I went to develop a photo yesterday, and suddenly noticed the Develop "Basic" column (has Treatment: Color, B/W, then White Balance, then Presence...all the stuff between toNE CUrVE and Crop/Red eye, etc. I can't imagine what I accidently hit to make this disappear, but I have once again tried Lr Help, touched everywhere on the screen and can't seem to restore this part of develop. It happened once before when I lost the "Regions" on the tone curve. All I had to do was click the little box to the right, and it got restored. I don't see anything like this for the Basic section, tho'.
the basic column in the develop section of lightroom is not there, I tried the advice to right click (ctrl button on my computer) on one of the headings, but nothing showed up.
Noticed that the Dynamic Blocks in the Annotation Tool Palette are missing? Let me rephrase that, in the Tool palette they show up, but the dwg's that they reference are missing. I have 4 users that are currently testing Civil 3D 2013 and all of them are missing the files.
I am using LR5 and my Quick Develop Module is missing. My photos are online and so this is not the problem. I rebooted but still no Quick Develop Module. I can use the other modules.
I am missing the detail tab in the develop module of LR 4 (version 4.3). How do I get it back?
Everything else is as it should be but when I recently wanted to eliminate some noise and sharpen an image I noticed this tab was gone and I can swear it was there before. Should be before the lens correction tab (on right hand panel of the develop module). BTW, although I do not think it has any bearing on this, I just started using an iMacPro w/retina display.
I don't know how I did it, but the controls on the window in the develop module for exposure, contrast, clarity, black, white points etc are gone. I cannot currently adjust them for overall image edit. They only pop up if I use the gradient tool etc. I don't know what I did that they are missing. how to get them back on the panel. These are the controls above the curve that let you adjust for overall edits not the tool specific ones.
I've been using LR since May '13. I originally used LR4, then upgraded to 5 on my iMac. A few days ago when using the Develop Module, the right side of the screen is missing. On the right are the tools and panels for making global and local adjustments to a photo. Gone. I've tried to control-click on develop across the top of the screen.
I just upgraded to LR 5 from 4. Shortly after starting to use it, I noticed Tone Curves, Details and Effects are all missing in the Develop mode. I re- downloaded and installed with no return of the missing tools. How do I get them back.
Looking for the Camera Calibration palette in LR 5, its not present. It has probably been missing ever since the upgrade from LR 4. In LR4 I had installed some camera profiles from Huelight. I'm not sure if this is related to the missing palette.
I am trying to get an extra column of grid to the left of my sections. Is this a way to do this? Do I need to have white space in this area and not a grid?

For some reason, the tool palette I usually use is not accessible. I opened a drawing that a co-worker was using and my tool palette now looks like an old version - it doesn't have any of my custom tools in it. How do I get back my tool palette??
Using LR5 on my MacBook Pro I have recently lost the "basic" and "colour" pallets from thr right hand side in the Develop Module. How can I get them back?
I have blocks forming a column, and I need to allow the user to select the top block of the column but return the bottom left corner of bounding box of the bottom block in the column.

I'm not exactly sure where my code is failing but I get the following error.
The main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).
trying to upgrade my PS skills and working thru a PS CS book. I am working on a Layer session. The books shows a column that they call Layer Link mode. I is just to the right of the Visibility column.
Yesterday I installed LR5 on my desktop and when I went to use the visualize spot tool it was missing. After trying to find the problem, also trying to figure out how to get a hold of Adobe support, I decided to uninstall LR5 and, naturally re-installed it but I still had the same problem. I decided to install LR5 on my laptop and, lo and behold, there was the spot visualization tool. Lightroom does not run well there, it barely a half step above a net book. But the difference between the upgrades is this: on the desk top the upgrade was from LR4.4 while on the laptop the upgrade was fr LR3.6.
