View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got this image that i've taken with my cell phone.
I know it's difficult to improve, however i've noticed that there is a patten to the noise.
I am trying to modify a set of icons for the status bar of my cell phone. I have tried Paint.net (recommended by many themers) but the color never looks right. I can colorize the icons individually but that will take a long time to do all 71 icons. I tried using a macro to run Gimp and repeat the task on a loop but the "Export Image as PNG" dialog box keeps opening under the stack of Gimp windows and messes the macro up.
Is there any way to change the color of multiple .png files as a batch operation?
I am looking for a way to customize the dimensions of Autocad Tables to that I can have custom cell height and width.
How to do this?

I am considering a MBP for all my photoshop work. Currently using Photoshop CS6
From 2007-2010 I had my old MBP (late 2006 model). Then in 2011 I was using the 2011 iMac, 2.5ghz, 4gb ram. I sold the iMac as I felt more comfortble with the laptop in terms of working anywhere and anytime. Also for some reason I just strangly enough found the iMac a bit sluggish compared to the smooth performance I had with my old MBP. I mean the iMac is fast, way faster than my old MBP, However I do think that it may have been due to the wireless Bluetooth mouse that I was using.
I run psd files that have a large number of layers and can reach a size of 3-4gb per file while processing and when saved and closed upto 2gb. I rarely use filters, but when i do, its mainly the blur filters and then sometimes the others.
15"
I am considering the 15" MBP base model but bump up the RAM to 8gb... I wish it were more than 8 though... and getting a SSD drive of 128gb... too expensive other wise and this is enough for my work files as I have 2 additional backups on external HDs.and VRam of 512gb with an anti glare display.
13"
I like the size & portability of the 13", but the lack of a dedicated VRAM is putting me off. I could always get an external display later if the need be, however what about VRAM... its shared right? How will that affect CS6 performance?
I would like to really bump up the RAM but the only option i have is 8gb. Also I hope to use this system for another 3-4 years alteast if it does not have any other issues.
How can I find the specs (time photo was taken, etc.) of a photo in CS6?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently running a quad-care, 4 gigs, with a nvidia 8800gts 640mb graphics card machine and using photoshop cs4 extended with windows xp 32 bit os.
While photoshop cs4 is fairly fast and responsive, I would like to have it even quicker.
My question is, what would make this happen?
Naturally a faster processor (i7 intel) would assist in this, but I rather not go that route. I would rather go to a 64bit OS and add additional 4 gigs of ram (total of 8). What would your suggestions be?
Add the additional 4 gigs of ram and go to 64-bit xp? 64 bit vista?
Build a new machine with i7 quad cpus, 16 gigs of ram and 64 bit os?
Simply use what I got because there will not be much of an improvement?
I would like to have it run faster without a great deal of reworking the system. Clearly what I am running now is pretty darn fast even though it is a year old since I built it.
I don't see a section for CS3, so I will post here.
As far as I am concerned I have been hammered for $2,400 for a crap program.
I would like to be proven wrong.
Perhaps there is something I can do to stop the continual freezes, crashes, inconsistancies that occur in every program in the CS3 Suite.
As this is the Photoshop section, I will stick to one major problem that discourages me from even opening anything on it:
It takes ages to open a simple 400x600 jpeg file.
Here's my specs:
-Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600)
-3072 RAM
-2 Harddrives with over 300 gigs each (I'm only using one at the moment)
-NVIDIA Geforce 8500 GT Graphics Card
-Vista Home Edition
I am at the end of my rope here.
I'm considering backing up all the files (a 40 minute movie I've hair-pullingly, finally copied to DVD *couldn't use After Effects at all**the Interviews section wouldn't accept .gif images over the video**etc, etc.)and reformating the PC and installing XP.
Is this my only option, or is it Vista at all?
And I don't want to hear 'it works fine for me' or get some obscure link to some page with 100 FAQ that I'm expected to sort through.
Holy Jesus, twenty four hundred dollars for the privilage of re-visiting the '90s UI experience. woopie.
If you've ever felt my pain, and can help, I would be most appreciative.
I'm hoping it's a typical PEBKAC situation that can remedied by changing my Graphics Card or something.
