My Photoshop crashes if I open two *.psd files at the same time.
If I open only one file everything works. If I try afterwards to create a new file it crashes again. It seems it can't handle more than ONE file.
When I go to open a file (any file, jpeg, psd, tif) Photoshop CC launches and begins the process of starting up. The file image appears for a brief moment then the program closes (aka crashes) and that's it. I then try CS6 and it opens the file just fine.
I can open jpgs but when I open a psd I crash. Anytime open a file, Any file and then close Photoshop, Photoshop crashes before it has completely closed, I'm using Photoshop CS6 extended v13.01 x32 on Windows 7
Every time I open a RAW file in CS6 (at 16-bit depth) it crashes, so I am unable to open RAW files after editing in Camera Raw. The RAW files open OK in Camera Raw and I can edit them, but then opening them from Camera Raw into Photoshop (by clicking on Open Image) causes a crash.  Further background: I also had CS3 (the entire suite concurrently) installed. Thinking that might be a problem, I removed all of CS3 using the Adobe Uninstaller tool to see if that would work. Then I re-installed Photoshop CS6 from scratch and then downloaded and installed all updates.  CS6 still crashes every time I open a RAW file if I open it as 16-bit. If I open a .DNG file directly from Photshop (without using Camera Raw), that crashes too. I'm opening them into Photoshop using Adobe RGB (1998), 16-bit, 3456 x 5184 (17.9 MP), 300DPI.  Thinking it might be a memory issue, I checked free RAM using Activity Monitor and I see it has 3.4 GB free with both CS6 and Bridge open, which should be plenty. However I do see by looking in the crash report from the system log (portion included below), that it appears the crash may have resulted from a failed MALLOC (memory allocation).  Here's the kicker: oddly, when I open the file up in Photoshop at 8-bit depth, it works fine.  Details:  Software and Hardware versions: Photoshop CS6 Extended (13.0.4 x64) Camera Raw 7.3 Bridge CS6 (5.0.2.4) Mac OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion) 8 GB RAM 27" iMac with 2.66 Ghz Intel Core i5 ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card with 512 MB RAM 1 Terabyte HD with 750GB free Canon EOS Rebel T3i Canon EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 Lense  Top portion of System Log file with the crash data in it: Process:        Adobe Photoshop CS6 [4110] Path:           /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Adobe Photoshop CS6.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop CS6 Identifier:     com.adobe.Photoshop

I´m trying to open a file that comes with a cd. Windows explorer tells me the file was produced with coreldraw 5. but when i try to open it coreldraw x6 crashes immediately (x64).
latest patch installed.
link to the file: [URL]
i´d be very lucky if you tell me with which version of coreldraw you were able to open this file and/or how to avoid crashing of coreldraw x6 on my computer.
I am running 2.8 with Windows 7 64 bit. This just started today. I had done a picture, then closed out gimp. When I reopened it, I could no longer open files in Gimp. I can start gimp, then click on open files, and scroll through the files, and as soon as I select one, it whites out and says Gimp has stopped responding. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, same issue. I tried jpeg, png, and xfc files, none will load.
I have migrated to a new PC with Windows7 64-bit. I installed my copy of PSPP X3 and it works fine except for two issues. The File Open dialog always crashes the program when I use it although Drag&Drop and Recent Files work fine.
Another (related) issue is that I cannot use Customize Scripts either.
On my PC running Windows Vista Ultimate with an Nvidia GEForce GT 545 video adapter, when I attempt to resize the Open File window in CorelDraw X5 to see more of the file information, the window starts rapidly flashing and opens a stack of same window. System response is slowed when trying to close or cancel the window, and it will display "Not Responding" for several seconds before it clears. CorelDraw X5 itself also has trouble closing. I repeated this 3 times and had the same thing happen, so it is not a random event. Not sure whether it is CorelDraw conflicting with the Nvidia driver or something else. The only workaround I found was to use Windows Explorer to view the additional file information, such as date modified or other metadata.
I'm running Coreldra X4 on a windows vista machine. Lately I started having a courious problem with Coreldraw x4. When a try to open a cdr file before opening CDX4 i get an error message saying that the file dos not exist. after this CDX4 crashes.
On the other side if I open CDX4 and then try to open the very same cdr file everything is ok.
I installed AutoCAD on my pc with windows 7 and to complete the installation I had to change the registry file EULA from 0 to 1. Now it works but when I try to open an existing file it crashes.
My illustrator CS6 crashes when i try to open an AI file with RGB color mode. I worked on this file yesterday and changed it to RGB mode. Today i tried to open the file again but illustrator won't open it and crashes. It does work when i want to open a file with CMYK color mode.

I just installed it and I haven't been able to use it. I'll try on my mac laptop too. Too bad that I removed CS6 from my HD now I don't have photoshop,
Photoshop CS4 will not open...My OS is Lion 10.7.5. I know the issue involves Extensis' Suitcase Fusion...my version is 2. I can't afford to upgrade. Is there a workaround so that I can open Photoshop? Photoshop is not listed in the Plug-in Manager list of Suitcase Fusion so I can't disable the plug-in.Â
I was using photoshop CC this morning and all was good. There was windstorm and a power outage. When I tried to use it tonight, It opens all the way, but immediately a window opens that says "Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working". I am on a decent Windows machine using Windows 7. I know Adobe is performing maintenence, but could it cause this?? Could a file have been cut or something when the power went out? Do I need to uninstally Photshop CC and re-install?? I checked and my cloud app is working okay. After Effects opened also. Lightroom is working okay, but I prefer to use Lightroom and Photoshop together & get better results.
