I have ps 7 with image ready. Whenever I try to open a file in image ready I get the following error message.
"Could not complete this operation becuase an assertion has failed."
If I open the file in PS first and then switch to Image ready it will work but then I egt the same error message when trying to save it.
I have re-installed ps but still no luck.

I've done this before but quite awhile ago and my memory is not helping me. When I open the gif file in Image Ready it only shows one frame instead of a stack of frames.
I have CS2.I have created a series of layers that I would like to animate. At this point all of these layers are in the form of a psd file within CS2. How can I open this psd file in ImageReady and have access to all of the layers.
When I try it now, I end up only seeing one layer in ImageReady.
Can anyone tell me what color settings I need to set in photoshop in order to avoid this from happening? It only happens once in a while and I don't know what I've done to fix it or screw it up. What happens is that when I'm in photoshop and I do a "save for web" my document jumps to image ready and when viewing '2 up' for optimization purposes and comparison, I realize that the original view is actually duller in color and does not look like the original in photoshop. The blacks are definitely not as black.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a student version of Maya 2012 on my home computer so I didn’t have to work from college for a project, but I have run into some issues.
Not sure what is going on with my Maya but it won't open files unless I actually go to it in the browser and double click on the file. Even once I have done that I can only save over it, save as doesn't work. I also can't create or set projects. There are probably more problems but these are the ones I noticed/really need.
This is what appears in my output window:

So, Photoshop CC was working perfectly for me, up until about 3 or 4 weeks ago, when it randomly stopped letting me open up PNG files. I've been converting them in CS6 as a workaround (CS6 still functions properly), but it's getting pretty annoying...
I've also noticed that PS CC will only let me save in something like 12 or 13 different file formats; CS6 gives me close to double the file format options. CC is missing BMP, IFF, JPEG 2000, PCS, TARGA, and several other formats (not that I work with most of those, mind you, but it is a little strange that they've all just vanished...).
What's the scoop? why it would have just randomly stopped working? Maybe broken by a CC update...?
I'm running both CC and CS6 on OSX 10.7.5. CS6 has the Magic Bullet Photolooks 3rd party plugin installed, but CC doesn't have any 3rd party plugins.
I started a project in CS5, saved it, left it open, then opened the same file in CS6. Then I started steadily working on the file in CS6 for about 20 minutes. I saved frequently while working in CS6. Then Photoshop crashed, I believe because I had several smart objects open at once. However, when I checked the file I had been saving, it was still in an identical state to when I stopped working on it in CS5. Not only that, but the "recovered file" was about 10 minutes behind in CS6.

View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently my photoshop CS5 has been playing up and often when I try to save files it will freeze at the point of clicking ok and crash. Today also it crashed when I tried to open a photoshop file.This is incredibly frustrating as I'm a graphic designer and trying to complete some urgent work but I'm getting nowhere because nothing I'm doing is saving and I have to keep starting over. It's literally crashed about 40 times the past day and I'm wasting so many hours that I just don't have.
My version as mentioned is CS5 and I updated it yesterday with no avail.

I don't think I've done anything for this to start happening it just came out of nowhere..I usually only do the same few things with the program and also havn't altered files or even the computer.
I've heard a rumor that I can select an area of an image and make it into a link. I've tried to to select an area with the marquee tool and then I click on the little orange feather in the lower right of the tool box. I've tried to paste my desired URL into the web link field but I can never get it to work. Can this really be done? How does an image with a link get saved? Jpeg?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 8 core 2.8 GHz Mac Pro has 10 GB RAM and a blank 100 GB scratch disk. Photoshop is always quick. Has been for years. Suddenly today, Photoshop is slow like molasses to open & save files. Lots of progress bars and wait cursors. Everything else on the Mac is fine. It boots quickly & normally, and other apps are happy. My boot drive, a clean installed Mountain Lion system, says S.M.A.R.T. Status: Verified. In Activity Monitor, a process with ID # 0, Kernel Task, was using 700 to 800 MB RAM, while another process, mds, with ID # 44, is using 350 MB RAM.
I should add that I booted from a backup system and its copy of Photoshop was also doing the same thing. In addition, a high level troubleshooter on Apple Discussions informed me that my present level of 500 MB RAM for Kernel Task is normal. So all I know is Photoshop is suddenly slow.
After using for a few weeks, I have had a few crashes, but this morning, I could not save a photo "Due to program Error" (no codes etc). Closing out that file and losing the edits, but now I cannot open any new file? Again "due to program Error". Working on Christmas cards and gifts. Running Macbook Pro with ample disk space and hard drive availibitly.

Normally, when I collect a bug somewhere and Photoshop starts getting glitchy I just reinstall it, but that doesn't work. I really need to use Image Ready!
I am using a PC with Wxp pro (service pack 2+), and Photoshop 7.0.
Just started usin it. Its not being very useful because of one thing.. How do you make it so that when you duplicate a frame, then go to edit the first one, whatever changes are made to the first frame don't go to the 2nd? don't really no how better to say it.

I create what I want using the first image and when I select the second image it starts a new animation. I am trying to create an animation using 9 images that will dissolve from one to the other.
As a follow up, I found a tutorial that says open 2 photos in PS and drag one onto the other to form 2 layers each with a different photo. When I go to drag the one onto the other it makes the photo I'm dragging the active one. How do I open 2 photos, or more?
in slicing using Image Ready, i cab get the optmization done perfectly, but when i open it using FrontPage and try to edit the " empty space " -which is in the middle - in my case, i got all the images on the sides falling apart !!

When the mouse is moved over the link I get image boxes opening above and below the link but with no image in them. I have also noticed that Image ready has imported many of the graphics files with names such as Index_7-Index_14_over.gif so the file is not only the slice for Index 7 but the over gif as well. View 6 Replies View RelatedI've almost never used Image Ready so I'm pretty much lost at sea here. I've read the help files but can't find my problem addressed. I have two images, each in a layer, and I want to fade from one to the other and back again.
In Image Ready I created frames from layers, then duped frame #1 to frame#3. Then I tweened the transitions frames. Looks great in the animation palette. Looks good when I play the animation in Image Ready.
When I export to SWF format and play the file in my browser, the initial image and final image are good, but the middle image has gone almost entirely dark. I can see just enough of the outlines to know it's the correct image, but have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
