Photoshop :: Auto Crop And Export EPS Vectors To Separate PNG Files?

May 20, 2013

I have used Photoshop for several years, but I didn't take the time to lean allot of what it can do.I'm going through Lynda.com videos now and starting to get a little better understanding.

I bought some vector eps files from Shutterstock. Most of these vectors are a bunch of smaller image elements.(For Instance Icons)What I would like to do is to find a way to batch crop all of the layers out of the eps and into png files.Of course they would need slightly different names.

I have seen where you can do something similar, but the smaller images are on a full size transparent background. I would prefer that they are auto cropped.I have the full CS6 Through Adobe Creative Cloud. So I can use illustrator for part of this if needed.

Illustrator :: How To Export AI 5.1 Files To After Effects As Vectors

Mar 4, 2013

This may have a simple solution (and probably does), but I can't find it. What I'm trying to do is to import an AI 5.1 file into AE 5.5 as original vectors. I need to be able to scale up to about 12,000 percent and then back down to 100 percent for the effect of an extreme closeup being zoomed out of. The point of vectors, of course, is that you can do this without losing resolution... but no matter what I try, AI files keep being imported as raster files. When they're scaled up enough, the pixilation starts.

Illustrator :: Export Layers To Separate Files?

Any way within AI CS4 to export layers to separate .ai files? Or third party plug-in to do the same? Preferably retaining the layer name as the new file name.

I have a layered .ai file with 40 layers of logo versions that I need to export to separate files and I'd like to avoid the obvious "save as" and delete layers route.

Lightroom :: Auto Sync - Separate Buttons

Sep 19, 2012

Like why don't they have separate buttons? Am i the only one - you auto sync a few shots, then you want to copy settings from one shot to a couple of other ones, then you want to go back to autosyncing, but if you've forgotton to click the button, you're not back on autosync. And then you're like, which ones have, which ones haven't etc.

And the reverse is worst .. Geez, like now you've got tons and tons of shots all with the wrong settings...Don't they have photographers in Adobe who use this thing? Or am i unique, in that some settings i want to copy, some i want to auto sync?

Photoshop :: CS6 Crop Without Auto Aspect Flipping?

Feb 10, 2013

Is there a good fast way to use Photoshop CS6's crop tool to crop to a particular width/height without having to go through the Size and Resolution dropdown?

With the crop tool selected, if I punch "10" and "50" into the two boxes next to Unconstrained,  then Photoshop CS6 doesn't interpret this as 10pc wide by 50pc high. Instead, for a landscape-format photo it comes out as a 50x10 crop, and for a portrait image it comes out as 10x50.

Selecting "Size and Resolution" from the crop dropdown appears to solve this, but it is slower, since you have to dance through a modal dialog box. Is there a way to get the CS5-like behavior from the crop tool? Use Classic Mode does not appear to affect this.

Photoshop :: How To Do A Batch Auto Crop And Center

Oct 16, 2012

I recently scanned all my print photographs, three images per scanned TIFF file.

I want to utilize Photoshop's Auto Crop and Center feature found in File > Automate.

However, I can't figure out how automate more than once.

I have opened many .tiff files, and when I use Auto Crop/Center, it creates the three images. I can't seem to save them with Image Processing or Batch and needs to be done manually.

I have a ton of photos so I'm hoping Photoshop has a way to do this.

Ideally, I'd want to open a reasonable amount of Tiff files, execute something that would crop them all, and save them all into JPG's.

Photoshop :: Auto Crop Multiple Images In Scans?

Jul 26, 2012

I am receiving a bunch of raw scans and the first thing I need to to with it is cropping them into individual images. We are talking hundreds of photos, with 6+ images on each raw scan. Doing it manually takes time and might not be 100% accurate.  One should think some kind of software was made able to do this automatically (PS plugins?)

I suspect I *might* have to resort to something other than Adobe * - but in desperation I am trying this forum anyway..! It would be GREAT to be able to just do this repetetive work in one batch.

With Ghost script installed center of fonts like e,b,p etc fill in with font color. Convert to eps prior to importing still has the issue? Also had some objects reposition on import but fixed if converted to eps? Processing a lot of client files for output to image so this is a real problem.

AutoCAD LT :: How To Separate Layers From One Another And Export

Jun 12, 2013

I am very new to AutoCAD (1 day of playing around).

My company is an independant environmental consultancy company that uses GIS (QGIS/shapefiles/.dxf is compatable) to create maps etc. We are generally sent AutoCAD .dwg or .dxf from out clients for the technical drawings of their projects. I have a few questions:

The files I am sent are not georeferenced, no background map, no connection with the real world, is there a better way to georeference these drawings than the "Set Location" tab (this is a good tool if I could set the location before I begin, but it only has 1 point of reference and when the client sends a road alignment, for example, the single point of reference does not allow me to keep consistent scale/orientation etc?If the client sends a drawing with many layers (bore holes/road/solar panals/site office/power lines) how do I seperate these layers from one another and export them as individual .dxf for use in our GIS and mapping programs?

Lightroom :: Photo Export - Separate Keywords With Commas?

Aug 3, 2013

As a photojournalist I upload my pictures to news agencies, using captions and keywords to add information to the files. While captions work fine, the keyword formation of Lightroom puts me in trouble, when I export the files to upload them to the agencies.

I would need the keywords to be separated by commas, like here:

Germany, Berlin, Angela Merkel, Politics

Unfortunately, when I export the images, Lightroom  writes them  without separation-commas (only puts the keywords in separate lines), like this:

Germany
Berlin
Angela Merkel
Politics

Lightroom :: How To Export Photos Into Separate Folders Based On Collections

Jan 31, 2014

I am wondering if there is a simple way to export photos from lightroom into seperate folders based on collections.

For example, in LR5, I have collection set "2014". Within "2014", there are sub-collections Jan, Feb, March... and so on. How can I export all the photos, at once, from the "2014" collection set so they end up in a folder structure that mirrors the collection set and sub-collections. My collection is more complex and contains many more sub-collections than the example provided, so I would really like to avoid having to export each sub-collection separately.

In searching for this, I found mention of some sort of plug-in that apparently was capable of this, but I could not get it to work. The GUI was not intuitive and I didn't have time to learn it. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the plug-in since I deleted it. But is there any way to do this without having to learn code or install plug-ins?

Photoshop :: Saving Layers As Separate Image Files?

I am trying to save all the layers I have in my PSD file as separate layers in a folder that I created.  I trying to do this by going to File- Scripts- Export Layers to Files but when I set it up and do this I get an error message saying:

"General Photoshop error occured.  This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. -The command "Duplicate" is not currently available."

I am not sure why this is saying "this version" considering I installed  it not too long ago and the document has been made a few days ago meaning I never even used another version of photoshop.  I have all the layers visible too and even selected them.  I am using Photoshop CS6 by the way.

Lightroom :: How To Have V4 Auto Import After Export

What I have a gripe with is why when I am exporting my editied raws into what ever jpeg format I want (highres low res etc) I put these in a folder with in the orgional raws parent folder and call it "02 - High_Res" for example. Is there a way I can just get it to appear with out syncing?

Lightroom :: 4 - Auto Assigned Placenames Not Written To XMP On Export?

Mar 30, 2012

When pinning a photo to the map, and get the GPS coordinates into metadata. I also get information in the IPTC fields for ISO Country Code, Country and State/province, but they are marked in italics and with a grey-coloured typeface. I use DNG raw files.

When exporting to JPG, the GPS coordinates are included in EXIF, but the placenames are gone.

If I enter the placenames manually, they export to both IPTC and XMP tags.

Why are the automatically assigned placenames not included on export?
