How do I see the object selected change colour dynamically as I adjust the colour sliders?
It seems the object only changes colour when I release the slider. But I want to see it dynamically change, so I can find the colour that works best without "hit or miss" - "trial and error" behaviour.
Yes... I'm aware some of you spend hours in colour programs creating a palette to work with. Good for you.
I'm just wanting to do it LIVE. Dynamically. In 2013. In Illustrator.
I have some really nice photos of flowers and I'd like to try and achieve images like these - any tips? I've tried brushing 10% opaque around the edges but that looks naff ..

View 1 Replies View RelatedIve got around 100 images (all different) of white shoes.
For each image I have to change the shoes to 35 different colours.
I am going to do this by opening the image, selecting the area of the shoe, copying to a new layer, setting mode to colour and brushing in the colour.
Each image needs to be in the same 35 colours.
Now I could do this all manually but it will take an ages. Given it is the same 35 colours for each image needed is there an easier way, maybe an action, so that i can open the image select the area i need changing and the click and it saves the image in the 35 colours?
I've scanned in a copy of my signature, dragged & dropped it from MS Word into Photoshop CS2.
BUT... I want to change its colour from black to a specific pantone colour for a sales letter I'm writing (0c1c8c)...
Would someone be so kind as to advise me on how to do this please, as everything I seem to try just isn't working.
How would I go about changing the blue domiated colours to more of a grey and red on this photo? Keeping in mind the hair and the blue shimmer.

I have tried various filters etc etc to change the colour, however it seems to change the colour but some areas just go dark. What is the best way to achieve this affect and how do I do it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have line art on a transparent layer. That is, it's not part of a white layer, but just black on nothing. I want to easily change that to a colour without changing the quality of the line. I know I can put a screen layer above it with a colour and that makes the black coloured, but it only shows up if I flatten it on to white. Otherwise, that's exactly the look I want, just not on a flattened white layer. I need to keep the line on the transparent layer so that I can paint under it, so I can't flatten it on to white. I also don't want to select the line and fill it as that significantly changes the quality of the line. I just want to change the colour of the line without chaning it's density, or any pixels.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change the colour of a selection of an image - in this case a mug. So obviously, I want the mug and the mug only to change colour (and not the area inside the handle).
The mug is white meaning I cannot adjust the hue/saturation.
I recently turned down a job (foolish I know) because I didnt have a clue how to go about doing it.
I was asked by a shoe company if I was able to photoshop a load of images of white wedding shoes and change each one into the 35 colours they offer.
Attached is the sample they sent me which I've cobbled together showing one of the colours they do (green) and one of the white shoes that would need changing.
Now while Im not a photoshop pro, I have the basic grasp of selecting objects using the quick selection tool etc.
The two burning questions for me would be:
1) once I've selected the area of the shoe that needs changing, how to change the colour. I know I could "paint" the shoe with a colour and set it to say 50% transparent so you can see see the shadow etc but how do you change it and keep all of the shading etc?
2) The reflection - this seems a near impossible task. How to select just the bits needed?!
From my original picture, I have selected an area (which took about 1/2 hour to carefully select!) and have cut it out into a new layer. What I now want to do is save the file in this state, so that I can repeatedly change the colour of the selection to different colours, at different times, as I find new colours to use!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI drew up a circle with no fill inside, to show where the location of my highway storm culvert will be.
I changed the thickness of the outer line of my circle shape by creating a stroke effect at layer → blending options → stroke; then I changed the thickness of the line by right clicking in stroke at the layers panel and then choosing "scale effect."
But the problem I have is that the outer line is gray, and I want it to be black.
The outer line was originally red though so I changed my image → mode to grayscale, because I couldn't find a way to change the colour while keeping my image in RGB colour. So I've managed to make the outer line gray by changing the image mode but I still can't change the colour of the outer line to black.
I'm sure there must be other ways of changing the outer line colour without having to change the image mode.
The text next to the circle says «Obra de desagüe». That's spanish for "drainage construction site."
You see, I can't change the colour because I have no clue at where the "change colour option" is. I tried going to layer → layer properties, but in there there's only 7 colours to choose from. I chose a random colour, just to see what happens and what truly changed colour was the layer, within the layers panel; not the shape contained within the layer.
on the new keypad that comes with the newiMac (27", 3.5ghz, i7) Fn1 and 2 are set to brighten or darken the screen, but I have checked the preference box to stop this i.e. to use the Fn keys as normal rather as assigned by Apple.
Oddly my other Fn assignations work fine but fn 1+2 brighten or darken the photoshop colour theme and I can't find anywhere where it is set to do that , so can't stop itwhich is very annoying as usually I have well learned and often used actions assigned to those keys.

I cannot change printer profiles in Colour Management on PSE10. Whenever I try to do this it looks like I have changed it, and click OK...but when I check back it has actually not taken effect and has defaulted back to the original stored profile. Consequently I cannot use different paper types now. This has only just started happening and was ok before. I am using Mac OS 10.7.5 along with an Epson R3000.
