View 3 RepliesI'm using Win7 with LR4 and have dual monitors. When i switch to the second monitor in LR4 it then displays both LR4 windows on both monitors. In other words it just shows the same thing on each monitor.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with lightroom 4.2 crashing in develop when using two monitors. I cant seem to make it crash in any other module with both monitors active, or make it crash in develop with only one monitor. I have tried updating all drivers (graphics etc) along with uninstalling wacom tablet driver which I read somewhere could have an effect. My system is:
Â
WIndow 7 pro 64 bit
Â
nVidia GTX 285 1gb graphics card
Â
Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme motherboard
Â
12gb Corsair memory
Â
Core i7 975 Extreme processor

Have also tried clean install with just lightroom and cs6 but to no avail.
Does photoshop support dual monitors?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased new HP laptop 320/4g/2.6, Windows Vista, and have an additional Samsung Monitor - T240 24" - I will be using Photoshop CS3, switching from Photoshop Elements6, and would like to know how I get Photoshop to recognize that I am using two monitors. I am also using Lightroom 2.0 and have no problem displaying a photo on the Samsung with it. What am I missing in Photoshop?
View 8 Replies View Relatedrecently my 2nd monitor quit working in cs3. it works fine in LR2 and mail, but not photoshop. i run a mac pro w/leopard 10.5. this has brought my editing to a standstill.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have twin monitors set up the defualt way whereby they act as two seperate monitors for two seperate applications to be maximized in and such. Basically, what happenes, is if i put Photoshop onto the secondary monitor, and create a new canvas, or have an open one, it does somthing similar to this: (picture attatched). Any reason or way to stop this? It doesnt do it if i strech the program over both screens but thats not practical for the obvious fault left in the middle.
View 14 Replies View Relatedto go with a dual monitor set up. I am looking at the Diamond 9550, 128 MB card. With the rebate it comes to a more than reasonable $69.00. Is anyone using this card? I would appreciate any comments from those of you that use a double dual monitors set up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an extra monitor and I would like to use Photoshop with 2 monitors. The dual video cards vary in cost from 50 -400 dollars. Since I am not a professional I certainly don't need a state of the art set up. I have searched this forum and have been unable to find any useful information although I do remember that some pass treads did discuss this topic.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm losing my mind trying to work on IllyCS6 with dual monitors. when i switch around between programs on different monitors, Illustrator seems to mistakenly think I am dragging it from one screen to another and it keeps jumping back and forth.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI read something about a fellow who uses the 6x8 Wacom on his wide screen monitor, but had to adjust the position of his image so he could access the whole image with the Wacom. (I think he was lamenting about not springing for the 6x11 Wide Format Wacom instead of 6x8, which would have covered his whole screen surface.)
My concern is that neither the 6x8 nor 6x11 will work "well" for me on dual monitors. I usually have the main Ps window with editing image on one monitor, and the palettes on the second monitor. (I do this with Illustrator and Fireworks as well.) I'm concerned that I'll be stuck with "use the mouse to access palettes" / "use the Wacom to draw", wasting my time switching between the two, and benefiting little from either.
IThis was pulled from the Mac forum (URl....), however I am having the exact same problem on a PC running CS5.
Â
When I "let go" of the "work area" window on the LCD monitor it rather visibly changes the color tonality (so much so that white turns yellow). When I release the image, why is Photoshop altering the color space - when other programs display evenly across the monitors? Am I to assume that releasing the image triggers the second monitors profile? Maybe I simply need to use the same profile for both monitors (which would be strange because this was a problem before I assigned any, and is still a problem after running calibration)?
Â
I've been using Photoshop for years and never encountered this before, however this is the first time I've added a LCD monitor into the mix, as my old Viewsonic finally died. I will be replacing the other monitor with a LCD in the near future, it will be interesting to see if the problem magically resolves (assuming I can't figure it out in the meantime)
Â
It would have made more sense to simply be able to flag a post as pertaining to both operating systems, and thereby have it appear in both threads. That way you're not burdening everyone with threads that do not apply, and you're not losing all of the old threads (which are now read-only for some reason).
Is there a way, when using dual monitors, to move the whole CS6 frame to either monitor? Right now it's just cemented to my left monitor, and I want it on the right.

When I section a view and edit the hatches, the 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window always opens off-screen. Â I have changed the settings in the GPU control panel to have everything open on the last window, but this window will not abide. Â I move the window to the Inventor window (monitor 2), but it will re-open back to monitor 1 in the exact same position every time.
The 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window seems to be the only window that does this in Inventor. Â Attached is a screen cap of the issue. Â The window opens in the same place each time.

