Photoshop :: Wacom Tablet And Dual Monitors

Sep 5, 2008

I read something about a fellow who uses the 6x8 Wacom on his wide screen monitor, but had to adjust the position of his image so he could access the whole image with the Wacom. (I think he was lamenting about not springing for the 6x11 Wide Format Wacom instead of 6x8, which would have covered his whole screen surface.)

My concern is that neither the 6x8 nor 6x11 will work "well" for me on dual monitors. I usually have the main Ps window with editing image on one monitor, and the palettes on the second monitor. (I do this with Illustrator and Fireworks as well.) I'm concerned that I'll be stuck with "use the mouse to access palettes" / "use the Wacom to draw", wasting my time switching between the two, and benefiting little from either.

Photoshop :: Difference Between Wacom Bamboo Create Tablet And A Wacom Intuos

I'm looking to get a wacom tablet, but I'm not really sure what tablet it best for digital art and animation type stuff. I'll be using it with Photoshop CS6 and probably Toon Boom or some other animation software. I'm just not sure what the difference is between the tablets.

Photoshop :: Dual Monitors

I have recently purchased new HP laptop 320/4g/2.6, Windows Vista, and have an additional Samsung Monitor - T240 24" - I will be using Photoshop CS3, switching from Photoshop Elements6, and would like to know how I get Photoshop to recognize that I am using two monitors. I am also using Lightroom 2.0 and have no problem displaying a photo on the Samsung with it. What am I missing in Photoshop?

Photoshop :: Dual Monitors With PS CS4

Apr 13, 2009

I have twin monitors set up the defualt way whereby they act as two seperate monitors for two seperate applications to be maximized in and such. Basically, what happenes, is if i put Photoshop onto the secondary monitor, and create a new canvas, or have an open one, it does somthing similar to this: (picture attatched). Any reason or way to stop this? It doesnt do it if i strech the program over both screens but thats not practical for the obvious fault left in the middle.

Photoshop :: Setting Up Dual Monitors

to go with a dual monitor set up. I am looking at the Diamond 9550, 128 MB card. With the rebate it comes to a more than reasonable $69.00. Is anyone using this card? I would appreciate any comments from those of you that use a double dual monitors set up.

Photoshop :: Setting Up Dual Monitors

Feb 19, 2006

I have an extra monitor and I would like to use Photoshop with 2 monitors. The dual video cards vary in cost from 50 -400 dollars. Since I am not a professional I certainly don't need a state of the art set up. I have searched this forum and have been unable to find any useful information although I do remember that some pass treads did discuss this topic.

Photoshop :: Dual Monitors / ICC Profiles - Color Management

Feb 9, 2012

IThis was pulled from the Mac forum (URl....), however I am having the exact same problem on a PC running CS5.

When I "let go" of the "work area" window on the LCD monitor it rather visibly changes the color tonality (so much so that white turns yellow). When I release the image, why is Photoshop altering the color space - when other programs display evenly across the monitors? Am I to assume that releasing the image triggers the second monitors profile? Maybe I simply need to use the same profile for both monitors (which would be strange because this was a problem before I assigned any, and is still a problem after running calibration)?

I've been using Photoshop for years and never encountered this before, however this is the first time I've added a LCD monitor into the mix, as my old Viewsonic finally died. I will be replacing the other monitor with a LCD in the near future, it will be interesting to see if the problem magically resolves (assuming I can't figure it out in the meantime)

It would have made more sense to simply be able to flag a post as pertaining to both operating systems, and thereby have it appear in both threads. That way you're not burdening everyone with threads that do not apply, and you're not losing all of the old threads (which are now read-only for some reason).

Lightroom :: 4.2 Crashes In Develop Module With Dual Monitors

Oct 18, 2012

I'm having problems with lightroom 4.2 crashing in develop when using two monitors. I cant seem to make it crash in any other module with both monitors active, or make it crash in develop with only one monitor. I have tried updating all drivers (graphics etc) along with uninstalling wacom tablet driver which I read somewhere could have an effect. My system is:

WIndow 7 pro 64 bit

nVidia GTX 285 1gb graphics card

Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme motherboard

12gb Corsair memory

Core i7 975 Extreme processor

Have also tried clean install with just lightroom and cs6 but to no avail.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Editing Hatch Window Off-screen On Dual Monitors

Dec 18, 2013

Info:

OS: Windows 7 Pro
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @4.2ghz
GPU: Nvidia Quadro K4000
Monitors: Dual Asus 24" 1920x1080
Memory: 16gb
GPU Control Panel: Nvidia Version 331.65 for Quadro K4000
Autodesk Platform: Product Design Suite 2014

When I section a view and edit the hatches, the 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window always opens off-screen.  I have changed the settings in the GPU control panel to have everything open on the last window, but this window will not abide.  I move the window to the Inventor window (monitor 2), but it will re-open back to monitor 1 in the exact same position every time.

