I was running V8 on an old PC. I got a new PC and downloaded a trial version of V12. It restored my catalog from V8, but I can't find my groups/ categories in the new version.
View 2 RepliesOrganizer 11 imported my v.9 category and subcategory tags and converted the people-centric ones into stacks within groups. Sub-category tags still appear present appended to images within the stacks in People mode but are not listed and do not seem accessible in Media mode. Is there a way I can assign these "ghost" tags to an image in the same easy drag & drop way as those listed as keywords in media mode (or make them accessible in media mode)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe photos appear to have retained their keyword tag info but all the sorting into sub-categories and categories has gone as have all the album and smart album data.After all - no self respecting huge software company removes user data and functionality - they must just have omitted to mention what I needed to do in their (less than impressive) help files.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed Photoshop Elements 11 today on to my new Windows 7 computer, but have been unable to access the photos, categories and slideshows which I had created in Elements 5 on my old Windows XP computer. The Elements 5 ones were copied from my old hard disk to the new one - without using any version of Photoshop in the copying process. I believe that all the Adobe folders and files were copied, but I cannot work out which folder contains the photos.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm aware that Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 is not supported by Adobe anymore. I have thousands of photos organized on it using its "Category" function. Does Photoshop Elements 11 have a similar function? (I'm in the midst of also switching to a new computer and my old one can't load the info on the PS 11 program available on this site.) I'm extremely concerned I not lose the ability to retrieve my pix by the categories I've already assigned them, when I switch to PS 11 on my new computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to PSE 12. So now all my organisation folders are under the "keyword" tag. And I have a lot of them. Of course they are organized in folder/subfolders. And the main ones are "places" "events". The same as the default ones in pse.
So is it possible to move categories/directories from the keyword tag to event/place/people tags (drag and drop doesn't work).

In Photoshop 12 attempt to associate by dragging a photo in the Organizer Media screen elicits message "Error applying Keyword Tags". I have a dying laptop with Photoshop CS4 on it. I want to reload it onto my new laptop but cannot find a download version of PS CS4 (no disk) any longer out on the internet or at least from a trustworthy site. I have the serial number from the active program. I have the original activation key. I could only find an Arabic CS4 version out on C/NET but my activation key numbers are coming up as invalid. I had to do a software reinstall of my old laptop a year or so ago and was still able to use my original activation key. That was when I could still find a US version of PS CS4. I've tried to deactivate my current software on my old laptop with no luck. My theory is my activation key code will only work on a US version of Photoshop CS4.I can be pointed to a place where I can download a US version of PS CS4 and that my activation key will work.

I have some stacked and some unstacked images in a group. If I 'select all' I can't unstack the stacked ones. If I select more than one stacked image I can't unstack both at the same time.

I just discovered survey figure groups and am playing around with them. Great way to bring certain figures in & out. What seems crazy is that I have to check them on/off one at a time. Am I missing something or is this the only way to add figures to a figure group?
