I am creating a book cover and the bottom of the page is a photo of vivid green grass.
No matter what color text I use, the text cannot be seen clearly. Is there a way to put a banner/box over part of the grass then type the text inside?
I am trying to get the text to curve around the blue banner its on.

The text cursor disappears when I try to enter it into the rectangle and when I place it on the edge of the rectangle, it rurns into a slanted "A" and allows texting on the border of the rectangle. Corel Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 (build date Sept 7, 2010). This software came with my new HP Pavilion dv7.

I can adjust the line width of the ribbon banner outline and the color of the banner outline without problems. I want the outline of the banner to be one color and the interior of the banner to be another...how do I color fill the inside of the banner?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have this strange situation.. i use the Arial font inside my cad drawings and when i print my paperspace layout, the text inside the viewport is a little bit more "bold" then the text i put directly on paper space.
Maybe it's a trick to know what text is placed where, but i want all this to be uniform, same thickness. Is there a system variable to correct that issue?

Up to COUPE C1 is the text inside the viewport, under COUPE C1is the paperspace text. Both are the same height... but difference tickness.
I am using Paint Shop Pro X - the last decent version that Corel made.
I haven't done anything artistic in Paint Shop Pro in a couple of years.
I am trying to put text in a balloon, on a photograph, to show what someone is saying.
Every single thing I try arranges the text along the outside of the balloon.
All three of my books on Paint Shop Pro X and Paint Shop Pro 9 (which is very similar), the help files, and everything I can find online, specifically discuss only how to put text along the outside of a shape, or along a curved line -even though the discussion topic and associated photos often clearly show cartoon text inside balloons in the normal manner.
One discussion does show specifically how to do it; unfortunately they are written for Paint Shop Pro 5 or something, and I don't get any such dialogue box to open when I click on either A thingy on either tool bar.
Specifically how DO I put text inside a balloon in the normal manner? By normal manner, I mean, like in this post.

I would like to draw a line,, curved.. and then type text on the page.. then cut and paste the text, letter by letter on the curved line that I drew.. then when done,, remove the line,, leaving just the text in the shape of the line that I drew.
A client brought in a family "forest" as she calls it, and requests us to recreate it for her. She wants us to update it every two years so I'm hoping there's an easy way to do this.
I need to have each generation in its individual "textbox" so that I can edit leading. If I combine each generation under one main name (1st gen through 5th gen) then the original leading would be impossible to recreate.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a type layer with some text in it (a headline, let's say). I click on the layer, I click on the Character Panel, and first thing I see is the color in the Panel is not the color of the font in the layer.
I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.
I am doing an e commerce page selling fairly traded products or eco things. obviously i need a logo and company name, which i am working on right now. this needs to go on a banner. the other things i'd like to have done are company statement "about us" terms and conditions postage prices and times rescheduled payment options Newsletter options.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am making a banner with a picture that is right justified and the remaining part of the banner a color I pull from the photo. I am also trying to make a gradient to smooth the photo into the background.
I am able to crop and re-size the photo. I create a New Layer, color pick and fill the background and my banner looks good. I then select the gradient tool and select Transparency mode. I click on the photo and the background color disappears and starts
showing the transparency checkerboard. I create the gradient and select another tool to deactivate it. After that my background color never reappears.
So my banner has a photo that fades into a blank area.
I've been fooling around with paint net to get acclimated. I know how to make rectangular banner - but I would like to make a banner that has rounded corners. Does paint net allow me to do that>?

Thought maybe it was just the preview so I saved the file as an animated gif. Opened it in Windows Picture Viewer, and it still did not work. I also tried the process in X5 without any successful result.

View 3 Replies View RelatedCreated 4' x 8' artwork in illustrator for a vinyl banner (w/my company logo, tagline & images). Saved file as a PDF and sent to printing company. Just received banner and everything looks great, except our Logo/tagline... they look grainy as if either it was a JPG or I'm thinking the logo/tagline did not link up and the low quality place holder printed? Either way, I'm trying to find out if it is something the printing company messed up or if it's something I messed up—and if it was my fault, how to avoid this in the future.
Logo with tagline was created in illustrator.I did not "Place" the logo & images in the banner file. Rather I opened the files in illustartor and "Drag & Dropped" them in the banner file.Converted the text of Logo with tagline to "outlines".Then saved as PDF from illustartor.
The picture below is hard to see, but you can really see it best at the top of the "t" as if it was cut out with a polygonal lasso tool.
(CORELDRAW X6.3) Today I tried to export a .jpg file (text file) for a banner that was 6ft x 18ft. The export function wouldn't allow the 18ft, but changed it to like 9ft.
Tried in same in X3 and had the same result.
I could export the file as a .pdf and it worked just fine.
The question is, is there a maximum export size?
I have inside every text,Mtext contents different text style like Arial_1 , Arial_2.
How i can give all the contents inside one style ? the normal procedure i will enter inside text to enter editing mode and changing text format style one by one. I want it once.
I want to save my routing of entering every text to change its content text style.
(Notice:select all from outside without editing mode will not do the job)
I am often using text within AutoCAD 2012. Here is what I do, look at the attachments:
1. Create the text using the mtext tool
2. Explode the text using the txtexp tool
But, when I explode the text, lines appear inside the text like in the image. I then have to explode the whole thing and delete these lines manually. Any tool or add-on to get around this annoyance every time I insert text.
