Aug 30, 2013I often do website images for developers. The problem i am having is matching the web color from a color pick in ps. I have used a method where s i take a screen shot on my MAC and then pull that into PS cs5 (I have cs6 also) and pick. Then i export for web (png or jpeg).
This method gets me inconsistent results.

Nov 5, 2012When I go to pick a color in Photoshop CS6 I receive an error message saying that "Could not complete request because of program error"! Why did this happen now when I've been using photoshop for months? I've not added any plug ins recently... All worked fine with all plug ins installed for months.

GIMP :: Color Pick Tool Broken On OSX?
Nov 11, 2013I'm running GIMP 2.8.4 on a new Macbook Pro (only 4 months old, that's new in Mac years) running Mavericks.
When I click the eyedropper to sample a color from an image already in GIMP, the whole 'Change Foreground Color' or 'Change Background Color' window just freezes. I neither get the little floating eyedrop curser nor can I even close the box for a couple of minutes. It eventually lets me close it, but only after some time has elapsed, not because I've done anything that I can determine. Needless to say, I never get to actually sample a color

Apr 2, 2013I making a bling picture on a web site. Im seeing my pic on paint in pixel mode. What i want to do is see all like colors so i can pic them to put in my web bling. That way i dont have to pic one color at a time to transfer. Does this make sense?

Feb 28, 2013I have been scrolling through this forum and google, and have not found an answer.My Illustrator CS5 has been working all day, and I went away from it momentarily to pack some boxes for moving and the eye dropper tool started picking up colors that didn't exist in the placed image i'm grabbing from.(clearly not black within that circle...)
I "found" a solution on this site where you go into your eyedropper options and make sure your appearance boxes are checked, and they weren't so I did that, and now the eyedropper tool won't pick up any color at all. I have a project deadlines that require this program, and i've tried just about everything but re-installing.

Nov 15, 2013How do I use eyedropper to pick up a gradient color? I have a color that has 45% opacity on it and I want the exact code of that color. If I use eyepicker, it will only pick up the original color (with 100% gradient). I tried using colourificator. Illustrator picked up that color but when I applied it to the object, it became a different color.
Is there any other way to pick up the exact code of colors that has an opacity? If I am to find the color that has an opacity manually, how would I find it in the color picker?
Below is an example:
1) First circle does not have an opacity.2) Second circle has a 45% opacity on the stroke, and I tried using colouricator to pick up the color3) Colourifator picked up the same color, but when I applied to the third circle, the colour is off.

May 4, 2009I'm trying to pick up color from an image using the eyedropper tool. But it only will pick up white as a color and fill the other object with white, and not the actual pixel color I am trying to grab. This doesn't always happen but I can't figure out why it is happening in this instance.

Sep 14, 2012Photoshop CS5 - Working with the pen tool is something I do a lot but it is such a pain because I can barely make the lines out sometimes. It can get so bad that my eyes hurt. I found, adding an adjustment layer and changing the level. This kind of works but I find it difficult to believe that they can't be made more visable. Turning off the anti-aliasing hasn't seemed to have made any difference either.
Is CS6 any better?

When we xref them in, the point markers (only the circular node on the actual point, not the line coming off of it) take on the color of whatever the current layer is in the drawing, only fixable by changing the current letter and regenerating.

Every time I end up with either retracing the outlines or create another sketch on top of the complete extrusion and then subtract.

Jan 20, 2011Running 2011 Inventor. Interferences are very difficult to spot on large assemblies, especially if they are small. The red color seems to be way lighter compared to the previous versions of Inventor. Are there any settings to turn on that can bolden the color?

The problem:In PSE 10, when using the Eyedropper Tool or clicking on the Foreground Color or the Background Color, the Microsoft Microsoft "Color Dialogue Box" pops up instead of the "Adobe Color Picker" dialogue box. This started about a month ago. I use Windows 7.
I want the "Adobe Color Picker" to pop up (like it used to) inside PSE 10.

Oct 8, 2013I am taking pictures of art and would like to correct the photos so that the colors are accurate. Need to use some kind of color swatch in each picture? I would like to include the color swatch strip in the edge of each picture so that I can correct the colors more easily and then crop the color swatch out. What kind of colors do I need in the color swatch? Also, would it be useful to have black/white/50% grey in the strip to work with leveling? I am going to correct the leveling and try to remove the color cast.
I also have to photograph things which are very shiny (e.g. coated in shellac). How to use an external flash to minimize flash glare?

Sep 30, 2011I have programmatically created a block, which resembles the protective tube schematically drawn. The block consists of two ellipses of connected the two lines. This block tries to modify (also programmable). The modification consists of changing the position of the ellipse and the length of the line. Everything (almost) goes smoothly, until the pipe extends beyond its original length. The changes are visible, but I'm not able to pick the block beyond its original contour. So I can pick out such lines, if picked point is on the original length, but beyond its original length is not already. The same applies to the ellipse. The situation returned to normal, if I tried stretch the block (base point) or command _move. Regeneration of the model does not work.

AutoCad :: Crosshairs And Pick Pox Have Disappeared
Jan 4, 2012I was drafting away, and all of a sudden my crosshairs and pickbox disappeared. Once I move the mouse there's nothing in my drawing plane. I can type commands, and when I move the mouse up to the menu area I can pull down menus. I've opened up other drawings and the crosshairs and pick box are there.
What can I do to resolve this? Of course it happens during a deadline.

Mar 16, 2012In selecting a point in a drawing to connect new poly lines to existing objects, is there a way to set the order to which osnap elements are used?I have perhaps 1/2 of the osnap element settings activated. End point, Mid point, Node, Intersection, etc.
When I go to select, it's like everything EXCEPT End Point is recognizing. And while I can go to right click, and select end point, I am now wondering, if besides the rt click, there is a way to preset the priority, or order in which the osnap elements recognize the type.Without resetting the settings each time.

May 17, 2012I'm writing a program (C#) that automates the notch tool within the frame generator add-in in Inventor. I can select one part and then select multiple other parts that will notch to the first selected part automatically. This will save me a TON of time if I get it working correctly. With that being said, I have it to the the point where the user selects the first part and then window multiple parts (these are stored and then cycled through later), then I use SendKeys to open the "Notch Tool", and now this is where I encounter my problem.
The Notch Tool is waiting for the user to Pick/Select one part. In my code I've tried to use the CommandManager.DoSelect method which does not register with the tool (I'll exit out of the tool and the part will be selected). My thinking is that this notch tool will only accept the CommandManager.Pick method which would defeat the purpose of the program as I do not want the user to have to go through the parts one by one notching them together.
Is there a way to simulate a mouse click on a selected occurrence within Inventor? Is there another approach I should be considering? And finally, how to rewrite the actual notch tool to allow multiple notches to be done at once?! I'll post a snippet of my code.