I've been running dual monitors (22" and a 18") for a while, but I just upgraded to a larger second monitor (now both 22"). Before, I left AutoCAD running in the main monitor, but now I've switched it to run in the second monitor instead. Now AutoCAD will not remember the position or size of the Open and Save dialog boxes while it is in the second monitor. Sometimes it throws them back into the main monitor and other times they show up in the second but without the resize I did previously.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been comparing the embedded JPEG images with ones generated using the various profiles supplied with Lightroom. I expected the embedded JPEG to "agree" with the one generated using Camera Standard but that has not been the case with Nikon D700 and Nikon V1 files. I am now wondering if my expectations are too high.
Â
A possible difficulty in making the comparisons is not knowing what control slider settings and Tone Curve I should use. What is the correct procedure?
I have LR 4.3 and now 5. how to display and compare more than two images in same time, including 100% view. I can with "Together" or some word alike. (Ensemble in the French version), but I cannot zoom all images together at 100%. This is only possible in the "comparison" module but for only 2 images at a time…
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this is wrong. In LR5.3 while in Survey or Compare modes when I assign a pick or reject flag to a "more selected" image the rest get tagged as well. I'm certain that is not right, that those modes are different than when multiple images are in the Gallery and limit flags to the most selected image. Given the purpose of Survey/Compare is entirely based on flagging individual images from a group. Just started happening.
Â
Did I accidentally change a configuration option somewhere and, if so, how do I correct? Or is this just a flakey bug?Â
I have a modest collection [19,500] that has a good number of same images but in different folders; need a way to find these duplicates based on image only [not by metadada, nor by file name, etc.].
Â
Like an image recognotion function that could take a selected JPG and then scan the collection and ID any duplicates and where located.
Â
Chasing these down manually is mission impossible; big issue is that same photo has different name in different folders.
i started my first project in lightroom, and i use to change the look of my images in the development section every day again (a bit here, a bit there).
Â
when i press before/after, LR5 only shows the version i did yesterday and the one from now, today, how can i see the unedited version of the image, which i imported last week?
Is it possible to split the window in LR4 horizontal when using the compare tool?
I would like to compare panoramas and it is quite difficult with a vertical splitting.
So, this might be a silly question. I have lightroom on one monitor and when I drag it over (the program window) to my other monitor it pops (changes color) after about 1/2 a second. There is a shift in color. I'm wondering if it is the monitors ICC profile or something weird like that? Both of my monitors are samsungs (different models) and they are both using the Samsung natural color profile.Â
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use two monitors while editing and in the past I was able to edit in Lightroom on the left monitor and do other things on the right (ie. email, netflix etc...) Now Lightroom wants to use my right monitor to show me a preview of whatever picture I am working on. I cannot manage to override this and turn the preview off. Is it something within the program or do I need to change something in my control panel?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis may be related to other imported catalog bugs, but does not seem to be quite the same. In Lightroom 4, with an upgraded Lightroom 3 catalog:
Â
1. Select a photo in Library mode.
2. Click on Develop to go to Develop mode
Â
Screen shows "No photo selected". I cannot edit photos in Develop mode.
Â
I can see and edit photos that are found in smart collections, but not photos that are simply in my collections from 2012, 2011, etc. folders
I noticed a "focus" problem using dual screen. When i activate the "Loupe" (1:1 mode)Â view on the 2nd screen, and i browse my pictures in the developp module (using the film strip and arrows on keyboard for example). The view on the 2nd screen is not displayed as sharp as it should be.
If i touch the detail slider (change the value and make it back to its previous value) the picture is update correctly (sharp) . Do not happen when i use the loupe in "one screen mode".
1-When shooting tethered, is there a way to have it place the incoming raw files in two locations at once? Such as on an external as well as the internal drive for backup purposes?
Â
2-When I plug the camera in (D300s), Windows 7 sees the camera almost instantly. However, Lightroom takes a minute and 30 seconds before it sees it to allow tethered shooting.
Does LR 5 handle a dual monitor setup with different aspect ratios (16:9 and 16:10)?
Â
I'm planing to buy a 27" 16:9 monitor and use it as primary together with a 22" 16:10.
I have Ulead Media Studio Pro on my old desktop, that runs Windows XP, but my laptop has Windows 7, so now I need another program. I was thinking about getting Video studio Pro X5, but how does it compare to MSP? I don't really want to lear a whole new setup/ interface, etc. I already have Adobe Premiere, but I can't figure out how to use it. I was hoping that VSP would have most of the features of MSP and be just as easy to use, so I don't have to learn a whole new program. So is it similar to use? what features from MSP are not included in VSP X5?
