Paint Shop Pro :: X6 - Using Workspaces From X5
Oct 7, 2013I have a trial version of PSP X6. I'd like to move and use my workspaces from X5. I've tried everything I can think to do: point to the X5 workspaces folders, copying the X5 workspaces to the X6 folder, adding the X5 folders in the File Locations Preferences, etc.

Dec 1, 2011I was working on a file in the 'edit' workspace and decided to go to the "adjust" workspace and lost the file. Is that normal for it to close the file when moving to another workspace?
I do see that if I have the organizer opened to the folder with the file in it, it stays. This seems cumbersome though to have to open the organizer and find the file as opposed to just going to the Open folder button at the top of the Edit workspace to get the file. This is also nice because the Open button remembers where I was last whereas the organizer makes me start from scratch to drill down to the appropriate folder.

Oct 15, 2012I am not liking the new features of X4 text. First, is there anyway to make the default text use the dialog box with holding down the shift key? Second, I am so use to previewing font styles by simply highlighting my text and then scrolling through the fonts drop down menu with version 10. This seems impossible with X4, MAJOR BUMMER and it really slows me down.

Dec 31, 2011I am trying to scan from a Kodak ESP 3250 All in One, into X4 on a Toshiba Satellite with 4GB memory and a 120GB SSD with 80GB free.
No matter how small an image area I try to scan, colour, grey-scale or BW, or how low I set the resolution, I get the message that there is not enough memory, and to close some documents, even when there are none open.
I can scan from the ESP 3250 into other installed programs OK.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium with all updates installed.

Now, this no longer works! There's still some communication there, because an error message - which, incidentally, makes absolutely no sense at all - is generated in PSP X4:

Nov 23, 2011I'm trying to import into Coreldraw X3 files which were emailed to me by an Adobe CS4 user:

(they are attached via a wetransfer link because as I found out the file size limit here is 256k and I cannot compress the files down to that size.) After reading several of the threads here, I'm not any smarter. I've tried various settings to import the .pdf, and regardless of which option I choose, I get a file corrupted error - it looks like the pdf version output to from Illustrator is flat out not supported by coreldraw. it opens fine in foxit reader, which tells me it's pdf 1.5 version.the .eps imports as a group of 542 objects but I cannot see any of these objects in the Object Manager docker.

May 15, 2012I want to use the paint brush for editing a photo I have, but the only color available is black. No matter where I've looked in PSP, there was no option to change the color of the paint brush. I've read online that you need to change the pallet to material pallet, then go to "Foreground & Stroke Properties" and set the color box to the color I want, but the only colors I get are different hues of black and gray.
Even in Paint it's just a matter of clicking the desired color to use different colors. Why isn't it so simple in PSP?
