Photoshop :: Matching Contrast/luminance For Different Pictures
Feb 3, 2006I have a series of grayscale images that I'm trying to adjust so that they all have the same--or at least very similar--contrast, luminance, and brightness. When I try to adjust these things, it's always measured relative to the images's starting state rather than to anything objective.

May 20, 2013I have completed a slide show and added 3 songs. The songs are showing up on the audio bar at the bottom, but when I do full-screen preview there is no audio. My speakers are working fine, i'm able to play songs from other programs. I am working in PS Elements 9 on Windows 7.
And another question, if i want to burn the slide show onto a DVD - what type should I buy?
Photoshop Elements :: Unstack Groups Of Images?
Jul 17, 2013How can I unstack an entire group of images all at once. It's a real pain to do it one at a time especially if you have hundreds. I have some stacked and some unstacked images in a group. If I 'select all' I can't unstack the stacked ones. If I select more than one stacked image I can't unstack both at the same time.

Oct 15, 2009I just discovered survey figure groups and am playing around with them. Great way to bring certain figures in & out. What seems crazy is that I have to check them on/off one at a time. Am I missing something or is this the only way to add figures to a figure group?

Oct 30, 2012I've upgraded from PSE 6 to PSE 11. My people tags have carried over, but are not showing properly in the "People" view.
All my people tags are still present on the pictures and I can search using them by selecting "Advanced Search" in the media view. However, when I go to the People view, the only stacks I see are ones I have created in PSE 11 that were not tagged in my previous version. The names of all my previously tagged people only show when I click to view "Groups". Clicking on the name in "Groups" simply leads to the message "No people exist in this group" - even though the tag clearly shows on the images in the Media view.
Is there any way to convert the people listed as groups back to people tags that will be recognised by PSE? Even when I run the facial recognition software and tag people here, they still do not show up in the People view if they were previously tagged in PSE 6.

Nov 28, 2012Organizer 11 imported my v.9 category and subcategory tags and converted the people-centric ones into stacks within groups. Sub-category tags still appear present appended to images within the stacks in People mode but are not listed and do not seem accessible in Media mode. Is there a way I can assign these "ghost" tags to an image in the same easy drag & drop way as those listed as keywords in media mode (or make them accessible in media mode)?

Feb 8, 2012I've created a small group of concrete reinforcing detail components that have graphic overrides to change solid black to solid grey. When I copy the objects or place new groups made from the objects, the graphic overrides reset to original all black.
Is there anyway to get the graphic overrides, which are embedded in the group, to copy into new intances of the group so that I don't have to "undo group" and apply new graphic overrides?

Sep 12, 2011I just learned (after 16 years...) that it's been possible to drill down through successive compound objects within groups without using the new V7 feature "Edit inside".
I'd always used Ctrl+Click within a group to select the object in it I want, but could never select just a group that was within--only a single object. But apparently Ctrl+Click is only intended to select the bottom-most (leaf) object of the group (tree). If instead you use Ctrl+Alt+Click, you can click through each level of a group.
So for example if you made two groups of 3 objects and then grouped the two groups together, you can select the whole group first, then one of the other groups within, then one of the objects within that group.
I can't believe I didn't know this. Shows what I know. And what amazes me more is that I didn't figure it out given that you can Alt+Click to select through overlapping objects.
Photoshop Elements :: Can Open TIFF Groups Created In Photoshop CC?
Mar 17, 2014A co-worker needs to be able to access certain files that I have created in Photoshop CC. These files are saved as TIFFs, and as part of my workflow, I have just about everything in Groups. She currently has Elements 10 on her system, but that absolutely does not permit access to the Groups and the components within. Because of her job duties, I cannot necessarily justify adding her to the CC account since she does not need PS, AI, ID, or any of the other applications as I do. However, I can easily justify upgrading her to Elements 12...provided it does what we need it to.

I've added the mp3 multiple ways, by using the add media -- audio from element organizer as well as by add media ---audio from file but it won't play
MP3 plays fine when I click on it from the organizer.
I've tested the mp3's that came with elements 11 and they play fine. What's the deal?
