As Flash is on the way out (and can't be viewed on iPads anyway) I wanted to remove the Flash templates from my LR web modiule but I can't find a way to do it. Newither can I find the files onthe HDD.
How do I remove the Flash templates fromthe template browser (in Lightroom Templates not user templates,
we have just upgraded from Inv 2011 to 2013. I am trying to create the drawing templates in 2013 by using the blank 2013 template and then copying our border from 2011 onto it. This works a treat apart from 1 thing.
The i properties do not get copied over as well so the sheet is blank from drawing number, title and the custom properties etc.
If I upgrade from LR3 to LR4 will the print templates I created in LR3 still work in LR4?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just downloaded the latest version of Lightroom 4.3 (Win764bit), and the print templates don't work at all! If you click on the supplied Lightroom templates, the preview changes in the navigator window, but not in the main window.
Are Adobe planning to provide a patch for this any time soon, or should I look elsewhere for printing?
I though Lightroom was supposed to be an end to end workflow solution, but I've seen bug reports about the print module in various forums on the net going back nearly a year now, so maybe Adobe have lost interest in this particular module?

I found a template with two vertical images that I liked a lot, but all the options available have some sort of funky black outline around them! I can't believe they didn't just include one of the same without an outline. They really need to have the ability to develop your own templates!!

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have built many websites for artists over the last 10 years and have mostly used Lightroom Flash based gallery templates as the tool for displaying artworks in portfolios. Everyone has been happy with these flash based templates, they have a look and feel which is preferable to the simple HTML templates. Also their customisation abilities are good to tailor to each artists work and preferences.
Increasingly, these artists are getting complaints and negative feedback that their galleries are not working through Ipads (as Ipads don't support flash). Most want to keep their galleries as they currently look and feel as they are happy with the design, however they want people to able to view their work.
provide a conversion utility or better still, provide their standard historic flash based web templates in a html5 version that will seemlessly work with all forms of browesrs, including ipads and iphones.
We dont want to change to look of the templates, although more dynamic HTML5 templates would also be nice, we just want to keep what we have working with changing technology.
This is probably very easy, but I cant figure it out. Whenever I try to type text on the spine of my lightroom book, Lightroom puts it horizontally. I like to rotate the text on the spine of my book by 90 degrees so that it reads from top to bottom, like on any normal book. How do I do that?
By the way, when I start a new book, the spine text appears correctly by default (rotated by 90 degrees). In my existing book, the text cursor appears only for horizontal flow however, despite using the same design template. Is this a bug or did I accidently change the orientation of the text?
I have edited about 100 photographs over the past few weeks using Lightroom & Photoshop - stupidly, I was concentrating so much on ensuring that my images had a watermark on them, i managed NOT to keep a non-watermark version for sales.
Is there any way I can remove the watermark that is on the JPEG file without having to go through the hassle of re-editing them as it is unlikely I will be able to get the same results as before.
I should say that all of my files have been exported OUT of Lightroom & into a seperate file on Windows Explorer.
can TIF files with transparency be flattened in LR (turning transparent areas into white canvas) without lossing the history of previous edits?

In LR, I also have gradation curves, but the very useful pipette tool seems to be missing. Is there a way to enhance the photos as easily as in PS?

When I migrated from iPhoto to LightRoom I wound up with many hundreds, if not thousands of duplicte images.
I purchased the "Duplicate Finder" plug-in, which indeed finds the duplicates, but ther eis no way to simply delete them. I would imagine many users have been through this at some point and hope there is a relatively simple way to get my catalog under control.
I want to get Lightroom 4 and I think I read somewhere that instead of having to erase and clone unwanted objects in a photo, one could click on object and remove it and the computer would fill in the background to what it should have been. Ex: photo of a church with light pole in front. click on pole, it disappears and what is behind the pole is pictured without the pole in front. I saw this a few months ago when a friend sent me the info. Cost of software then was about $199. Now I cannot find that feature listed and also the price is much cheaper so not sure which software.

SOMEHOW (just let it lay there - you can chuckle internally) I managed to grab the backup catalog one time and now its in the list, and every so often if I'm not paying attention I open the wrong one...
So, how do I make that entry in my catalog list go away without actually deleting anything or doing anything to the catalog?
Building a new website in BigFolio.
I'm a photographer but not all that computer savy. In fact unless I'm wrong just discovered that running images through "Save for web" in PS6 removes metadata as well so images load faster. That's what I want to do but it seems time consuming.
So my question is in the export function of LR4 is removing the metadata there doing the same thing because if so it would be tons faster.
I have not been able to find a function for adding descriptions for my Flickr photos directly in LR.So far I have done it directly in Flickr.There is however one problem when I do things this way. If I update and republish a photo from LR - the description in Flickr dissappears.

I have a large catalog of images I have touched up to prepare for use.
Today when I loaded the catalog, every image has a 'reset' at the top of this History stack. This is undoing all my modifications, but all the operations I did perform are still listed under that.I want to remove the 'reset' from the top of History of every image in this catalog so I get back to what I had already done.
I can’t seem to remove External Editor presets. I go through the motions, but they don’t go away. I’m using 4.1 on Lion.
