Dec 23, 2013I have a user that is trying to link a MS Word document to a .iam file.
When he attempts to do this Inventor will embed the file instead of linking it.
Is it a config setting?
Here are the steps he is using for this process:
1) Open an assembly into the Inventor workspace.
2) Go to "Manage" tab.
3) Click "Insert Object" link in ribbon.
4) Select "Create from File."
5) Browse for word document.
6) Checkmark "Link" option.
7) Hit "OK."
The result of this sequence of operations produces an "embedded" file, not a linked file.
I can link this file on any other computer except this workstation.

I have used OLE Object in the past and i problem i have is that, I can't rotate OLE object/image i can scale and move. i can't clip OLE obj. For Attach JPEG or PDF when someone accidently delete the JPEG which were attached out of the computer then when i open the file it will show "Not found" on the external Ref. this won't happen in OLE obj. i tried not to use either of these methods above because it increases the size of the dwg but this is how the Co Worker wants for this project. The drawing size is less than 1000KB not too bad.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 :: How To Link JPEG Images
Jun 27, 2012I use corel draw to assemble jpeg images I have exported from another application into a presentation which I then publish to pdf.
My problem is that whenever I update the images I have to re-insert and position/scale each one again in the corel presentation.
I've been trying to work out how to do this with linked files or OLE objects, but without success.
Is there a way to link or embed jpegs so that if I update the original jpeg it will update in corel draw?
I've tried to follow corel help but it doesn't work. Inserting an OLE just puts a box with the jpeg filename on the page, and it prints as just a box with a filename as well.
Edge Animate CC :: Editing Webpage - Embed Elements Into Pre-Existing DIVs?
Nov 6, 2013I created a basic layout with some boxes in Dreamweaver. I set the Overflow property on them to "Hidden". I then opened the page in Edge Animate. However I noticed that when I import stuff, such as an image, then try to drag it into one of the existing DIV's, it won't work. It stays on top of all the other DIV's. However if I create a box or some other sort of DIV directly in Edge Animate, I can drag the Image element into that, so it's enclosed within that DIV.
I guess the workaround appears to be to embed the image into the DIV in Dreamweaver first, then open the page in Edge. However it would be nice to not have to keep jumping back and forth like that. Is there a way to do this in Edge Animate?
Also, I noticed when I select one of the DIVs I made in Dreamweaver, many of the Properties such as Corners, Shadow, and Filters are missing. Can these only be used on DIV's created directly in Edge Animate?
Photoshop :: Any Uninstall Link For CS6 / Elements 7
May 1, 2013I have Elements 7 and PS CS6. I'm getting ready to send my laptop back to HP in a few days to fix some problems and to do a complete reinstall. I want to be able to uninstall both programs before I send it in.
My questions are:
1 - Is there a link to Uninstall CS6?
2 - Is there a link to Uninstall Elements 7? Or could that be done through the Uninstall Program section in my laptop?
Laptop is Pavilion g6, running Windows 7, 4 GBS and 250 GBS HD.

Aug 17, 2013I am unable to link my Epson 3200 photo scanner to PS Elements 11 on my new iMac. I have tried downloading the software from the Epson website, but when I load it the nothing shows up. I moved the the Optional Plug-ins > Import Modules TWAIN plug in to the Plug-ins. That had no affect at Photoshop Elements 11>Support Files>Import.
On my old iMac I could link and download files from the Scanner.

Sep 27, 2012I've worked on a photo that I'd like to save in JPEG format, I've read the replies to previous queries which say to change to 8 bit, when I click on image, 8 bit is greyed out and not accessible. Dec 26, 2011I'm messing around with tables and data links, practicing. I copied a range of cells in Excel, and did paste special to create a linked table.
Now I can delete the table object, but I cannot delete the link, cannot detach it.
When in Data Manager if I right click on the data link and click delete I get the error message "The data link is being used and cannot be deleted".
I have tried detaching, and the detach does not seem to take.
Now also, the table will not update from the source xls.
Win XP, AcadLT 2011, Office 2010. Using compatible setting for saving spreadsheet, for Office 2007 (not xlsx).
If I create a linked table by starting with the Table icon, choose "from a data link", choose the excel spreadsheet, etc., then I am able to later update the table from the spreadsheet, detach, delete the link, etc. But I can only delete the link if the table is not selected when I open the Data Link Manager.
But the one that was created following the directions from the Autocad video, with the copy, paste special, that link will not detach nor delete.
