Lightroom :: Repeatedly Receiving A Dialog Box Saying - Searching For Missing Clip
Jan 23, 2014
In Lightroom 3, I am attempting to import and repeatedly receiving a dialogue box saying "searching for missing clip" I can not cancel out of this box. When I attempt to quit Lr, it freezes. This cycle is happening repeatedly. When I do forcequit Lr, the dialog box remains on my desktop.
Whenever i select a pic in organizer i allways get message "searching for missing files" when i want to fix the pic and can not get beyond this point. Tried import from card reader but the result is exactly the same.
when trying to edit an image I keep getting a message that says it is trying find the image - even though it is already open in the organiser space. - It says it is searching for a missing file!
I always click on the arrow next to a certain keyword in order to filter my photo results down to just that keyword. How can I search for images based on two keywords? So maybe I want to search for all images of keyword "Bob" with his dog keyword "Charlie." When I click on the second arrow it deselects the first one.
It is important that a "catalog" or database is easy to search by complex queries. So, for example, if I want to know what images I entered in the state fair in 2011 and am trying to enter in the state fair again in 2012, I'd like to be able to search on something like:
keyword "state fair" and "2011" and "2012".since I have a "state fair" keyword with "2011" and "2012" as children.
In Bridge this is trivial since you can build criteria. How do I do this in LR? The only way I've been able to do this so far is to add a second keyword column to the library filter bar and fiddle around that way. It's pretty clumsy.
OR, for example, I want to see which 11x14 (or 14x11) images I have, that have NOT been used for a specific club competition..I'd want all the filenames that contain "11" AND "14" AND "x" and do NOT contain a keyword "xyz"
Since this one requires both keywords AND multiple pieces from the filename, I haven't figured out how to put this together in Lightroom.
How do I search for a collection name using the library filter? Or through a different search tool? I am hoping that I can just type in the collection name to have it be brought up or highlighted for easy access.
I paid a lot of money for this software which was supposed to come with a library of clipart, photos, etc. I have exactly ZERO and I cannot get any support on why that is.
I am running 2012 and my group dialog box is nowhere to be found. (I opened 2011 and the dialog box pops up)
I just get a command prompt to select objects or [Name/Description]: -group gets me command line as usual. I enter a lot of legal descriptions and set them as various named groups for boundary analysis. Selecting the various groups via dialog is much easier. I have checked system variables but I cannot find anything I need to change. I have searched the discussion groups also but could not find any info.

In AutoCad 2006, when I want to open a new or existing drawing or template, instead of regular dialog box I receive only a prompter dialog which is present in the command line also, asking me for the name of the drawing that I want to open; it is the case also when I want to save a drawing too. I already checked the "Options" under the "Open and Save" tab and everything looks to be in order. How can I resolve this bothering problem since I am able to perform the above tasks only accessing "Windows explorer"?
I am unable to coax the Object Scale dialog box to appear. Typing OBJECTSCALE and invoking the Add/Delete Scales command via Annotate on the ribbon do nothing. I looked in the CUI and everything appears normal with the command and macro. I have attempted to see if the box was just off screen, but when I hit Alt+Spacebar, the main Autocad menu highlights, as if the Annotative Object Scale dialog box is not even open. I have lost dialog boxes off screen before, so I don't thing that is the issue. I have done a Repair and an update to the latest service pack.
I am running Autocad 2010 LT on a Windows 7 64-bit machine with 8MB memory. I have FILEDIA = 1, CMDDIA = 1, and ATTDIA = 1.
I have not done a complete reinstall due to the pain of updating all of my settings, but I guess that is a last resort if I cannot figure out how to get the dialog box to show up.
why the advanced print options "Splash features" are not available any more? We have purchased CS5 but can not use it until we get them resolved. Clients are running OS X 10.6 Printer Docucolor 240 with a Splash RPX-II rip.
Why did Adobe remove the file preview area from the File > Open dialog box? I like having all my file requests showing Details mode so I need the Preview window when I am navigating, browsing and opening files.
Illustrator CS6 still has a Preview window, granted it only works on AI files, it should be able to preview PDFs and EPS files correctly, let alone all raster formats.
And posts elsewere, there are two more buttons on the bottom of the options dialog box, under the user preferences tab, that I am missing. One is Initial setup and the other is default scale list.
