Paint.NET :: Finding Different Form Of The Freeform Shape Tool?
Mar 25, 2013
I want to be able to define a "freeform shape" by clicking random coordinates and close the shape with a right click. (similar to words draw shape command). Is there an addon for this?
I also want this added capability in the "Lasso" function. Instead of dragging to random locations, just clicking on interim points where straight line segments are needed.
PSP X3 is usually very stable but occasionally when I use the Preset Shape Tool to overlay an arrow onto my image, it freezes permanently. Waiting it out in the hope of self recovery doesn't work. I'm running X3 on a Windows 7 Ultimate Dell Studio 17 laptop, 32 bits, 4 GB RAM.
That link is multiple images i have taken i want the ink to form the title of a book cover. By using the ink thats in the image not to put a already existing font over the top. How do i do this im not new to Photoshop but also not great. I have Photoshop CS6 and am on a Mac.
I was trying to make a logo and for doing as I sketched it I thought Offset path will do. But unfortunately it didnt. By using this feature repeatedly the shape is losing its initial form. This is what I want (as concept) but as you can see the shapes don't have the same form as the original cloud:
I know is almost impossible to make this without any distortion, but I was wondering if there is any other methond with less shape deformation.
Hi im a newbie in photoshop. heres my queries. I want to make a a big circle and a smaller circle in the same point of location just like using offset path cmd in adobe illutrator using select modify contract or expand cmd.I selected a circular marquee with the size of 6cm x 6cm and filled it w/a color.while selection is active i contracted it w/ the amount of 4pix and filled it with another dif. color the result is smooth edges, but when i contracted it again by a bigger amount like 24pix it looks distorted.I think there is a technique in doing it. Can you help me guys?Just remember i want to know if contraction or expansion in ps has the same principle with the offset path cmd in ai. because the offset path cmd in ai produces smooth edges even if u enlarge it in any possible amt.
i'm attempting to photoshop this so the foam in the beer separates in the form of the supplied black shape. like it looks like its been stamped in the foam.
I just installed CD on my daughter's computer and her shape tool only allows for a free form selection by following the cursor in a free form way. My install allows for a rectangular click-and-drag type of selection. I see no options for this tool Is her install bad?
I have a VBA form coded that we use to generate part numbers and descriptions that then populate the iProperties. We often use the part sizes in the description. I would like to be able to put a button on the form that allows users to use the "Measure Distance" tool so that they can measure the part while they are creating the description.
Any code that I could use to activate the "measure" tool while a vba form is active?
The new free-form spot removal tool in Clone mode doesn't appear to work properly for me.I can draw a free-form shape, and once I close the shape its contents are replaced with the contents of another area as it should.
But the line around the shape (which for me is always at least 4 pixels wide, even if I set the tool size to 1 pixel, the pixel width returns to 4 pixels. It is always a white line for me) after the cloning remains visible in a strange way, as if the line had also been cloned from somewhere else, but doesn't match the current background properly.
If I draw a free-form straight line, its contents get cloned and that works well. But when I try to draw a free-form line around a shape, the line always is 4 pixels wide and in addition to the enclosed content being cloned, also the line content gets cloned, and hence the line I had drawn to enclose the area to be cloned remains visible, as the cloning never seems to work as properly as it does when I just draw a line (straight or bent) which does not enclose something.
As a new user of PSPX4 Ultimate Edition I would like to know if any of you could direct me to a photogallery where the use ofPSPX4 is the the unique software used for the development of the photos.
I'm wondering if there's a plugin to do a shader effect sort of like this photo. Something almost comic-bookish, using dots and such.I've looked briefly at the grid-based plugins, but haven't come up with anything solid.
I recently installed Paint.net (love it!) and was messing around with effects and colors when I stumbled upon this one adjustment/edit . That allowed you to select several colors and make a a threshold and other cool effects with only the colors you selected previously. I thought it was really cool, but I didn't save the photo.
I used to have a DeltaE calculator which I downloaded free from the Internet, but it does not seem to be available any longer.
The idea was to type in the Lab specification for two colour samples, then the calculator would come up with the difference between them expressed in units of Delta E.
I have found a calculator which requires Photoshop CS, but I cannot locate a free-standing version.
I am trying to find the default custom shapes that came with Photoshop 6, I am using cs now and dont have them anymore. I am trying to find this shape, it looked like a distorted rectangle. One side was larger than the other and all the sides where not parallel.
I've just started using Paint.Net, primarily for pixel work. I needed a program that had the curve line tool but with extra features than the ones provided in Microsoft Paint. But it seems that I've came to a problem, the lines are anti-aliased, even at 1 pixel big. I was wondering if there was a option to turn the aliasing off for the line/curve tool.
I noticed that creating curved lines with the freeform pen tool makes a thick blurry line rather than a nice precise line like the lasso and rectangle tool make. a way to make nice precise curved lines?
One of the features I was really looking forward to in CS6 was creating fillable forms with ONE application. I created a form following the step by step instructions in classroom in a book for CS6. When I opened the exported form in Reader X, I get a "This operation is not permitted" error. I opened the completed "end" document in the lesson to make sure I didn't commit an error, and I got the same message when exporting. I have looked for places in menus to modify security restrictions and I can't find any. I installed the updates and that didn't solve the issue.
I saw one solution posted which is to open the document in Acrobat, then do a "save as" option. Is there anything we can do that doesn't involve buying additional software? If this is not the case, then Adobe seriously needs to change its training and advertising about this functionality.
So I have the modeling ribbon but the only tabs that seem to have any tools in them are the "GraphiteModelingTools" tab and the "ObjectPaint" tab. How do I get the hidden tools to appear in the "Freeform" and "Selection" tabs? Does the plugin need to be added?
I think I'm missing the "Conform" buttons from the Freeform panel. I create a plane with 20x20 segments and convert it to Poly but the Confrom buttons are not there?
lower layer: text on white background with a freeform line around the text (this page I created in iStudio, with the text block irregular on both right and left, the black line curving around the text)
All I want to do, before I add the next layer, is highlight that line and make it a little bit lighter (in blackness).
I can see various ways to select the line and its curvature, but I don't know how to lighten the color of the selected line.
Another annoying difference between Max 9 and 2012: I have to select the Freeform Gizmo for every instance of an Unwrap UVW editor. It seems the new default is Move Mode and in Max 2012 there is no memory of the last selected state. Ug!
The 'Save Current Settings as Default' is not useful.
Any ini setting which will set the Freeform Gizmo to the default?
I'm trying to use 3dsmax 2011 graphite freeform polydraw tools to retopologize a scanned high poly model.
Here are the steps I went through:
1-Imported the high poly mesh (.obj) 2-Converted to editable poly 3-Used ProOptimizer modifier to make the model "lighter" for my pc 4-In the polydraw tools, I selected "Draw On: Surface" 5-"picked" the high poly model 6-Selected offset 0,2 7-Created new object using the polydraw tools "New Object" 8-Froze the high poly model 9-Started retopologizing
The problem is that during the retopology process, my mesh doesn't ''stick'' to the reference high poly model... so I have to stop every now and then to adjust it which takes a lot of time.
I do know that there are a lot more specialized retopo tools like Topogun and 3Dcoat, but acquiring a new tool is not an option at the moment.
