Photoshop Elements :: Bulk Delete Duplicate Pictures In 11?
Oct 31, 2012I imported about 2600 pictures from iPhoto to Elements 11 on my iMac OS 10.8.2. Now there are hundreds of duplicates; deleting one at a time is a real pain. Can I identify and bulk delete duplicates in Elements 11?

The re-install doesn't ask what you want to do with the current contents like the earlier versions did so I virtually just got a copy of what I already had and still can't delete. Jun 23, 2013in PSE9 I could sort an album by date of the picure and then afterwards change locations of single pictures. This was extremely convinient to me. Now I upgraded to PSE11 and I can sort pictures in an album either by date or album order. But if I sort by date, I cant use this as start and only change locations of single pictures afterwards. If I want to do my own order, I need to start from scratch, use the initial order of the album and mover almost every picture.
Do I miss anything or is this functionality from PSE9 really simply gone?

Sep 14, 2013A lot of pictures of my collection do have GPS-data in EXIF-header. Sometimes they are shown on the world-map, sometimes not. In list-view they are never shown. The list-view knows only locations, which are matched with PSE.
The EXIF-input was made by two different tools (Holux GPS Software and Geosetter 3.4.16).
How can I get the list-view for the saved files without using PSE adding location?

Feb 9, 2013I have LR 4.3, Camera Raw 7.3
Until yesterday I was able to delete pictures, using the contextual menu or the delete key. I got the message asking me if I wanted to delete them from disk or from the catalog.
But now, that popup message doesn't appear. The picture is not removed, just nothing happens.
I checked the logs and this is the error message:
performCommandDesc could not perform command ag.library.expandAllStacks (Command was disabled.).
I uninstalled LR moving it to the trash. Then I deleted the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist and I also removed the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.
I rebbooted the machine and installed it again. But the issue is still there, with the same error message.
I verified the disk and checked file permissions.
I also tried to use another catalog from a backup.
Nothing, same error.
One anusual thing that I did before the error was to install the "HDRsoft Merge to 32-bit HDR Plug-in for Lightroom - Version 1.0"
I removed it but the error was still there. After the re-install I didnd't install that plug-in again so if it was the problem, it shouldn't be after the clean installation that I did again.

Jul 12, 2011I have a very old model from one of our previous projects. It was previously rendered with max scan line and had standard materials on it. Now we are updating it for a HD render and updated with mental ray and arch&design material. When doing test renders there have been some very strange results, on closer inspection I have realised the models have been duplicated. They have been duplicated in exactally the same spot and are part of the same element. I’m currently trying to go through each polygon(element) and delete the duplicate but its taking an age. It was a model imported from iges format so the model is very broken up.
Any good method for deleting duplicate surfaces?I have tried xview but selecting the results just seems to select the whole model which ever method I choose.

Before now I have used the Twain interface.If I push the "scan" button on the printer, it says "waiting for PC".If I use the WIA import option, PSE asks which pictures I want to COPY.I copied the Import Export directory from Optional Plugins to Plugins, and selected it in PSE preferences, but the option for Twain does not come up when I select Import.

I did not create all these criteria, they just appeared one day. The problem is that I can't seem to be able to delete the duplicate ones. I get an error saying that the criteria "is currently in use, so it can not be deleted". I have deleted all the grading in my file and I still get this error. I have tried RECOVER and AUDIT several times with no luck.

Jan 30, 2012how I ended up with a shared network drive duplicated under the folders area of Lightroom 3.6. Maybe it was a user error but now my network drive where I have 15,000 pictures appears twice in the folder area and it is constantly updating (since there are quite a few pictures).
How can I delete the duplicated drive? I have "removed" all the folders under the duplicated drive (and made it disappear) but the drive keeps coming back as the synchronization process will add all the folders that exist on that drive.
The two drives with "Volume_1" in the name are actually one shared network drive (I only have one). I actually removed my network drive mapping (N:) to fix the problem but that did not even work; LR still found a duplicate name for the same network drive and started to synchronize (again).
