I have some plans that have been been scanned. There is distortion either in the original or in the scanning.

The plans have reference grids that are
1. Not perpendicular; and
2. Not evenly spaced

Is there an easy way to correct?
I'm creating a window family by modifying a pre-existing one. One of the things I need to do is to move the reference planes defining the "left" and "right" edges of the window opening, so as to make to opening wider, but I'm not allowed to do it. The reference planes always move together, so that I'm stuck with a 3'-0" wide opening no matter what I do. I can't find any constraints linking the reference planes to each other or to a 3'-0" dimension - I can't find any constraints on them at all, in fact.Â
The file in question is attached. As I mentioned, the reference planes I'm concerned about are called "left" and "right". I have been able to move other reference planes in the file.
I have a panoramic picture made up of three photos and i need some tips on how to get rid of the faint lines visible from where the three photos join.
you can see this in the attached image. under the big rock and in the sky on the right.
When I start a new project and I start editing the photo (i.e. drawing on it with the paintbrush) I encounter a problem when I try to select certain colors and delete. So lets say I have three colors in my image. I do a little drawing and editing on my image and then I want each separate color to be a separate layer. So I select two of the colors and delete them. Any things that isn't that third color or where the two colors I deleted used to be now has these "editing lines" is what I want to call them. You can see faint lines where I had made slight changes to the image with lets say the paintbrush. HOW DO I GET RID OF THOSE LINES?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm currently drawing renovation plans, sections and elevations, and i have a prexisting set of drawings, a after renovation set of drawings and would like to achieve the intersecting of this two sets with objects/lines in yellow for whats going to be demolished and red for whats being built and white for whats to remain untouched.
I started by setting a yellow color for the first set and red for the second set. And worked my way to the excrutianting task of breaking and setting this two sets of 2d drawings.
Is there a command or routine that allows me to break a line were two diferent lines overlap in the drawing. I was wandering if i could do that i then would only have to overkill the entire drawing..
Why Camera Views is different from all other views in Revit. It is simple not possible to add a view reference, or a tag etc. to reference to a camera view.

Of course I can put in a 'dead' symbol to show where it is in plans, but that's simply not the same...
How do I convert Detail Lines to non-plotting Reference Lines or Reference Planes? (or to a reference line that would not plot in the future?).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am doing a .idw drawing of an assembly that I have several parts that I do not want to appear in the BOM parts list. I have therefore set these parts as Reference parts however this has caused them to appear as "hidden type" lines in the drawing and are even visible through other parts.
Is there any way to make these parts appear in the drawing "as normal" and not be listed in the parts list?
I am working on a horizontal directional drill with multiple survey points.
The survey points make up (what looks like an upside down dome) and they are all connected with polylines. I need to add straight vertical lines to each point. Of course I can do this manually, but I'm wondering if there's a way to automate it. I've tried Lee's point manager, but it seems the problem is there's no option for xstart, xend, and ystart, yend. I also tried created a block out of a line then importing that on the points with point manager, but I need all of the lines to end at the same position at the top. This doesnt work because as you can see the points aren't all equal from the bottom. I also cannot find a way to trim blocks. I was hoping blocks would have the same xstart and xend, etc. as a line, but they don't.
Is it possible to select lines (maybe up to 6 lines) around an intersection point  with a reference line. There is one intersection point and the lines are around it. And also, both the intersecting lines are in different layers.Â

For some strange reason I can not print and dimension lines with an angle reference. I get the error "Cannot find or create the font AerialMT".
However, I have this font on my machine. Triple checked and installed it again.
I,ve got an old photo of the ship my dad sailed in during WWII and i'm trying to fix it up a bit. here is the original and a small copy of what I have done so far.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy mother has a picture of herself with singer Ed Ames that was taken quite a long time ago. The problem is, the lighting was horrible at the airport they were at and the picture turned out pretty bad. I'm no expert in Photoshop, but I do know my way around it pretty well- the problem is I don't know if there is any hope to bring out features in Ed's face.
This picture might be a lost cause, but if any of you think you know how to make the picture better,
I have attached a section of a picture that I am currently working on. I have been trying to get rid of some green and red pixels that are all over the picture. You can better see them in the hair and neck area.
The original file has a decent size and is 300dpi.
I have been trying to use the clone tool, paint over the hair but it just doesn´t look right.

Is there any way to remove that without affecting the texture of the photograph? (these curves show over a piece of fabric and I really wanna keep the texture of the fabric).

First of all, a few of them have some really ugly creases where they've been folded. How can I get rid of those? Second, some of them were too big to scan all at once and I had to connect several scans together in one JPEG. The borders between them are obvious and I'd like to know how to smooth them over so it's not so obvious that the whole was put together with several pieces.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a layer in a photoshop file that is semi-transparent, and want to make it opaque.
It hasn't got a layer mask, it isn't just a normal layer with the opacity slider down, I just accidentally used the eraser tool on it with a low opacity and didn't notice until it was too late.
I have some photos I took at a car show. Unfortunately, the event was held in a garage under horrible lighting. It gave everything a yellow-orange cast. What is the best way to remove or shift the color cast to more natural light. I tried Channel Mixer to some good effect. I have attached a sample image. I realize it may be hard to recover anything, but I'm just interesting in the technique.
Note in the image, there is almost no blue. The Channel mixer allows "converting" some of the other light into blue. I'm I on the right track?
I have structures and alignments data referenced. If I assign the structures ref alignments in the dwg with the data refs for labeling, the next time I open the dwg the ref alignments are set back to none, causing the labels to be ?
It seems like this worked in the past?
I'm working on a large infrastructure project with numerous of drawings. On quite a few layout drawings I need to have the same base set of references, however I need to change the layer settings (colors, lineweight etc.). This cannot be done in the base reference itself as it is used by others. As the layouts I work with includes other references as well, it is time consuming to filter and change layer settings on each base reference.
My concept is to have a master reference file to manage all layer settings and add/remove base references. When the master reference is referenced into the layout, all layer settings on the base references should stay as set in the master reference. In this way I can easily control all base references with one file and make sure all changes will be the same for all the layouts.

I am getting this error in my production drawings.
My setup is as follows:
- EG.dwg has my existing surface in it. I create a data reference to use it in other drawings.
- Level One.dwg has the EG surface data referenced in, and I use this to create alignments, profiles, and finish surface. All of these are turned in to data references.
- Storm Sanitary.dwg has my pipe designs. I data reference in the two surfaces, profiles, and alignments, and create pipe networks. I create references for these networks.
- Plan Profile.dwg is the production sheet I'm getting this error from. Every one of my civil objects is data referenced in to this drawing. Everything is inserted correctly, the pipes show correct FG surface elevations for their rims, etc.
BUT when I open this drawing, I get this error. I assume it's because my FG surface is not directly in the storm sanitary.dwg.
How do I get rid of this error, without combining drawings, or promoting the surface to one or more drawings? Isn't this exactly what data references is made for?
Update has failed several times. The update log states a file is corrupt and the program needs to be re-installed. How do I do this?
