I am new here, but have used Paint.net for about 2 years. I am not a graphic artist or artistic. But I use the program to create posters and printable material for the small church I pastor.
Any way to edit the text after it is rendered. I have seen friends do this on other programs (PaintShop comes to mind). Is there a plug in for this? Is this planned for the future?
How can I go back and edit text? I tried going back and editing the text I had, but the entire text disappeared.
I'm using a text effect, I need to edit the text itself while still maintaining the effect.
I don't want to start over and repeat the lengthy process of making the same effect again with new text.
how do you redo text once you've moved onto something else. For instance, I wrote some text and then later on decided that I wanted to edit it but it's not clickable for some reason. For the life of me, how to make the text clickable to change it.

edit the text of a scanned card and I want the logos as well. I don't want to remove the logos that are on the current card and neither don't want to miss the background of the card.
I cannot go back and edit a text layer. There appears to be no way to re-edit text once you move off of the text area during it's creation. Am I missing something? Is there a great plugin to fix this deficit?

The same occurs with .WMF format. I need to import vectorial graphics from .PPT files with a specific resolution, and I do not see any other way to do that.
I have PaintShop Photo Pro X3 v.13.2.1.20 with last available patches and updates installed.
I have a web design comp in Photo-Paint X5 with all of my layers nice and organized, and some are hidden. If I edit a text layer, upon exiting the edit all of my hidden layers reappear, but only within a "group". It's very annoying to have to go back and hide all of those layers again.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have added 9pt vector text in multiple places of an image. Now I realize it should have been 8pt. I can add new text as 8pt but cant figure out how to change the point size of vector text that is already on the image. If I select a vector text object and then change the point size on the "Size" drop down menu at the top nothing happens. If I right click the vector object and select Edit Text I can change the actual text but not the font or its size. If I right-click the vector object and select Properties I can change stroke, fill, line style etc but this window does not include font or size. How do I change the font and point size for existing vector text objects?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe image is correct when I export it to jpg or png, but the text is wrongly rendered when I export to pdf. Not always, in fact: three covers are OK. In the fourth one, the first two letters of the author's name are set in a smaller body. In the fifth cover, two lines of the title are placed to high, and convert the author's name, and the third line of the title is missing.
I cannot understand what occurs, and what characteristics of the cover triggers what seems to be a bug. I'm using GIMP 2.8 on Ubuntu 12.10.

I have a family photo including many text layers. I'm trying to edit the text in a selected large multi-line text layer. I'm following the steps from the appropriate PSE article, but I always end up creating a new layer and the red/green no-go/go option. I thought I should just be able to double-click the text layer and start editing.
Is there a way to export text from InDesign to Photoshop and preserve the type as editable text in an area text box, similar to the export to PSD in Illustrator? Designed many web site pages in InDesign, and now need to covert all pages over to Photoshop quickly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having this strange issue with the Photoshop type tool in Photoshop CS5. It might be, although I'm not sure, a bug. The tool itself is working and lets me add text and edit. But the box that shows up when editing text (and the blinking line that shows where I am in the text) - has gone invisible. I am having this issue in only one document. - I tested the type tool on other documents, and everything was normal. I've looked up shotcuts and hotkeys to check if I've tapped a key or something, but it doesn't appear to be so.
Now about the document; it does have quite the amount of text layers, and a lot of text in them. I've tried resetting the type tool, and I've restarted the program.
When I restart the program, the tool works as it's supposed to - but after editing or adding a new text layer, the editing area is gone again! Is this a bug, or have I touched keys that do odd things?

with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. it's gimp 2.8.0
Text is allowed only on the outside of a rectangle shape. The text cursor disappears when I try to enter it into the rectangle and when I place it on the edge of the rectangle, it rurns into a slanted "A" and allows texting on the border of the rectangle. Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 (build date Sept 7, 2010). This software came with my new HP Pavilion dv7.

If it is possible for a complete newbie to modify a psd file in Paint.net? I have some experience with other freeware to modify images but they do not support psd files.
I have attached a screenshot of the psd files. I need to change the color of the menus, and the text and color of the image in the home page and logo website.

Wanted: I want to edit that adjustment layer's mask in the editing area, viewing the mask as a black and white image.
Current procedure:
1. Create a new raster layer.
2. Change the Foreground Material to black.
3. Select the Fill tool.
4. Fill that new raster layer with black.
5. Move that black raster layer below the adjustment layer.
6. Select the adjustment layer.
7. Open the Properties of the adjustment layer.
8. Change the overlay colour to white.
9. Change the overlay opacity to 100%.
10. Select "Highlight Mask Area" in the Layers palette.
Questions:
1. Is there an easier way to do this?
2. If not, I've recorded a script that starts with the adjustment layer selected, but the script fails when attempting to move the new raster layer below the adjustment layer.
I had hoped to go from CS4 to Paintshop Pro 4 to process my photos. PSP4 is not working as it should. I begin the edit, get almost through and PSP freezes. My pc has plenty of RAM and storage space. CS4 has never done this. I open up to 10 RAW files at once in CS4 with no problems. I have searched Corel and the web for a clue as to what is going on. I want to leave Adobe and am currently looking for a software replacement. I have used PSP in the past. I stopped using it with the X3 release due to the error messages it gave me and went with Adobe.
