View 6 RepliesWhen importing something off of a DVD or CD how do I direct Lightroom to copy the imported images or folder to a specific folder on my hard drive? It seems to default to MyCatalog but leaves the location on the CD rather than copying it to the drive. If I remove the CD the images is reported as missing.
When I go to the top of the screen for importing I can change the source but the location info on the right is not active or changeable.I am new to lightroom and coming from Photoshop Elements background.
My Photoshop CC is missing the plug in folder
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running PS CS55.1 on Windows 7. I thought I was running in 64bit mode, but when PS starts up, it says Versiion 12.1 x32.I downloaded the plug in, but it's not showing up.
In my C folder, there's Program Files >... >Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64), and there's Program Files (x86) > ... > Adobe Photoshop CS5.1. I went into both, and put in the plug-in and the preset (layouts). I shut down PS and opened it up, and no Contact Sheet II.
Is there a plugin in existance, that I can make a selection in Photoshop and then copy the coordinates of that selection to the clipboard?
I am a texture artist and frequently lay a number of graphics out in one file, before typing out the coordinates for each element. Currently this is slow manual task, but could be made so much faster if I didn't have to type everything out.
Used ACR to crop, straighten, adjust exposure, etc to a bunch of files. Used the File/Copy to command to extract images to new folder. To my surprise, the files were not cropped, straightened, etc in the destination folder. I know in ACR that "open image" will open the image in PS with all the changes but how can a bunch of files (including ACR changes) be copied to another folder?
Here is what I'm trying to do.
1. Let Bridge get jpg files from camera.
2. In Bridge, open files one by one in ACR, make adjustments (straighten, exposure, etc), and click "done" to save changes in same folder.
3. Once all files have been adjusted, copy files (tried using "copy to" in Bridge) to new destination folder.
4. Use PS batch command to run an Action to cropped photo to 600x900 (or 900x600) 72 pixels and sharpen photo. Do this for each source file and save to a new destination folder.
I'm okay with steps #1-2 but stuck on #3 as described above.

-- I can write without problems Action for each special folder, but it take too many time to make 1000 Actions like 1000 folders I have. The problem is in SAVE AS command wich I use in Action. It remembers folder witch was used while recording. Then if I try "Override SAVE AS" option in the Batch window I get edited original files without creatig copies.
I can choose destination NONE, SAVE AND CLOSE, FOLDER. Simply, what I need is SAVE AS COPY AND CLOSE.

How to copy an IAM & several parts to another folder (I created a new project folder for them) using DA without messing up the original file structure. I'd like to change the new IAM file name & only several of the parts that are not common to the original (Stand alone environment, no network).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI often want to copy a design (assembly plus used parts) to some other folder as a quick start for some derived work. I want to be able to work on this copy without influencing the original and visa versa.
The problem is when copying with the windows copy command, the references to the parts point to the original folder. I read that you can use the Copy feature of the Vault for this. But I'm not using the Vault and don't want to.
Pack and Go is also not a good solution because it copies a lot of other stuff and makes a new project file. How can I do this. It seems so a simple operation. But I can not figure out how to do that!
Can I copy and past an assembley file to another folder in my system,as like as packandgo using inventor api ?

Before i import from my SD card into lightroom I create 2 named folders - one on my hard drive and another for back up on my external hd.In LR inport dialogue box I choose the hard drive folder as my main destination and select my ext hard drive folder as my make second copy to folder
I untick the make a second copy to box.I choose Copy and click import..All images are copied OK but only the hard drive folder shows up in the folders display area under library even though the back up copy shows in the ext hard drive folder.
Is it possible to get both folders to show in the display?
I had copied a .PNG file into the source folder and wanted to import it into the Lightroom catalog.
However the import dialog does not show that file in the source folder at all.
I also tried the method of selecting the source folder and using the "Synchronize" option. But that did not show the .PNG file either.
My clumsy work-around was to open the file in CS6 and save it as a .JPG file.
So my question: how can I tell Lightroom which file types (extensions) I want to be able to import?
I have a bunch of Fuji X-T1 raw images that I have converted to DNG form. Once Lightroom supports X-T1 raw images directly, I would like to replace the DNG files by the corresponding raw files (which I have saved) without having to redo all of my edits.
I've tried an experiment with a NEF file, which Lightroom supports: If I convert it to a DNG file, import the DNG file, then replace the DNG file with the corresponding NEF file, Lightroom still thinks the file is named DNG. This behavior makes me nervous. So what I would like to do is to import all of the Fuji raw files, then transfer the develop settings from each DNG file to the corresponding raw file, then finally archive and delete the DNG files.
Is there any way to do this other than by hand? That is, if I have a folder with a few hundred DNG files, is there any way to tell Lightroom to take the develop settings of every file in the folder and transfer them to the correspondingly named file in the folder of raw files?
way of accomplishing this that does not involve copying and pasting the data for every image by hand?
I created a folder on my flash drive. I'm trying to use Batch Process to copy the files to the drive. I'm not adding a script. The name of the new folder comes up in the dialogue box, but when I click on the start button I get a notice that the file already exits and do I want to overwrite it. I click on yes. All the photos are then copied, but when I go to the new folder in my flash drive it's empty.
I'm following the instructions in Diane Koers book on PSP X4.
Also, I can't seem to use Batch Process to save my JPEGs and TIFFs. Is it possible to do this.
I have a keyboard shortcut for Copy (see directly below). This command doesn't copy multiple. But if I type "Copy" at the comment prompt (AutoCAD 2013) the copy multiple is the default. Copymode is already set to "0".

I was in the process of moving a folder inside or LR. I might have clicked and moved it twice since it was very slow. LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. I did a spotlight search on my mac, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere. Where has my folder/images gone? I tried to locate them without any success.
