Photoshop :: Single Image Into One Panoramic Image

Jun 3, 2009

I am trying edit photographs for website production and I am using an already made wesbite template.  However, the images that are already on the template are not the same size as the photographs that I am wanting to put on it.  The template image size listed is as follows:  Pixel Dimensions are W939xH373; Document Size W13.042xH5.181; Resolution is 72.  The photos that I want to use are normal size from the camera.  My question is this:  Is there a way to convert the size of the image into what is needed without the photo being distorted and look elongated?  I am using Photoshop CS3.

Photoshop :: Shadows In Panoramic Image

Aug 23, 2005

The attached panorama is a composite of 4 other images. I am very satisfied with the overall result since there is a minimum of distortion and the color is more than decent. I am not satisfied with the two gray triangles that are in the center of the image. What would be the best way to get rid of those shadows? Is it possible to adjust the images prior to making the panorama which would reduce or eliminate those gray triangles. I should point out that the 4 images used were "perfect" without any gray areas.

Photoshop :: Slicing A Panoramic Image

Oct 6, 2004

I have stitched together some photos from my Canon digital camera using the bundled software to get a panorama photo in jpeg format (the photos were taken in panorama mode on the camera). Now I want to do something seemingly simple: split up the huge created image (14251 x 1596) into handy 6x4 chunks so I can upload them to ofoto (or whatever) and get them printed as cheap 6x4 prints that I can paste together on my wall. So for 6x4 I'd like to split it into 2394 x 1596 images at the original quality (with the last image in the set being padded with white so it matches the other slices in height). I've tried using the slice tool in photoshop 7.0 but there there are 2 problems: a max slice width of 1000 pixels and Image Ready only allows creating a useless gif file. Any ideas (apart from writing the tool myself in Java or C)?

Photoshop :: Panoramic Image/canvas/print Size ?

Apr 30, 2009

I have a Epson R2880 and want to print a series of panoramic prints on it, i have set up the print to be 8x24 inches. When I open the panoramic and give it the size of the paper, CS3 automatically resizes the print, so if i set the image to 8x24 the height of the actual picture is either 8x40 or 3.78x24 .... is there a way to get a real 8x24 print or will CS3 always resize to a fixed set of dimensions ?

3ds Max :: How To Use 360 Panoramic Image As Background

Oct 29, 2011

How to use a 360 panoramic image as a background in 3ds max. Each time I have tried it, the background image appears too close to the camera, making my objects look small. No matter how big the image is in pixel dimensions, it always appear too large in the viewport; there's no setting in 3ds max to scale it back so that it looks farther away from the camera. I seen ones that use a background image and use camera matching to line up the camera, but I need to have the background setup so that it does not matter where the camera is pointing.

Photoshop :: Image Resize After Canvas Resize In CS6

Jun 11, 2012

In previous versions I have been able to resize the canvas and then resize the image.  For example resize the canvas to 250px x 250 px.  Then resize the image to the same.

Here is the process I am using:

Duplicate the layer and then hide it.  Resize the canvas (Image > Canvas Size) to 250px x 250 px.  Un-hide the layer and then resize the image (Image > Image Size).  When I go into Image>Image Size it says that the image is already 250px x 250px.  However if I try to transform the scale the image is the original size and not 250px x 250px

The reason for needing this is I resize image size (in bulk) and the canvas size using the batch process (file>automate>batch) and actions.   I loaded the actions file I used in previous versions, but that did not work correctly.  I then went in to do this manually and got the same results.

Photoshop :: For Video/television

Feb 1, 2006

I'm trying to find out what kind of base concerns and settings there should be when creating graphics for television (resolution, color, file type, etc.). Essentially, I want to learn the basics of broadcast graphic production; the do's, don'ts, and the never-ever should's. If this is too involded a question, perhaps someone could refer me to a book that goes into greater detail than that of a forum.

Lightroom :: 4.4.1 - Using Images For Slideshow / Set Aspect Ratio 16 X 9 For Viewing On HD Television

Feb 23, 2014

I have an folder with approx 500 photos that have been optimised in the Develop module (aspect ratio set at AS SHOT)  and exported to photo lab for 2 x 3 prints. Now I need to use these same images for a slideshow and set an aspect ratio of  16 x 9  1920 x 1080 for viewing on HD Television. I do not want to change the AS SHOT aspect ratio of these images in the current folder.  so first, this means I need to make a copy of this folder within Lightroom and second, change the aspect ratio to 16 x 9 for all images at the Quick develop module and complete in the slideshow module. The second part is no problem but how do you "copy" a folder of images in Lightroom OR alternatively can you make a virtual copy of a folder?

Photoshop :: Image / Resize / Image Size In PSE7

Feb 6, 2013

I am having trouble with Image/Resize/Image Size in PSE7. In the past I had a document size of 4x6. When I wanted to reduce the # of pixels, I just entered new #s and the document size remained the same. A couple days ago I changed both the document size and canvas size. I cannot get my old settings back. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program, I also have PSE11 on a trial basis and it also only sees the changed settings. I've tried changing Scale Styles, Constrain Proportions & Resample Image, in addition to changing the Canvas Size but cannot get it to work like it did before I changed the settings.

Photoshop :: Seperate Image Resize And Image Compression

Jun 13, 2008

I have completed a project and I need to verify that, based on what I implemented, image should be resized but quality of image (both JPEG and GIF) should not be reduced.

My question is it possible to verify the result using photoshop or some other tools? How?

My college said it is hard to check if an image looks different because of image resizing or because of quality loss or because of both. He said I have to create some log files to trace the result. It is a little too much work for me.

Photoshop :: Image Distorting During Resize?

Oct 19, 2012

I've found that photoshop is distorting the image when resizing. If you have an image and you duplicate the layer, then with the bottom layer set its size (by free transform) to 99% (width and height), then set the top layers opacity to 50%, the image should be evenly blurred but it's not. It is in focus in the middle and blurred around the edges.

Photoshop :: Correct Way To Resize Image

May 29, 2013

I have my own large format printer which accepts 54" wide rolls of media. I plan on printing a number of photos on canvas, and am wondering about a few things:

- If I wish to make a 40" x 30" print, what is the correct way to re-size the image in PhotoShop (CS6)? Out of my camera, the images are 4592 x 3448 px, so do I simply punch in 40" x 30" in the "Image Size" menu, and then select "Bicubic Smoother (for enlargement)"? (see attached image).  Or should I just re-size the image in the RIP software?

- Some of the images were shot in Raw, but some as JPG. For the ones that were shot Raw, should I also save them as JPGs before printing, or is TIF better?
