Photoshop Elements :: Cannot Find Where Edited Version Of Picture Is Located
Jan 4, 2014
I moved my pictures to a saved folder and after I used Photoshop editor I cannot find where the edited version of a picture is located? Photoshop elements 9 seemed to just put alongside my original. I am using Photoshop elements 12.
I edited a picture that involved a layer, it asked me to save it as a jpeg picture which I did. Now I cannot find the picture I edited or the original picture. It comes up as a white page. What did I do wrong and what can be done to revert it.
I accidentally downloaded photos to PSE 11 and spent hours editing them before I realized I was in PSE 11 instead of PSE 12. I had already converted the PSE 11 catalog to PSE 12. I'm hoping there is a method to move the edited file from PSE 11 to PSE 12. Do I have any hope???
Having edited photographs in editor and saving the edited photograph, it says processing but does not save the edited version and i am left with the original.
I have been using Elements 5.0 and recently I'm having a problem with the photos that I edit, (using the Photo Editor), not showing up in the folder I designate for them in Save As. Am I missing a setting that in my Organizer?
I installed Photoshop Elements 11 today on to my new Windows 7 computer, but have been unable to access the photos, categories and slideshows which I had created in Elements 5 on my old Windows XP computer. The Elements 5 ones were copied from my old hard disk to the new one - without using any version of Photoshop in the copying process. I believe that all the Adobe folders and files were copied, but I cannot work out which folder contains the photos.
I recently purchased a new laptop and i would like to install Adobe elements 11 on the new machine. I have the serial number of 11 download so I thought I could picup the trial version online and enter my serial number. However I have been unable to find the trial version (a lot of site say the have it but spend most of the time trying to redirect you to something else.
I was running V8 on an old PC. I got a new PC and downloaded a trial version of V12. It restored my catalog from V8, but I can't find my groups/ categories in the new version.
Saving edited pictures in PSE 12. Despite ticking the version set box the picture is saved a separate edited print and not in a version set. This has just started to happen, until two days ago prints were saved in a version set quite satisfactorily.
Can you correct a very grainy picture in photoshop elements 12? Picture was taken with a Sony A500 in low light at 6400 ISO (used to stop action) and Raw Format/JPEG. Tryed to correct in raw with no luck.
Cannot find picture when transferring from Aperture to PSE 11...I have an older version of PSE and when I transferred a picture from Aperture to PSE9 it would open PSE9 and show the picture.
I set the Preps in Aperture for PSE 11 and the PSE 11 opens but no picture in the box or photo bin or in the top left "open".I changed the Aperture setting to the PSE Organizer and the same thing happened Organizer open BUT there was no picture to be found.
In Aperture it shows the file being transferred.I looked in the PSE 11 preps and file but could not find anything. The fact that it opens the PSE 11 app tells me it is being recognized but the picture (file) is going somewhere else.
I took an existing title block out of another document and pasted it into my 'standard.idw' file, modified it, made it the default title block and it looks pretty good. Problem is, having saved the 'standard.idw' file it saved it under a project header and now everytime I open said new drawing I get the error that it is not part of my existing project. Obviously.
Is there a way to create this file, with my new title block and not get this error, supress or have it projectless?
Also, with that in mind my other problem, which I am sure is related, is that I put an image in my title block, which gives me e error that my picture is not located in the current project. Currently I bypass that one by hitting skip and it still retains my image, which is fine.
These two things together are slight annoying but I can live with it until I deduce a way to kill these errors.
Why are my previously edited canon 5d mark 3 raw xmp files no longer recognized and all sliders set to zero? I can see the xmp files associated with the raw file in their folder. The files were originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x -in July 2012 - and recently re-opened in the same CS6/ACR 7.x.
The canon 5d mark 2 files from the same time/event are showing up fine. I have updated everything, but both before and after the update, same issue with the Mark 3 files.
On a side note:We have found that opening mark 2 files (that were originally edited in CS4 / ACR 5.7) in CS 6 / ACR 7.x and making any changes such as color coding causes all previous xmp information being zero'd out in the mark 2 xmp file. Not sure if this is a symptom of the same problem? Except the difference here is the Mark 3 files have never been touched outside of version CS6/ACR7.x - however the folder which holds both mark 2 & mark 3 files from the same event has been opened in the CS4 / ACR 5.7 window but without touching the files. By opening the folder in CS4 I can see that the Mark 3 files aren't reading and then know this event was originally edited in CS6/ACR 7.x

Im using photoshop CS3 on Vista, now Im trying to remove the background from a picture using the filter, extract method, I did that correctly and can now move the picture around over the gray and white tranparency backdrop. My problem is trying to save the picture without a background. Every time i save it as a JPEG the white background returns, Im trying to upload the picture to a webpage without a background, so it matches the webpage's background, and doesnt have the white background it originally had.
I upgraded to Windows 8 from Vista, and my PSE 7 disappeared. I have loaded PSE 11 on my computer, and now I want to convert the original catalog for use in my current PSE version. However, I cannot find the catalog on my hard drive.
I'm interested in identifying a set of pictures in a large catalog which have been edited. There's 44K images in the catalog.
Is there some way to make a collection of only the images that were modified in Lightroom? And conversely, only those images which were imported with no changes?
I have a lot of images in my library. Last night I was working on a picture, I had to force restart the computer this morning.Just wondering if there is a way like "previous import" to show the images "Developed"
I don't use smart collections much. Could that be set up as an attribute? Like the way Itunes has last played in decending order.
I'll have to scroll through 5,000 images now to find it and export to PS for some final work.
I exported LR3 edited files as web files with a watermark on them. However, I can't seem to find the edited un-watermarked images in the Library, ony the original unedited RAW files and the watermarked web files. I need the edited files prior to my exporting them as watermarked web files.
After the installation of Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 on my new system, the catalogs of version 10 do not appear for the conversion to version 11; my 2 catalogs are installed on a LACIE-2BIG NAS system.

I have a dying laptop with Photoshop CS4 on it. I want to reload it onto my new laptop but cannot find a download version of PS CS4 (no disk) any longer out on the internet or at least from a trustworthy site. I have the serial number from the active program. I have the original activation key. I could only find an Arabic CS4 version out on C/NET but my activation key numbers are coming up as invalid. I had to do a software reinstall of my old laptop a year or so ago and was still able to use my original activation key. That was when I could still find a US version of PS CS4. I've tried to deactivate my current software on my old laptop with no luck. My theory is my activation key code will only work on a US version of Photoshop CS4.I can be pointed to a place where I can download a US version of PS CS4 and that my activation key will work.
I have discovered many plug-ins do not work with the 64bit version of CS4. These programs will work with a 32 bit version of CS4 on a 64 bit system.
Where do I get this 32 bit version? Do I need to dowload it or was it downloaded along side the 64 bit version when I purchased the upgrade (I purchased the download version). Should it already be in a folder somewhere and if so where?
