Photos not visible in Library on import using card reader or camera but are visible in Develop. When returning to Library photo is visible but disappears when another invisible photo is selected. Using LR 3.6 , Windows 7. A new problem, worked flawlessly previously.
View 5 RepliesWhen I create virtual copies, the total number of instances of the image goes up but I don't see any of the virtual images. I unstack and it shows they're unstacked and "1 of 2" but I still can't see the other. I've turned off all filters and still nothing.It was happening in 4.3rc and is still happening in 4.3. It is only present in certain catalogs.
View 6 Replies View RelatedOn my iMac's finder there are many temporary subfolders in my LR folder that do not show up in LR. They are named "Temporary Folder" followed by a long string of alphanumeric characters. Presumably they were created by LR as part of its operations (importing?). Can I erase these or will that disturb the Catalog? If they will, how can I remove them or should I just leave them alone? They are really piling up.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Publish Services panel is enabled and visible, but it is empty. All Publish Services are invisible. However, it seems they are still there, because from a photo I can "Goto Collection" and select the Published Collection that it's in. In grid view, this takes me to the screen where it shows me Published Photos, Modified Photos, etc. But I cannot create new Published Collections.
I am using Lightroom 5.2 64-bit on Windows 7. This problem only arose recently without any known trigger. I've had this problem before but it went away on it's own after I published from a different catalog.
The usual import menue has the options for importing on the right hand side. My system is now showing an import dialouge box and the import dialouge on the right is greyed out. How do I get back to the standard import screen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis issue occured shortly after update to 4.2, but not directly after. I am using windows 8.
The issue that occurs is after importing images they are adjusted automatically to develop module cross process 1. After dealing with this annoyance for a bit of time I realized that I can not even "RESET ALL" the images to delete the adjustment. In delving into other images that have been in my database for quite some time, I have tried to "RESET ALL", which resets images to CROSS PROCESS 1. I have never set import to automatically adjust.
I just upgraded from LR3.6 to 4.0. When trying to import images the import module freezes for a few minutes and then displays the import screen. However, when selecting a source the program freezes again and eventually crashes.
I had the same issue when upgrading to 3.6 some time ago and then found that disabling some USB controllers solved the problem. This works for LR4 as well. As I don't need all USB connections this is a workable solution, however, disabling controllers should not be necessary to run a program.
System is an Acer Aspire 7811 64 bits w/ Intel i7, Win 7 Home Premium, 8 GB internal mem and no external drives.
I'm using LR4 with a Canon camera setup (Wind 7 Ultimate). I've got the auto import setting all configured with an incoming folder and destination. The app recognizes when an image is put in incoming folder and in fact it moves it to the destination folder. What is really annoying is that it leaves me at the import settings dialog and then I have to make all these choices as I would if I were manually importing.
Shouldn't the images be places in the desination folder and some view of that image be displayed in LR? It could be the folder view or ideally I want to see the last image imported at 1:1 size so I can review it and see if I want to take another shot? Maybe there is some flag I've got set incorrectly.
I use Auto Import to import my RAW files. Each time LR imports my files the Previous Import count number increases. Is there a way to reset this count so it shows a true reflection of the photos from my previous import session?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you manually import files the Previous Import count number resets itself automatically. I've Googled this problem & this question has been asked before - all users were utilising Auto Import.
I'm trying to import photos into LR3.3, and the thumbnails are grayed out, as is the import button. The photos come from two other cameras -- one Canon Elf, the other I'm not sure. I received them through dropbox, and they open fine with Bridge and Photoshop CS4.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I'm working with Photoshop CS2 all of the sudden my cursor disappears! (This can occur with brushtool, ellipse tool, etc)
Well.. It's not totally gone; It's just invisible above the window I'm working in. When I put it on my toolbar for example it's there. And when I want to put it above my canvas it disappears again. When I try to draw something anyway, it gives some sort of very thin line which kind of shows what I'm doing, but as soon as I release the mouse button it all disappears again. Closing/opening Photoshop or rebooting the computer don't help.
I have Photoshop CS2 and am having problems with project windows. Whenever I either try to start a new/open and exisiting document, the window never appear. I can see the image in the navigator, but there is nothing on the workspace, it's just blank, as if I don't have a project open.