The 'Edit Hatch Pattern' window seems to be the only window that does this in Inventor.  Attached is a screen cap of the issue.  The window opens in the same place each time.

OS: Windows 7 Pro
CPU: AMD FX-8350 @4.2ghz

I went to the Wacom sit as well to check to if my drivers are updated and they are, and called their support as well with no results.  I understand that PS6 is a new product and that I may have to wait for patches, that is fine.

Photoshop :: Wacom Tablet?

Jun 18, 2008

I use my Wacom Saphire CTE 430 for all my software. Recently I decided to move from Corel PhotoPaint to CS3. However, I am experiencing a very strange problem. If I use the mouse none of the photo shop paint tools work. If I use the pen the paint tools work but others do not. At first I thought is was my ignorance of PS and that I just needed to configure something. I eventually discovered that if I disconnect the tablet Photoshop works fine. I have downloaded and installed the latest Wacom Vista drivers as suggested by Wacom but it has not fixed the problem. PS is the ONLY program experiencing problems with the tablet. I run AutoCad 2008, Sketchup Pro and CorelDRAW X3 suite and they work flawlessly.

Photoshop :: Wacom Tablet

Jun 12, 2008

I'm currently using Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP with an Wacom Intuos 3 tablet.

The problem I'm having is that when I use the tablet pen to click anywhere in
Photoshop, the cursor essentially locks in place and does not move. On the canvas, this means I can only place dots. This happens whether I'm clicking on tools, scrollbars, etc...

I used to be able to use it fine in CS2, but then it stopped working on day, and I thought that maybe upgrading would solve the issue. However, this has just left me with the same issue.

The pen does work normally in all other programs, such as in MS Paint or when clicking and dragging to select icons on the desktop. Also, clicking and dragging with a mouse works normally.

Photoshop :: Wacom Tablet Not Working In CS4

Dec 14, 2008

I have Wacom Bamboo Fun with latest drivers, use Vista 64 and run PS in 64bit mode. I uninstalled CS3 before installing CS4. The tablet worked in CS3 as expected, but CS4 ignored pen pressure - it always worked like mouse - with maximum pressure. In order to fix this problem I uninstalled and reinstalled Wacom drivers and cleared PS preferences by starting PS with Alt-Ctrl-Shift. Now Photoshop ignores the tablet completely - the cursor won't move and I need to use mouse to navigate in Photoshop.

Photoshop :: Wacom Pen Tablet Issues In CS4

Nov 25, 2008

Well, I just hooked up my old Bamboo tablet (the medium size) and downloaded
the new drivers. The reports of issues with the pen tablet are well founded.
For me I have several issues...

1. If you press to hard on the pen you get this animated ring and then a
brush adjustment dialog pops up. I hate this thing but can't figure out how
to turn it off. If this is supposed to be useful it isn't at least not for
me, it is so annoying. I don't know if this is a Photoshop thing or a Wacom
thing but I hate it. If anyone knows of a way to turn this off please let me
know.

2. The brush is very choppy when you are painting, etc. What I have noticed
however is that as you paint even if you never pull the pen from the tablet
surface Photoshop is creating dozens of history states as it does this
Photoshop must be doing something with memory or scratch space because it is
during the rapid creation of history states that it causes the pen to pause
making it seem choppy. I have no idea why Adobe would set it up this way.
When I create a single stroke no matter how much area I cover that should be
one history state and not dozens.

Photoshop :: CS5 Brush With Wacom Intuos 3 Tablet

Feb 26, 2012

My Intuos 3 tablet and pen do not perform correctly using CS5. The same machine, using the same tablet and pen and the same brush, with CS3  and Corel Painter function correctly so I am assuming it's CS5 that's the problem. The brush seems to set an anchor point where the pen first contacts the tablet, then no matter where you draw with the brush nothing happens until the pen is lifted, then a straight line is drawn from the anchor point to the point where the pen lifted. Problem is with CS5 x32 and x64 both. Happens every brush stroke. Mouse works fine. Reset the preference file. Upgraded drivers for the tablet. The machine is an HP, quad core processor, 8 GB ram, with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics card. The machine came loaded with Vista 64 and I upgraded to Windows 7 at the time I installed CS5.

Photoshop :: Wacom Tablet And Whole Screen Image

Jun 21, 2008

I have wandered around the web and found numerous sites with sample drawings using the Wacom in PS. When the demonstrators are doing their bit, they use the whole of the screen for their efforts, even moving up and down into seemingly hidden areas when the drawing requires more space.

May I ask, how can I, when using my Wacom, ensure that I can use the whole of the screen, and not just a part of it. At the moment I select 'New,' and a certain size of paper, which never covers the whole screen and certainly will not permit me to draw beyond the paper limits.
