Photoshop Elements :: Shared Technologies Have Failed To Install
Feb 10, 2013
unable to reinstall PE11 after system restore. I have established that it is something to do with Toolkit CS5.5.I already have PE9 installed.Using Windows 7.
My Photoshop Elements 11 won't install because Shared Technologies failed to install. I followed www.adobe.com troubleshooting instruction but it still won't work. What do I do?
Purchased a elements 11 disk from a store. After it finishes installing it says application has failed to install Shared Technologies. The program then starts rolling back the entire install and no programme is install.
I cannot load Premier 11 and get message 'shared technologies failed' the remainder of programme uninstalls. I have even tried the trial version but same result.
I just tried and failed to install Photoshop Elements 11 onto my new IMAC, citing "Minimym Requirements were not met". However, it did not specify what exactly was the problem. How can I find out?
i get this really weird bug when i try to install photoshop cs6  PDapp here [URL]  I tried to remove an old version with Revo uninstaller, and when trying to install that one after, it just did that  Theres the error, in Danish though, but it says:"An error occurred the installationsprogram could not be initialized, Download Adobe support advisor to register the problem"  The problem is, i have downloaded it, but it does not fix it..
I was using the Beta program and, when CS3 full became available, I uninstalled it. Only after I'd uninstalled it and tried installing the full version did I realise I hadn't deactivated the beta.
I received message about Component Install Failed on 2 items (CS3 and Shared Components).
I uninstalled the parts of the full version which were successfully installed (Bridge, Toolkit, Device Central and StockPhotos) and followed the instructions to manually remove CS3 (I also scoured the registry to remove any references to any installed Adobe products, searched my PC for any references to Adobe and ran a few registry scrubbing programs) - I tried to install CS3 full again with the intention of deactivating it then uninstalling it but no success - I received the same errors as before.
I also just ran the new Windows CS3Clean script at Level 2 and it has not resolved the problem.
I've even manually searched for "cache.db" and "caps.db" files as someone in the Labs forum suggested that could be the file which holds the "activate" info for the beta.
I installed what I could of CS3 beta (Bridge, Toolkit, StockPhotos and Device Central) and tried to see if they had the option to "Deactivate" but I couldn't find them - is the "Deactivate" option only available from Photoshop?
unable to install the CS3 full version due to CS3 Beta previous installation and cannot reinstalled CS3 Beta to deactivate because it also detects the CS3 full version installation attempt.
OS:Â Vista Business 64bitVERSION:Â CS3 Web Premium I've tried everything to fix the "Component Install Failed" issue.ran the Windows Installer Clean Upused the clean registry toolran the adobe clean on level 1 and 2deleted all traces of Adobe products and still errors out on install.
I am trying to install the trial version of Photoshop Extended cs3 and every time I try, it will tell me that "Component Install Failed" and have a red x next to Photoshop and/or Shared Components. This is the first Photoshop product that I have tried to put on my computer, and the only other Adobe program we have is Flash MX. I did not install any beta`s and we recently formatted the hard drive, so I`m pretty sure that running the CS3 Script cleaner thing won`t help. I have also tried to install it on my laptop, (Recently formatted as well) and it does the same thing.
I keep getting Errors saying that my component install failed.
Does anyone know how to fix this or have a solution. I really want to get it up and running before my class starts working with it so I know how to do a few things to help my gf
I tried to install the update with Adobe Updater and it failed with error code U44M1P7.I then downloaded the update patcht directly from the site and tried to install. Again error code this time U44M2P7.
I am making a nested family of windows and inserted the windows as shared and I need them as non shared. Is there a way to change the window from shared to non shared in the family editor?
I have installed PS CC without any problem, but when trying to install Lightroom5 on my Mac, I get the following message: Â ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully.
ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg failed with exit code: 1
I just signed up to the PhotoShop & Lightroom Cloud. Photoshop installed OK But Lightroom fails to instal. It give 2 errors:
ERROR: DW006: Apple Package failed to install successfully. ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.pkg failed with exit code: 1 Â I am trying to instal on a Macbook Pro 2010 running OS-X 10.6.8 with 8 GB of RAM and 535 GB of free hard disk space. I have tried the installation process twice to no avail. Currently running version 4.4 of Lightroom without a hitch.
I've shared an album with some friends using Showcase. I now want to add a further recipient who I forgot to put on the original list. There doesn't appear to be a way to do this without starting from scratch. Or am I wrong? (I am using Elements 10)
I have created an album in my Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer. When I view it as a slideshow in the Organizer, I can add the music of my choice from my Itunes library. Â When I try to SHARE my album on line through Photoshop Showcase, I can make a few setting changes (i.e. pan&zoom, different themes....) but cannot seem to change the music track which is always the same. Â The album would be so much more interesting with my own music selection.
Photoshop Elements 9 organizer...when I try to "save as" a .jpg file from editor to the organizer, I keep getting an error "Import Failed" file not supported or file already in organizer...been using this software for a long time..just started to happen...now it says this everytime I try to save anything..it will not let me put it in the organizer at all. What happened?
I'm trying to build my first catalog and keep getting an Import Failed on certain files. These are .jpg images and can be opend outsid eof PSE 12 just fine. I've looked at the image properties and they look fine (just as fine as images that are able to be imported). Is there anything that can be done? I'm trying to move off of Picasa and these images have been imported just fine into Picasa.Â
I have a large image collection, in excess of 40,000. I'm running on a PC with Windows 7 and all updates installed. I just purchased PSE 11 to replace PSE 10. After installing PSE 11 I converted my catalog. That seemed to go OK. At that point I discovered that my C: drive was almost full so I decided to move my image collection from its C: drive location to an external hard drive that had sufficient capacity. In order to ensure the integrity of the catalog I decided that I should use the PSE 11 Organizer to move the files. This would allow the Organizer to update the location information for the files as it moved them, although it was clear that this would take many hours to complete. So, using Organizer I did a "drag and drop" of my image collection's root file from the C: location to the external drive which happened to be the J: drive. Organizer appeared to be running properly so I left it to continue overnight. The next morning I discovered that only about 2/3 of the files had been moved. There was a very cryptic message that said the opertion could not be completed because of "possibly unsupported files types, files with read only attributes.." etc. I did not write down the actual message and it did not tell me where in the transfer the failure occurred. After doing some detective work I discovered that many folders and files had been copied to the J: drive that were not appearing in the Organizer catalog and consequently were not being displayed. Some folders had only a portion of their files copied. Fortunately, the files were still visible and cataloged on the C: drive. I did look at my files on the C: drive and there were some that for what ever reason had read only attributes.  The selected file, files, or folders should be copied to the specified destination. At that point they should be added to the catalog, then the files should be deleted from their original location and the catalog updated accordingly. If an original file is read only then it can't be deleted but the attempt to delete it should be reported as an inability to delete with no consequences imposed on the files that have been placed in their new location. The "problem" should not be promoted to the status of a serious or fatal error that causes only partial completion of the overall operation.
