I bougth Lightroom 5 in July. I was able to import some fun presets and use them to great effect.
I am now needing to use a different laptop. I downloaded LR5 to the new machine, activated it with my serial number and tried to import my favortie presets, but I get an error message with all of the saying"the template file is the wrong type of template"
I can not import presets in LR 5.
The right trackpad button doesn't give any result when I click on 'users presets' (gebruikersvoorinstellingen)
I downloaded the Lightroom 4 purchased from Adobe. I can't seem to find many of the presets here, also can't import more presets into Lightroom..

I recently upgraded my computer and am now using Window 7 instead of Windows XP. Neither new downloads nor old downloads are visible. Why doesn't LR recognize them? Does 64-bit vs 32-bit make a difference?

When moving a catalog from my laptop (rMPB) to the desktop (iMac) (created of just one image folder), using the export / import catalog routine, these presets just list as "unavailable preset" in the Develop Status metadata sorting options in the library module.
I have exported these presets from the laptop and imported them to the desktop and then re- exported/imported the catalog but the results are the same. Is there a way for these presets to be recognized and sorted by correctly when importing a catalog?
I am having trouble getting my presets to show up under presets on the left hand side of the screen. They are still in develop presets but there not showing up and Ive tried deleting them and adding them again then closing out of lightroom 4 and going back in but I can not seem to get them to show up again. I must have hit something but there not showing up again

Do you know which folder they should be in (indise the Lightroom Presets folder)

I've read the FAQs, done the Import Presets, the pop-up box says they have been imported, I've re-started CS6, but there are still only the default sets. I looked at:- Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Presets, it is there, but has 0 bytes.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to print in Elements 11, after clicking "Print/Page Setup/Presets/Show Presets", the box freezes. Clicking Cancel or OK does not work. I then have to Force Quit Elements to clear it. Apple say that it is a problem with Elements. Using the same procedure in other applications, clicking Cancel or OK does work.

When LR5.3 opened at the end of the process, all of my Import, Export, or Develop presets were gone. all of those folders are empty (for example C:UsersmePicturesLightroomLightroom SettingsDevelop PresetsUser Presets shows "This folder is empty"), and when i open LR 4.4 (the previous install), the presets are gone as well.

I have transferred everything over to the new computer, and have "installed" the purchased Presets in question (Kevin Kubota Vintage Delish). As far as I can tell, the installation went smoothly and successful, however, when I run LR4, there are still no Presets to choose from.
How do I move presets from LR 2 to LR 4 ?
