS5. It might be, although I'm not sure, a bug. The tool itself is working and lets me add text and edit. But the box that shows up when editing text (and the blinking line that shows where I am in the text) - has gone invisible. I am having this issue in only one document. - I tested the type tool on other documents, and everything was normal. I've looked up shotcuts and hotkeys to check if I've tapped a key or something, but it doesn't appear to be so.

Now about the document; it does have quite the amount of text layers, and a lot of text in them. I've tried resetting the type tool, and I've restarted the program.

When I restart the program, the tool works as it's supposed to - but after editing or adding a new text layer, the editing area is gone again! Is this a bug, or have I touched keys that do odd things?
I can create a text box using the edit panel but no text will appear in the box. the pointer or curser won't appear in the box. I was able to insert text the first time I used Elements 10 but not anymore.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to set up my template for architectural drawings. I would like to use annotative text and dimensions and leaders. I have selected a font and am trying to set my Paper Space text height to 3/32" so all drawings in all scales have text of 3/32". When I type in 3/32" it returns a value of 1/8". How do I get it to recognize the 3/32" value. Also if I save this in the dwt file will it always be set for this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe've a drawing template we've used for years with no issue. Recently, it's gone a bit strange. Text on the template is resizing itself, and we don't know why.
We open a drawing template and it looks fine. We go into iproperties to edit some of the fields. When we exit the iproperties, some text has somehow made itself huge, and other text has gone small. I'm suspecting this is something to do with the styles library, which we've only recently started using.
I would like to make a template / mask containing only text, which I could use to overlay a pictute, so that the text shows on the picture when saved & displayed as a *.jpg

with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. it's gimp 2.8.0
How can I go back and edit text? I tried going back and editing the text I had, but the entire text disappeared.
I'm using a text effect, I need to edit the text itself while still maintaining the effect.
I don't want to start over and repeat the lengthy process of making the same effect again with new text.
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
I'm a new user of PhotoShop (v6.0.1) and I'm trying to add a photo (.gif) to a header (.psd) I've started & will use in WordPress.
I cannot seem to click & drag the logo to the header. It does not come out of the window or space that it is in. I think this can be done because I have seen it done in a tutorial video. I see the logo layer has a lock on it, is that possible the problem? I cannot seem to figure out how to unlock it.
what header/logo style do you ppl think i should have for this new layout im doing...?
