I have just upgraded from Elements 9 to Elements 11. I have converted all my catalogs and all the images appear OK when I open the catalogs. What does not appear is a list of categories and Keyword tags.how I get these to appear.
View 4 RepliesI just upgraded to PSE 12. So now all my organisation folders are under the "keyword" tag. And I have a lot of them. Of course they are organized in folder/subfolders. And the main ones are "places" "events". The same as the default ones in pse.
So is it possible to move categories/directories from the keyword tag to event/place/people tags (drag and drop doesn't work).
re: Adobe Photoshop Elements 12, downloaded to Windows XP in the presence of Photoshop Elements 11 which was then removed. In Photoshop 12 attempt to associate by dragging a photo in the Organizer Media screen elicits message "Error applying Keyword Tags". How can I associate new photos with categories, Keywords? on the left derived from Photoshop 11?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Organizer 11. First time evething was ok, persons/faces were detected correctly, then after a few month Organizer doesn't detected new faces and said every time that all faces were detected already also when I imported new fotos from my camera...
(I use the german version, so I can not tell you the exact error message in english, hope you unserstand what I mean.)
As I found no solution, I created a new catalog and imported all photos including their tags newly to this empty catalog. But allready tagged persons are not persons anymore - their tags are now in the "imported keyword tags" (German: "Importierte Stichwort-Tags") and not in the "person/face tags".
How can I tell the organizer that the imported Tags are persons/faces to having no douplicates in the person-tags and normal keyword-tags?
Here some Background Information about my system:
PSE 11, Windows 8, 64 Bit 8GB, Intel i7.
3 catalogs with each 8000-10000 photos.
I have just upgraded my Swedish PSE7 to an English PSE11. Of course the people keyword tags did not get converted into people tags because People is called Folk in Swedish. I was not aware of this mechanism prior to upgrading. How can I convert those keyword tags now?

View 6 Replies View RelatedOrganizer 11 imported my v.9 category and subcategory tags and converted the people-centric ones into stacks within groups. Sub-category tags still appear present appended to images within the stacks in People mode but are not listed and do not seem accessible in Media mode. Is there a way I can assign these "ghost" tags to an image in the same easy drag & drop way as those listed as keywords in media mode (or make them accessible in media mode)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have used multiple versions of Lightroom (2, 3, 4, and now 5). Why can't I add keyword tags to multiple photos? I know that it can be done while importing, but I usually import a whole day's worth of pictures at one time and they don't require all the same keyword tags. The ones that are common I do add during import. I used to be able to highlight the photos I wanted to add tags to, go to the metadata and find find the list of keywords applied to those photos. Tags that were not common to all photos has an * beside them. If I wished to have one of these tags for all the selected photos I just removed the *, otherwise I added the new tag to the list.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis has been occurring for a while, and is quite consistent, but I've never bothered to ask. When I select Find/From History/Imported On, a window pops up with "Delete Keyword Tags" and a progress bar which starts to move. I always immediately hit cancel, and then the "Select one or more groups you imported" window comes up, so I select the date and things work fine.
So what is going on with the "Delete Keyword Tags" window? I've not noticed any tags get deleted, but am I risking losing them if I didn't immediately hit cancel?
I am using PSE 10 in Windows 7 environment. Have thousands of photos and hundreds of Keyword tags and many Categories and Sub-Categories.
It would be nice to have these Tags & Categoris names in an Excel file (or, comma separated text file) that I can use to easily see what Tags I have so that I don't create new tags with slightly different names. Such an easy-to-access and mange Excel file will be very useful, I think, to the overall cration and management of Tags.
I recently upgraded from vista to windows 8.
I then upgraded from Photoshop elements 9 (I think) to Photoshop elements 11. I had catalogs and pictures scattered in different places so one of the options was just too gather all of the photographs on the hard drive and start a new catalog. It worked, and so all of my pictures are under one catalog name which is perfect. The key word tag categories are listed as I had sent them up in the previous version, but none of the photos are actually labeled with their keyword tax. How can I reattach the tags to the pictures.
I have been using keyword tags for years in previous versions of Photoshop Elements. In version 12 at first I noticed that they were harder to apply. But now, something has happened that has removed the list of tags. How do I get them back? (and where do I find out how to use them easily)?