I installed ArcGIS into my Map3D 2011 and now when I enter the command ADESETCRDSYS there is no longer a dialog box that pops up, it is all in the command line. This wouldn't be a problem, except it doesn't allow you search through the codes. I have looked for a system variable that might control it, comething simular to filedia, but have not been able to find one.
It used to be that when you selected a ployline onscreen you could set properties for the line in the properties dialog. With this version of ACAD, if the polyline is not of uniform width on all sections then the global width option is missing from the options dialog.
I know that you can now right click and go polyline/width but i suppose i have been doing this a certain way for so long and now i cant and its annoying.
Among about a dozen ACAD users in my office, one is missing the "Arch D (landscape)" paper size that accompanies the PC3 file we generally use. I have checked that the roll size and other settings in the machine in question and all of that looks good. I don't want to edit this PC3 as it works for everyone else and don't want to create a new PC3 for this one user.
Upgraded CS3 to CS5 and receiving a message when trying to use text that "Could not complete your request because of a program error. Then a second message - "Something prevented the text from being initialized. CS3 was working 100% fine. what is causing this problem."
Up until yesterday, I only received email notification from Corel on topics that I had made a contribution to, now I am receiving emails for all posts submitted on the forum, whether contributed to or not. I have checked my User Control Panel, but could not find a way to change notification settings. Is there anything I can do to change things back to the way they were.
I used to have the option for "Use Adobe Dialog" in all the CS2 programs, but I didn't really use it that often. Now that I've just reinstalled Windows and gotten everything set up again, I was wanting to use it again, but now the option is no longer there in the Open dialog.
I just upgraded my iMac (3.06 GHz i3 with 8 GB RAM) to OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2). Tonight I opened Photoshop CS5 for the first time since the OS X upgrade and created a new document (8.5x11 grayscale, 300dpi). Everything was fine until I saved the document, then "saved as" under a different filename. When I tried to re-open the original document, Photoshop immediately quit and continued to quit every time I tried to open the original document. I concluded that the document had gotten corrupted and started over, recreating the document from scratch; but exactly the same thing happened again. Once I saved the original document under a different name, Photoshop immediately quit every time I tried to reopen either the original document or the "saved as" version.
All my colors are after receiving this error message "Adobe CS4 now includes graphics card acceleration. We recommend you visit your video card manufacture's web site to download and install the latest drivers" .
How to fix this I have a ATI Raden HD 4600 Graphics Card that my computer says is working fine and there are no updates.
I have been Recieving a message 'Photoshop CS5 has been stoped Working' after opening PS and can do a little editing and after about 4 minutes the message comes which have only one option , close program. Sometime i recieve another message also 'Onone Library' which have option 'ok'. (Adobe Photoshop CS5.1)
I tried for a solution by changing name of file in C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS5.1Plug-insExtensions changed Scriptingsupport into ~ScriptingSupport but not solved. Some cannot open image.A similiar has inserred , only change in the name {Skype ------- Photoshop}
"Could not load file or assembly 'acmgd, Version=17.0.54.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
This is the error i recieve, i've already referenced the dll from local installed folder, and made local copy as false. but also i recieve this error...
When I receive my background drawings from an Architect who is basically exporting to DWG from their VectorWorks program I seem to have difficulty using their PaperSpace Sheets. Usually the border is a block so I just save the block as a file and then XREF it back in and then erase the block. From there it is a mess and can't figure out what is going on or how to fix it. First: I can't find any viewport to modify or scale, but if I click in the right spot I get multiple X-Y references as show in attatched file which are always scaled at 1:1 and as the 2nd attached picture shows is a location for three different viewports that I can't access. The attached picture is shown with the XREF backgrounds turned off so you can see the X-Y locations versus when they are on. How to actually make these in to editable viewports or at least erase them and start over?
After editing a photo in Photoshop to perfection, converting it to a JPEG and then e-mailing it to someone, the image appears way too dark on the receiving monitor. I've sent images to people using both CRT and LCD monitors, set on maximum brightness, and the images are equally dark in both cases.
I've recently started using Premiere Pro CC on Win7 and noticed that when I apply color changes via Fast Color Corrector (or others) that some video frames don't get the correction. It's an odd thing that I don't see in Final Cut Pro X which I use on a slower Mac. No errors or any other inconsistencies appear and sometimes it's 1 - 2 uncorrected frames scattered here and there or it may be more or larger groups. I suspect it may be some simple setting that I've missed but can't seem to find it. Here's an example. [URL]...