My work copy of CS3, Photoshop in particular, is crashing every single time I try to open more than one file. I tried trashing the preferences when using WinXP. We couldn't get it to stop crashing upon opening more than 1 file regardless of the open method (Recent docs, File>Open, Drag & Drop, etc) So then I actually got a new computer (bonus!) and there's Vista Ultimate on it. All was working great until this morning and now sure enough if I try to open more than one file, CRASH... Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? It must not be my machine because I've tried two machines..
I have autocad civil 3d 2008 in my pc. From last 2 days I got a different problem i.e. when I am selecting open / save command from File menu graphical file select explorer is not opening just message in the command window . Previously I used to select files using graphical file explorer.
Photoshop CS5.1 crashes when trying to launch the application using a cron script. This happens on two different machines running 10.7.3. I just installed CC last night, so I haven't had a lot of time to work with the CC apps yet... Bridge has been working fine since the start for LOTS of sorting and tagging images in the last day and a half, and I've opened CameraRAW a handful of times without issue, then this evening I tried to open Photoshop CC for the first time and got a whole lot of strange messages about expired trials and activation problems and other errors and then it crashed... At first I think my internet security software was maybe interfering with Photoshop's attempts to confirm licensing online, but I seem to have gotten that sorted out ... so I no longer get all the weird licensing errors, but right after Photoshop loads I very quickly get the "Photoshop has quit working" error and it crashes. After experiencing this issue I went and tried all my other CC apps and Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge all seem fine... just Photoshop is giving me issues.  I already tried "signing out" and signing back in to CC apps.  I am using CC on Windows 7 pro. I previously have had Master Collection CS3 and CS5 installed on this computer... but I de-installed these entirely before installing any new apps. I had some errors in de-installing CS3 so I used the Adobe Cleaner Tool to ensure that CS5 and CS3 had been completely de-installed before starting fresh with CC. I don't expect this previous software is causing any issues, but I figured I'd give a complete account of my situation.  Problem signature:  Problem Event Name:         APPCRASH  Application Name:         Photoshop.exe  Application Version:         14.0.0.0  Application Timestamp:         5176451b  Fault Module Name:         atiocl64.dll [code]...
Everytime I open photoshop to edit a simple photo it crashes. Almost as soon as I press clone tool or any other tool it crashes. Its not my computer, or the space on my computer or my video drives. I was going to uninstall then re-install but I am scared because I have the CD but not my serial number.
Every time I open Photoshop Elements Organizer it either crashes before opening or very soon after. I am able to use the editor, but not the organizer. I ahve removed all older versions, disabled my anti-virus software, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times with no luck. I have a Dell Laptop with windows 7 - 64 bit operating system and dual quad processor. I have used several versions of Elements and have never had this problem before. The last version that I had installed and worked was version 8.
why does illustartor CC open then crashes and i get a message saying windows does not know what the problem is. everytime i open it, Now i know it works on my computer becuase i've used illustartor plenty of times on my current desktop but ever since today its been acting wierd and work so i've uninstalling and reinstalling but still nothing works then i tried installing on another hardrive still did not work and i cleaned out my registryies, optimized my disk, and cleaned temp files tooo.
Couple days ago I got a problem. When I try to open extended menu, like Open ->, or Save ->, or Import/Export, 3ds max crashes with "application closed" error. Problem on 3ds MAX 2010 and 2011 in x64 versions. x86 work fine. Service Packs installed. OS Windows 7 x64. Drivers updated, and workis fine.
This solutions did not resolve a problem: - reinstall 3ds MAX - reset user and max settings / deleting enu folder - there is no backup for windows recovery
Can it be, than some windows libraries damaged, or some dll missed? Do not know what to do else, except full windows reinstall.
Just downloaded the demo of CS6, but am having a nightmare trying to open my CS5.5 project. I get the following error message After Effects error: crash occurred while invoking effect plug-in "Shadow/Highlight". Â I tried opening a different project, and a similar error occurs, but with a different plugin. This time it's the Paint plugin. After Effects error: crash occurred while invoking effect plug-in "Paint".
My Paintshop Pro X4 was working great, until I registered it today, then all hell broke loose. It crashes and also I cannot get the "Computer" tab to open, only the "Desktop" tab will work correctly. Tried restarting it, same results. I use Win XP Pro SP3 and computer does not have virus, nor malware. Hard drive is 500G. Graphics card is updated and more than adequate.
The crash happens everytime I try to open iProperties from the .iam(Assembly) that I use it in. The only other .ipts I use in the .iam is two small rings. I can open iProperties for the .ipt if I open the .ipt for it self, thou I have .iams that use .ipts that are nearly similar to the one causing the crash, that open iProperties just fine.
