I'm looking for the function to retrieve User Profile from LR 4.2, it's because I'm using some LTM or non-6bit Lens. If I can get User Profile, then I know what kind of Lens I used for the picture.

I've looked at many posts for getting block attributes, but they either seem to assume I already have the Blockreference, or they give a prompt to the user. I'm hoping to avoid both of those.
I know the info I need is inside of a blockTable by the name of "DET".

Is there a way to clear all Photoshop CC from a user profile? it must be the first try. Any other user related problem with printing in Photoshop?
We use multiple Acad setups here. When one user switches between programs, his profile does not fully set in the newly opened program. Some toolbars are not loaded, some are. Another error that crops up is the search paths get lost on occasion. As the computer boots, if autocad is loaded before the network drives have been connected all the paths revert to the C: drive. Why is this issue cropping up so frequently? What would cause a partial profile load?

As a User, when I work with a web site file, I have to republish locally all pages every time I open the file. It does not remember where I stored my preview. I am hoping that by running as administrator that will no longer be necessary. (My website file built in XWD6 moved to XDP6 and moved to XDP7 ends in .xar not .web)

It relates to machines which often have different users. I can get ACADM2011 to run for that user by editing the registry and importing keys from a good profile then modifying to user the new users credentials. This is Ok for a fudge fix but not suitable as a final solutions as I have to roll out 2011 to another 90 machines.
All users have full admin rights through a group policy so that is not part of the issue.
What I have noticed is that on machine which will work as expected the secondary installer runs in two steps. The first being the AutoCAD Mechanical 2011 install and then the language pack install. On machines which will fail and have the Profile issue only the language pack install runs. Where does ACAD look to check which causes this first install part to be skipped?

Slowly but surely my OSX environment is being extricated from the absolute lunacy that every file used by any application had to reside on the machine's root drive. Adobe Premiere Pro, for example, created a $USER/Documents/Adobe subdirectory where it stored my profile information. I attempted to move that profile information to a network drive and to use an alias to point $USER/Documents/Adobe at $NETWORK_DRIVE/Adobe. Now Adobe Premiere Pro CC crashes on startup. I have attempted to trash my preference (deleting the 7.0 subfolder of the Adobe/Premiere Pro folder).
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe loaded up C3D 2013 a month or so ago. I exported my user profile (Options>Profiles>Export) from C3D 2012 and loaded it into 2013. Now the profile will not stay loaded. I have to reload it every time I startup C3D. It also doesn't hold my view cube settings or my panes.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'd like it if Paint.net's plugin folders were under the user profile, inside AppData.
Currently, the default method of trying new plugins is a bit of a pain, since every time you copy or delete the plugins, you have to go throug UAC.
Personally, I have made a symlink from under Paint.net's folder to my profile, but this only works on single-user machines. Additionally, every time I update Paint.net, I have to remake the symlink because the updater replaces it with a normal folder.
We had to migrate from one domain to annother on our network. This meant that each user had to create a new profile.
Before we migrated I tried to back up the user data from the old user but once I am up an running agian all the AutoCad settings are no longer included. I understand you can export those while you are logged in and can see the macros etc. can you simply move the files that store that information (I can still access all the files from that user I just can't login as that user anymore)

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use an iMac, Lion OS and Lightroom3. I store all my photo files (approx. 50,000) on a Drobo RAID system. Apple replaced my iMac HD. I connected an external 750GB G-Drive for Time Machine back-up. Since there was not sufficient memory on the G-Drive, I set the Time Maching to ignore my Picures. After moving the pictures over to the Drobo and deleting the Pictures on the iMac HD, my Lightroom files went missing. I used the Locate File option to find one of the missing files. Before I initiated this, the folder in the library showed 640 files. After locating the missing file, the folder shows 0 files. The missing file is now showing and available.

I have the computer running again now but I dont have any of my Loghtroom edits. I was advised to get a .lrc (or something) file but that only had a copy of the very first backup that I did. View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Development module in LR4.4, viewing a Fuji X100s raw file (converted on import to DNG) I tick the box for "Enable Profile Corrections" under "Lens Corrections," and select "Auto" from the "Setup" menu. I would have thought that LR would pick up the X100s profile, but no, nothing happens. If I choose "Fujifilm" from the "Make" dropdown, I can find the X100 (not X100s) profile manually. The profile's probably pretty similar, but still, I'm wondering why my install of 4.4 doesn't have the X100s profile in place?
While I'm at it, I'll ask this too -- I recently bought the new Nikkor 35mm 1.8G ED (the new full frame 35mm Nikon lens, not the trusty 35mm 1.8DX) and there's no profile for that lens in my LR4.4 either.
Finally, I note that when I choose "Check for Updates" from the "Help" menu in LR, I'm told there are no updates available.
How to try to retrieve a corrupt lrcat file. My lrcat file AND its backup are BOTH corrupt, and will not open. They are visible. I have an iMac, OS 10.6, LR 3.3, just upgraded to 3.5 today when I started having trouble accessing LR. I've been away for 6 weeks, but the rest of the computer works fine. There have been almost no changes/writes done to the HD since my last LR backup (and idiotic deletion of additional b.u. catalogs that were only a couple of months old. A trial version of Data Rescue II found erased files on my HD from years ago but it does not find those older LR b.u. erased files.)

View 7 Replies View RelatedDownloaded the BLURB color profile and installed to the system. Restarted LR and it did not appear in the other list for color profiles. I checked and found the profile in c:/Windows/System32/spool/drivers/color. I tried coping the file to c:/ProgramFile(x86)/CommonFiles/Adobe/Color/Profiles/Recommended. Restarted LR and still no BRURB icc shows up in the list. I also noticed there were other profiles in these directories which do not show up in the list. What am I doing wrong? Is there another menu which controls the "other..." list?

Cleaning up my photo directory, i started consolidating and moving folders around in my HDD. However in doing so, I also accidently removed one of the 'catalog folder' in my Lightroom (so the original photos are still there in the physical folder, but i can't see it anymore in Lightroom). Now if I try to import the folder back into Lightroom, all my developed settings are lost (i.e. everything reverts back to the original settings).
I tried using the Find Missing Photos function and the Sychronize Folder function, both does not work with my problem. Unfortunately, my catalog backup is also a week old, so that wouldn't have my recently developed settings?
Any way to retrieve the removed catalog folder with all the previously developed settings?
After getting Vault installed on our server and successfully setting up users and connections, I used the Library Transfer Guide to move our Content Center (including custom) to the Vault. I then changed the Inventor Application Options -> Content Center -> Access Options to Autodesk Vault Server.
This seems to have worked, as I can Place from Content Center when in an assembly, and it is pulling standard content as well as our custom files properly from the vault. However, in the instructions that I used for the installlation, it was suggested to stick with a standard folder structure within the Vault, namely two Library Folders named 'Content Center Files' and 'Libraries' and also a regular folder named 'Designs'.
I created those folders prior to transferring the library, as I thought they would be populated with the standard/custom content. This was not the case and I am curious when these folders come into play? *they are empty*
Also, today I will be attempting to 'Check In' a project to the Vault that I recently completed; does this usually maintain structural relationships between files?
Would you recommend using a single project structure in vault for two people? It seems, since we won't be working on the same project at the same time, having a single project would not be relavant to our situation..

Today I'm trying to sort for a web gallery in a collection, as I always have done, and cannot sort. User Sort is selected when I move a picture, the black bar appears where it should, but when I release the mouse, the picture goes bact to where it was. I have tried deleting preferences, and restarted several times.