It was working fine, has been for months until now. I've tried to search for the project by dragging the photoshop window out, in case it has minimized and been placed down thew bottom right hand corner, but found nothing.
I wanted to know how to make the font to be in background colour?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAll the object on the scene are invisible in 1 viewport, even if I switch the viewport to other cameras they are still not visible.
I have tried changing the shading styles, other things like clipping, xview. Even restarted 3ds max for that matter but no luck.
I work with .dds texture files a lot in modding the games Oblivion and Skyrim, and whenever someone else releases a mod that I like, I usually change it to my preferences (solely for personal use, of course). This occasionally means editing their textures, but some people have a way of making the texture "invisible" (as in totally transparent), yet still readable by the game as well as some plugins like Emboss. This makes it impossible for me to do anything with the file, and as a result some become completely unusable. what this "invisibility" is caused by, and a way to reverse it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedCertain selected tool cursors are almost invisible on my workspace. The lasso, type, rectangle, line tools when selected and moved into the workspace are almost the same colour as the background so it is impossible for me to get any accuracy with these tools as I can't find where they are on the page.
The other cursors, pencil, pen, eyedropper etc are coloured in black so it's fine. Is there a way of altering the other cursors so they are black too? Or finding another solution?
i'm working with CS4 on a brand new Macbook Air 11 inch.
I am in the process of migrating from Aperture to LR4. I have exported the originals from Aperture and have them on my HDD.
My question now is do I import as a DNG? What are the benefits of this?
If I do import like this, am I duplicating all my images on my HDD?
Had version 4.2 working just fine until last week when it stopped importing. Program does not even show external drive in available folders. Bought LR5 and updated to version 5.2. Same problem. I can view from Windows Explorer or Irfan View. If I try to import from other source, I can see the folders but when I open the folder I get an error message that says no items match your search. I need to get this figured out as I'm a sports photographer and need to get 6 games processed and posted.

i work almost 95% with canon raw files.
i don't convert to DNG.
LR4, allthough what i'm reffering to appears with all versions.
when i open the import dialog box, and going to the location of the CR2 files i would like to import, i see on screen a different version/look of the image than after import.
meaning, i see what i interpet as a "Jpeg" version of the CR2 file when i'm in the import dialog box.but when everything is imported into my catalog, when i look on the same file it looks much different. (both in library and develop)
i'm not applying any develop settings upon import.only my metadata and maybe a few keywords.
Is there a way that when first importing from the camera raw files, to see the image in the Import mode, rather than "No preview available"? This is when first starting the Import process. All.jpg files do have the image displayed so you can see what it is. Lightroom 3.5 Win 7 64-bit.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA friend asked me to make an animated forum signature for him but their forum has a rule the sig size must be 650x200.
So i thought i would fit it in my own 650x200 signature and cutting everything outside that out using the wand tool on every layer (125) I made them visible cut out the outskirts and made it invisible again one by one , with the little eye next to the layer.
After u import Video frames to layers only the first one is visible , but in order to cut in a layer i needed to make it visible , and apperently after u make a layer visible its invisible in the saving (Save for Web option) After i was finished all i had left with was one layer that was visibile the other 5 seconds were just invisible
how to fix this , i ran into it a couple of times now its getting pretty annoying.
(I'm trying to fit video frames in here)
I was using Baskerville BT in PS CC and everything was invisible. It said something about it be "masked" but the only option I seem to have is the undo type mask or keep it invisible and masked.I just want to type in whatever font that is available with my account and have it work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust come back to a piece of work afte my son was playing with the computer, and he's set up something in Photoshop that I've never seen before. Really strugling to describe it – there seems to be an invisble grid or chequerboard over my image somehow. When I try to paste another image into a new transparent layer (I'm trying to combine two images), it doesn't appear solid but has transparent squares all over it. Also, if I try to select a block of colour with the magic wand tool, the marching ants go into a chequerboard shape. In the hope of un-setting this I've taken the history way back to beore I last worked on the image, but no joy – it's some kind of option that will have to be switched off. I'm sue it's something incredibly simple and obvious, it's just that I can't find it!
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy commands on my text drop down menu are invisible, some appear when I run cursor over them, some remain invisible. Same when I go to options, all text commands are invisible unless I run cursor over them. I have tried deleting my text menu and repopulating a new menu to no avail, same happens. I have tried a reinstall and a repair, neither worked.