I have some 3x5 glossy photos taken from about ten years ago. They are no longer in the best condition, and have dust specs and superficial scratches on them. Recently, I decided to scan them and was less-than-happy with the result.
For example, one of the photo's is of me and my friend against a blue-ish wall behind us. The entire scanned image, though, is covered in little white specs. I have black hair, but it looks almost as if i have dandruff lol. even the blue background has a bunch of little white speckles
I was wondering if there was a tool or filter or other way to remove some of the small white specs from the picture.
I used it back in college a few years ago so I have some little experience. Not a lot since all we did there was just very basic 2D stuff in R14.
I was wondering if it's possible to have the complete design of a machine in Autocad? What I mean is: design every part to the correct scale, and then generate "views" for each part as needed (with measurements, projections, sections), in different sheets. Maybe even mount the machine fully and explode it.
I've seen the Sheet Sets, Flatshot and Sectionplane commands but I'm not sure how to use them.
New "ad server" system I wil be using soon..
1.Spec preference is for 25Mbps .Is that achieved via Target Bit rate or Maximum Bit rate in the AME export settings?
2. Spec preference is 50i Upper field dominant.AME does not have that option. Is 25 Progressive effectively the same?
3. Spec preference is 4:2:2 (MPEG-2)No option in AME for that... so what does one do?
4. Any other MPEG 2 settings GOP N /M frames etc...for best results?
will be doing a workflow and pipeline test with faciilty. Just wanted a starting point.
I am trying to resize a logo so that it looks crisp and sharp on Facebook and on mobile devices, but I'm having trouble. My file is a .png file and is 72 dpi (resized for web and devices in photoshop). It is 400x400 pixels.
I use [URL]... (similar to tweetdeck or hootsuite) to send posts to Facebook and Twitter. The image looks good on screen when I look at facebook, but not when you look at it on a mobile phone.
I was wondering how do you take the camera phone effect on a picture. I've tried many times but it would come out really burnt looking or too bright and you can still see the little dots that the camera phone leaves. Anyone know how?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to import pictures from my Samsung Galaxy S III into Elements 10 (Windows 64) using a micro to USB cable.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust installed elements 12 (on windows 8), built a catalog but can't load jpg files taken on an LG phone. The pictures load into picture viewer and into elements editor (at which point they are then in the catalog), but I can't import directly.
nothing was imported, the file or folders selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this catalog.
the files are jpg and they are not in the catalog.
Ive noticed (scanning the forum) that other people have had issues with LG phones in previous versions of elements
I have a copy of an old plan showing curved boundaries which I wish to recreate in C3D. There's lots of connecting arcs, all of which are annotated like:
RAD 15
CHORD 21.213
121°22'15"
ARC 23.56
T.L. 15
I can see that the first line is the radius, the 2nd and 3rd lines are the length and orientation of the arc chord, the 4th line is the arc length. I've been able to get a correct result by firstly drawing the chords, then adding arcs with the appropriate radii between the two ends of each chord. However, I'm sure there's a quicker and easier way. Sometimes the arcs are separated by short sections of straight line which have length and bearing details as well.
Attached is a screen shot of a short length.

Ive got this so far, although the black border is thicker round the edges and top..But Ive after something like this..I'm after the effect of the border, doesn't have to be as good, maybe just some lighting on one side. Also the button and glare on the screen, albeit a bit slimmer.

Does anyone know how I can enlarge it in photoshop and keep it looking sharp?
View 3 Replies View RelatedNot really a PS topic but still kinda is as i'll be using it to create these images.
I will be creating a few images for the use of wallpaper where users can download them off my site for use as there wallpaper.
Currently I have:
1920x1200
1680x1050
1280x1024
800x600
I've been using this as my desktop background for a few months now but I just noticed that I have no clue how I would acheive this effect. The effect I'm talking about is the red burst in the center. I know how the lettering and the symbol in the center was done but I'm not sure how to do that burst that looks so cool.
