Photoshop CS 5.1 only prints in black and white. It is not a new printer (Kodak) and I have printed in color in Photoshop in the past. All other applications will print in color. Have removed the settings folder, but that did not do anything.

I also noticed all of my other prints to pdf were 72 dpi, suddenly this one is 121 PPI. The PDF is black and white, although the original document is full color, and it has the moire pattern of a scan taken at the wrong resolution, a pattern of little squares all over.

On Sunday I noticed a small hairline from the negative, cloned it out and reprinted. The image had acquired a distinct purple cast. All attempts ticking a variety of appropriate (and possibly inappropriate) boxes in PS and the printer options failed to remove the cast. Rescanning and the cast is still there. Printing on another printer (HP) and the cast is there, so I presume it's source is Photoshop (CS).

Every PDF I save from Photoshop is like this now, filters or no.
What the heck happened? How can I get my pdfs back?
I have many black and white antique prints which I want to colour in photoshop. They are scanned in colour because the paper is old and actually cream and black and white scans of very old paper come out a nasty, dead grey. (Not at all like crisp modern black and white graphics. The etching process of the original means that they are very, very finely detailed.
So far I have been cleaning up the image and then colouring over the top of the black lines. The disadvantage of this is that I lose the sharp blacks. I then go over the important bits with the eraser tool to get the black back but it is very tedious and much is lost. know about opacity and build the colour in opaque layers, and I know the tools to enhance the dark areas such as the dodge tool but these slightly alter the colour and dont restore the blacks lines.
QUESTION: Is there a way to colour in a print and then key out the negative space (white but really cream)and place the cleaned up original black image over the top of the coloured image? This way all the black shading detail would be fresh and clear and the colour will show through.
I'm trying to print a document that has colour in it and when it comes out of the printer it prints in black and white. I'm not sure what the issue is or what I am missing.
My printer is Canon iR-ADV C5030/5035 UFR II.
How to change black and white hand-prints into color for some art work for my kids. I am already able to switch between black and white between the foreground and background, but not able to change all of the black "color" to a different color including all the minor lines on the hand and foot prints.

So that when I place the final psd on top of a block of solid colour in Indesign the gradient shows the background colour through where the black fades off.

I must have done something because the clouds that are rendered are black & white not Blue and white. My photo is of course a color image. The printer is a HP laserjet 3800dn the driver for the printer is PCL5 but it does the same thing printing with the Postscript driver. We have a navy blue color that prints out black for some reason. In the print options right before releasing the job we changed the use Illustrator colors to use Post script colors and it still does the same thing....Prints black where blue is supposed to go on the document. Doesn't matter if it is a .jpeg or plain text. Sending the job to a different printer works which is a Xerox work centre.

Example:
white block with black lines so you can see it is 3d.background should also be white.
How do i set autocad (2012/2013) to do this. I would like the model space to be the same and not just for printing.
Because of the problems with wipeouts, I have switched to using some solid hatch set to colour 255. The hatch is in paperspace, sitting under titleblock and other Layout text. I am plotting to an HP1050C, using a .ctb file with 255 set with grayscale off.
The plot preview is fine, but the hatch blocks come out black on paper. I thought this was the problem with wipeouts, and that hatch didn't suffer from it.

Basically a CAD program I use only exports PNG files. The CAD program can export in black and white and in color. The color PNG files open fine in CorelDraw. The black and white PNG files just show up as a black filled box.

I have an image where i chopped seperate parts of different pictures, desaturated all 4, but on the one, there seems to be more "grays" in the black and white photo... i want the grays to be more black. Messing with the brightness and contrast isnt doing it...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue. I'm running Vista 64 and and Photoshop CS3. Using my B8850, when I try to make 4x6 prints in Photoshop, they print out black and yellow. I installed Photoshop CS2 and they same thing happened. This only occurs with this one size. Is this a common issue?
I have reinstalled drivers, I have the sizes correct, and color management is in Photoshop only. HP support keeps giving the runaround, and I found out I can print 4x6s using the Windows Picture viewer perfectly, so it's not just the printer.

I can easily change the background color itself, but I can't seem to make the image look as smooth is it does in it's current state.
it dosent look like ordinary black and white, and apparently the models hair was brown, so the effect wasnt created by mearly turning down the saturation and up the brightness. I also know that the effect wasnt created using makeup, it was soley Photoshop, I've seen this type of 'white' before but I cannot work out how it is done.

Ofcourse it's not so hard to remove all the color of a picture, but then it would be a black/white/grey picture, and duotone, which does actually what I want, isn't a great help either, because there's almost no way of telling what the original picture looked like.

Before long I was up to 100 pages, looking fantastic. But then the thought come to me, I have set may page colour to BLACK and all my drawing and text are WHITE as I said looks fantastic until you go to print a page. How much black Ink would you use printing 100 pages black.
SO MY QUESTION IS CAN COREL REVERSE THE LINE ART TO BLACK AND THE PAGE TO WHITE SO I CAN HAVE A PRINTABLE VERSION ?
I have tried publishing to PDF then in acrobat replacing document colours and on screen that works fine but when you print it still prints
With the black background and white text for some reason.
It never let's me use it like it's broken or something, I don't know why and I need it right now
