Paint.NET :: How To Resize Photos / Images Or Logos And To Create Window Stickers
Sep 7, 2011I downloaded Paint.net to resize pics, images, or logos and to create window stickers. However, I am completely new to it all! After playing with it and using it for a few days, I've done a few things with gradients paintbrush and text.
1)When I am placing graphics AND text on a new creation, for some reason I can only add the text FIRST and not AFTER I add any graphics. (So, if I mess up after getting my graphics on there and realize I need my text moved, I gotta start ALL over!
2) Is there any instruction book on the program out there anywhere??? anywhere??? maybe a Paint.net book for Dummies???
3) How do I resize photo's?? How do I work with layers?
4) WHERE is the align tool? (or align object tool.....whatever it's called) I need a simple way to CENTER text and pics.....
The program has been useful to me from what I have learned by hitting the wrong buttons by mistake (lol) but I'm sure there are MUCH better ways to do things than what I've been doing......

3. I want to copy&paste selection as the new picture, but I need to rotate manually selected image part before that to fit into new canvas exactly.
Is it possible for the result to be autorotated to fit rectangular canvas?

I now I can change all the corner pixels to a differant colour ot make them transparent but as I want to do this to lots of pics I am hoping there is an easier way.

Dec 24, 2011I am "vector tracing" a logo in PSP, and exporting it to Motionstudio 3D for an explosion effect. I am currently able to do this with no issue, but the explosion effect (specifically the size and shape of the particles) is based on connecting the nodes in a vector object. For example, if I have a capital L made up of 10 nodes, the subsequent explosion effect with separate the L into particles based on the 10 nodes. What I want to do is have the various nodes that comprise the traced letter connect with constituent nodes in the center/surface-area of the letter to form a "grid" (in PSP) so that the subsequent explosion (after export to Motionstudio) is comprised of more/smaller particles. Is there a way of not only having a vector object with "fill", but also having that "fill" made up of other vector data?

May 27, 2004i am wanting to create a logo for a future website but i have no knowledge of creating vector graphics and that sort. i know how i want the image to look but i wouldn't know where to begin in PS.

Apr 28, 2006I have given a disc of photos to a client that she can't access without launching Photoshop on her Mac. They were scanned by me on an Epson as jpgs, then run through Photoshop (CS1) for touch-up and resaved as jpgs by me. Now I look under "get info" and see that they are all saved as "Photoshop Jpgs". this can be a big problem, as I intend to make a lot of discs for clients in the future. I don't want to have to tell them to use "Open with" every time they want to view a photo.

I looked around on the internet for professionally printed shirts(those are the same as iron on right?) and noticed that all the colors they used, it tends to be a little powdery looking, so I was guessing maybe that kind of colors look better in contrast with the shirts.
What I'm thinking of doing is just make the design's lineart on paper, scan, and color with photoshop. then preview and print on the transfer paper.

Apr 14, 2004I was out taking pics today and got one of a beautiful shelby cobra.
It's a still shot and I'm planning to make it look like it's in motion(panning effect, with blurred background).
I though it would look good with racing numbers and logos.
Does anyone no how to put a flat logo on a curved or contoured surface(make it look like it was really painted on the car)?
And would there be any copyright or trademark problem doing this?

Feb 19, 2003When I opened the file in Photoshop I think it was converted to a CYMK (I have no idea what that means...)file.
Anyway, so now I can see the logos on the .ai file but how do I extract them from that file so I can use them in my own design???
It seems like they're fixed on that layer...I can't move them around or copy/paste them...

It contains 3 variations of a logo stacked on top of each other, but i only want to use one of them (by placing it inside print files that are being set up in Indesign). Sep 6, 2013Ok so I am fairly new to illustrators but I have trained and used Photoshop for years and I have never had this problem. I am creating a logo in Illustrator and when I save it for web and upload it into facebook the image is completely pixelate. I have the document set for RGB at 72 PPI. I am using a web safe color and on screen in illustrator my image loogs perfectly clear. I have tried to save the document is several different file formats and nothing seems to work. I have watched several tutorials and read many documents and set up my document formats to match and it has not fixed the issue.Â

Apr 24, 2006Focus on the "night" in Knights and the "pioneer" in the second logo. Notice that the bottoms curve like they are going over an oval but the top stays even. How is this effect achieved? I'm sure it's more illustrator than photoshop.
