How to change my import presets back to default or none. I changed it on a photo and now my pics are all yellow. How to change. I reset and it still does it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to change my default import location on my MAC Pro Tower, to one of the internal HD's. I have named the HD Photo Location, and have created a folder in it called it "My Lightroom Photos". I have been able to create this, but cannot seem to ber able to make it my default when I open LR 3.5. I have to manually go in and change it. Is there a way that this can be changed to make it my default?

That seems like it should be a preference but I can find no way to make this change.
How can I tell LR to import to a new destination drive? I found a similar question for LR 3 a couple of years ago, which says in the import dialog box, choose destination. That doesn't seem to be there now. In any case, I want LR to import to the new destination all the time, not just as a one-off. My HD is full and I can't keep moving files manually.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm buying a lot of presets from designers and also create a lot by my own. So not to loose the overview I want to delete those which I don't need. For example all the default ones (Lightroom Effect Presets, Lightroom Video Presets...). I tried to delete the template folder in finder, but then it shows an error at the next startup. If I just delete the subfolders, then the folders within Lightroom still appear on the panel, just the presets within are gone.

I just loaded Lightroom 4 education edition, but can't figure out why I can't see all the presets in the develop module. In fact, while I can see the various categories, I can't see any of the default presets.

I have been watching tutorials, and playing around with it, and I have found that the default presets are only on the right side panel in library. On the left panel in develop the heading presets shows up but when I click on the triangle nothing shows up under them. I did see a question already on here to right click on the heading and check it which I did a few times just to see if it would work and nothing.

View 5 Replies View Relatedjust upgraded from 2004 to 2012. Wow, sure looks different.I'm playing around with the ribbon & don't know how to stop an annoying behavior. I position the ribbon locked to the side of my display because I have a wide screen & if docked to the top I end up with a very wide, skinny drawing area. when ever I make a change tp the ribbon contents it goes back to the default top position, after which I have to relocate it again. Is there a way to get it to remember the previous position of the ribbon?

I am now needing to use a different laptop. I downloaded LR5 to the new machine, activated it with my serial number and tried to import my favortie presets, but I get an error message with all of the saying"the template file is the wrong type of template"
When I try to import presets in LR3/Develop, the template files are not visible to select even though they are definitely listed where I stored them on my computer. I recently upgraded my computer and am now using Window 7 instead of Windows XP. Neither new downloads nor old downloads are visible. Why doesn't LR recognize them? Does 64-bit vs 32-bit make a difference?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi recently updated to 5.3 and everything was great, just like normal.. then after an import of raw files, i selected one to develop and went to look for my "exposure" slider on the right side of the screen. it has disappeared??? i also am missing my simple saturation slider too. now i have an extremely indepth saturation sliders for every color. i have tried to reset tool settings, i have searched around, i even reinstalled lightroom hoping i would get it back to what i am used to...
is there a preference file that i can delete to get me back to 100% default settings?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2x user presets (one for each of 2x camera's), which I use to apply to images on Import.
When moving a catalog from my laptop (rMPB) to the desktop (iMac) (created of just one image folder), using the export / import catalog routine, these presets just list as "unavailable preset" in the Develop Status metadata sorting options in the library module.
I have exported these presets from the laptop and imported them to the desktop and then re- exported/imported the catalog but the results are the same. Is there a way for these presets to be recognized and sorted by correctly when importing a catalog?
I would like to send images from LR3 to Photoshop Elements 10 for editing and would like the copy sent to PSE 10 to be distinguished from the original by having 'Edit' added to the end. I believe LR3 does this by default (have been reading Scott Kelby's book) but I must have done something to change this and don't know how to get back to this default.
Also at the end of doing some editing, the instructions in Scott kelby's book, are very clear, just press Command-S to save the image and Command-W to close it. He's very specific about not doing anything else like choose 'Save As'. But when I pressed Command-S, a box appeared and I had to choose Save As or Cancel. Is that because his instructions work with full Photoshop but not Elements 10 or am I just not understanding something fundamental here?
I am trying to create some export presets, but LR wont allow me to create any that export to Hard Drive. They all change when I hit "Add" to Email. I go and try to update with current settings, but they all keep reverting to Email and not Hard Drive.
Lightroom 4.4, btw.
I have my catalog and photos on my D drive. I notice that sometimes photos that I import also appear on my C drive. All I have been able to learn is that there is an option for backing up imports but I cannot find an option to disable this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been working on my macbook pro for years now exporting files from LR into PS, doing my edits, then saving and having the file automatically import back into LR.
I just upgraded to an iMac and have everything set up, but, now, when I do the EXACT same process, I recieve the error "Could not save as "IMG_1445.tif" because write access was not granted." when trying to save my file in Photoshop.
If it has anything to do with it...I also get an error before exporting from LR: "This version of Lightroom may require the Photoshop Camera Raw Plug-in version 7.4 for full compatibility"
I checked my software and it is up to date.
