Apr 21, 2013I recently upgraded to PSE11 but the installation did not create the service Adobe Active File Monitor V11. I followed the forum thread [URL] .... to completely uninstall, remove residual files, reinstall from DVD. Still the service DOES NOT EXIST.
I followed the Elements Village thread on "Watched Folders Issues" to manually create the service. But when I attempt to start it, I get an error that says "Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start of control request in a timely manner."
I'm using WinXP Media Center Ed. SP3.

Photoshop :: CS 6 Fails To Install
May 17, 2012 I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 trial on a Alienware MX17 Windows 7 64bit laptop, and it fails everytime. My videoo drivers are the latest it's possible to get, I also have all the latest windows updates installed. It goes through to the "Currently Installing Adobe Fonts Recommended x64" and hangs there.
It does not quit, the minutes remaining just keeps getting longer and longer. I left it running overnight once just in case is was very slow for some reason, the next morning when I checked it, it was in the same place, same percentage and the time remaining was several weeks. I've tried using the Installer, I've manually downloaded it. Neither work. I've tried with and without Administer rights.
The Adobe Support Assistant does give me the "The computer wants to reboot" error a few times, but there was never a "inprogress" entry in the registry as suggested by[URL]...Here is a link to my latest log file. This is a brand new laptop, the only Adobe products installed are acrobat and reader.p[URL]...

Jul 14, 2008This is on a an Acer Veriton DuoCore with 1 GB RAM.
I've never had PSCS2 or any beta versions.
I ran the CS3CleanUp [level 2] because I failed to install PSCS3 months ago and gave up.
I downloaded a new copy of PSCS3.
Installer runs smoothly but ends up with "some components could not be installed." That component apparently being PSCS3.
I can see that Bridge and Help have been added to my Adobe folder but not Photoshop CS3.

I even downloaded the application manager but now it fails to install saying "remote server not properly placed.Try after a few minutes" Whenever I retry I get the same message. When I try to SHARE my album on line through Photoshop Showcase, I can make a few setting changes (i.e. pan&zoom, different themes....) but cannot seem to change the music track which is always the same.
The album would be so much more interesting with my own music selection.

Feb 25, 2014Photoshop Elements 12 on Windows 7 64bit.
When I try to backup my catalog to DVD it appears like it is working then a box opens with "Elements Organizer" at the top. At the bottom it says, "Disk Creation by Sonic Solutions" and in the middle there it says "Writing Disc" with a progress bar under it. This displays for a while but the progress bar never goes above 0%.
After a while (like 5 minutes) a Windows Error message appears that says "Elements 12 Organizer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
There is no other error information displayed that indicates what the error is however I went to the Windows Event Viewer and found the following Event:

Oct 1, 2012I just upgraded from PSE 7 to PSE 11. Everything seems to have installed and the organiser loads, but I cannot get the editor to load. When selecting editor mode, it attempts to load but then crashes, a window pops up "Adobe photoshop elements 11 has stopped working".
I made a shortcut of the editor to desktop, but it crashes as well. This has happened since install, the editor has never worked.
System: meets all minimum requirments for software to run.
