I have been having problems with Adobe Bridge and ACR and after talking with others, including NAPP Help Desk, it has been determined that I need to uninstall and reinstall both programs. I was told to uninstall through the Adobe Application Manager, however, I see NO option there to uninstall.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've watched the Adobe sales video, and I've read the payment plans. It doesn't mention Bridge. If I opt for Photoshop as a single app, does that include Bridge? Or do I have to opt for the complete package for CS user upgrade? I can't see that Bridge is an app in it's own right - it's basically just an image viewer, so the extra cost just to get Bridge seems a bit excessive.

I upgraded Photoshop CS3 to CS4 on an XP Pro system. I then ran the Windows uninstall for CS3, but it left behind Bridge CS3 and Adobe Device Central CS3. How do I get rid of these remaining CS3 components? They don't show up in the program list of Windows Uninstall?

View 2 Replies View Relatedpurchased the 5.5-upgrade to 6.0 Designpremium. Everything seems to work properly except the bridge, wich won't start as stand-alone - works only as Mini-bridge inside photoshop.
While trying to start the bridge from photoshop ("go to bridge") results in a bridge's crash...
In my former installations (5.0 and 5.1) everything was ok ...
After opening Bridge CS6 (and using mini Bridge), there are no thumbnails showing. I've pointed Bridge to just one folder with less than 5 photos in it and it cannot even display them. I'm running a recent Mac Pro with 16GB RAM and kick graphics card.

I am specifically intrigued by the cloud; the light blast is fairly easy.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just signed up for the latest cloud version and created my first file and I can't get it to print. The first time I go to the file menu the print option is available but when I click on it, nothing happens. If I look in the file menu a second time, the print option is greyed out.
I can close the file and re-open and the exact same thing happens. I've also tried closing Photoshop altogether and it's the same story.
I'm on Windows XP by the way.
Is it still possible to get CS6 without Creative Cloud? I have CS4 and was going to upgrade to CS6, but then it changed to a subscription basis. As a nonprofessional, passionate hobbyist who gets no income from his photography I can't afford to pay the monthly costs of CS6 Creative Cloud. Or will I have to switch a competing photo program, which admittedly won't be as good?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do I save to the cloud from Ps CC? I only see options to save to my hard drives from the Save or Save As options.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was checking out the CS6 product page, especially wanting to see the uprgrade pricing (I currently own CS4 Design Premium full suite). I had not really investigated the Creative Cloud thing before, so I went through the FAQs. I'm still not sure if I want to go that route, or stick with the perpetual license thing.
You are assured of always having the most up-to-date versions, and can add any app at any time. I currently use Photoshop and Illustrator way more than the rest of the apps in my suite, but it is nice the rest are there when I need them. Who knows, I might really get into Premeir Pro or Audition.
The Cloud basically offers everything in the CS Master Collection. The question is, "Is it a good value (for me) (or you)?" It seems it's a better deal the more apps you use. In my case, comparing the cost of an upgrade to the Master Collection (which I likely wouldn't buy otherwise) would give me 2 3/4 years of the funtionality for the same price. Pretty good, even considering Adobe's new 24-month release cycle.
But compared with the Web and Design Premium upgrade, which would be the version I probably would buy, it drops down to less than two years functionality. But, I would gain the ability to add apps as my needs may change. The fact that you have to keep on paying to continue to use it is a definite turn-off, but not that much worse than the new one-version-back upgrade policy.
So, I have more thinking to do before I make up my mind. I would like to hear thoughts from those who have decided, particularly from those who have decided to get Cloudy. What were the main things that led you to that decision? Or against it?
Do I need to remove my paid version of CS6 to download and use Photoshop extended App from the cloud? I don't have a 3D button, I had the 3D ver. with the beta CS6 and when CS6 was made avail for purchase I got it but the 3D was gone. And after seeing it was on the Creative Cloud I subscribed and downloaded it but still no 3D button.
