Lightroom :: Filter Published Photos That Have Comments Added
Oct 25, 2013I'm using jf plugin to publish to zenfolio. When the client adds comments, they download into LR5. Is there anyway to show just the photos that have comments?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from LR4 to 5. When I opened LR5 it asked to convert my LR4 catalog. That all went well, I thought. Once completed, I created my Flickr published services connector. How do I now tell LR5 that I have previously published photos to Flickr in LR4 so that I do not have to republish those 1000+ photos? If I were to do that, then I'm afraid all comments will be lost, etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI alreayd published to HDD a series of five images. I then rename the images, and mark the images to republish. But when they're published again, the old names are there. So, I change the publishing service to a custom name, mark the images to republish again, and try once more. Still, the old names are there.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently upgraded to Lightroom 5. Now when I publish photos, those photos are the originals, without any of the edits that were made in Develop (such as crop, color, etc.). The tags are being published and updated, but that's all. This is happening for both publish to hard drive as well as online services.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCan you search for missing photos from within a folder? I know there's the command that says "find all missing photos" but that delivers results for the entire catalog. I'd like to see the missing photos from just one folder and wonder if that's possible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am fairly new to lightroom. I pulled up 500 or so images from a wedding and went through them quickly starring them with the left and right brackets. When I was finished I went to the grid view in the library module and clicked on the filters, filter by rating, greater than or equal to one star (my images were in a collection by the way). When I hit that it says that no photos match my filter. Why?

I have relatively small (1k), and completely flat (non-hierarchical) keyword list.
for a small number of keywords, I have the following problem:
If I open Library, witht the centre panel in Grid View, then select Keyword List from the RHS panel, and select one these "problem" keywords, On the rhs of the screen it shows a number, indicating the number of images to which this keyword is attached.
I then click the arrow next to the number to display the images with this keyword.
the library filter opens in the centre panel of the screen area, dropping down the Keyword filter and correctly highlighting the selected keyword; however against this, the keyword show 0 matches and the message "No photos match the filter" is displayed.
If I right-click on the keyword in the Keyword List and select delete, the message is displayed that the keyword will be deleted from n photos
Thus I don't know if there are photos with the keyword which are just not being displayed, or whether there are a number of "phantom" keywords which are not associated with any images.
It may be that I am lacking understanding of some aspect of LR functionality; or that somehow there is an indexing problem within my LR catalogue.
I pasted the same graduated filter arrangement into several hundred action photos. I then slog through them in capture order, nudging them one way or another depending on crop and subject. On the next photo, the first time I click and drag --the filter NEVER moves! I must release and reclick to get it to move. This becomes highly annoying after a while. Enough so to write this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOn completion of an image upload to Flickr using the Lightroom Flickr publish plugin I see in the progress bar at the top left state that "comments are being retrieved from Flickr". I never see any other mention of "comments" in Lightroom so what does this mean? I have many comments on my images on Flickr so are they retrieved and downloaded? I have LR4 and Mac OS.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using LR 5.3 and in Library Module, below Metadata is a field for Comments. However, in that field, it says "Selected service does not support comments".
I can find no information on how to use this or how to 'legitimately' add comments to a photo. I have seen where people suggest adding comments into unused Metadata fields but that seems like a crude work around. What is the purpose of the "Comments" section in the Library Module?
I like the upload but I don't need those comments in LR they are in flickr and for me that is enough. Any way to disable the download of comments after an upload to Flickr?

View 9 Replies View RelatedIf I right-click on a published collection there is a command "Edit Published Collection". In the dialog box that comes up it seems the only thing I can do is rename but there is already a rename in the right-click menu. Hitting EDIT in the dialog seems to do NOTHING. What am I missing on the use of this command. There doesn't seem to be any info on this in a Google search.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have tried a coule of times to add photos to a new project, to make a slideshow. In one case I added some transitions just to see how they look. Then I click on the PLAY button, nothing happens. I've tried it a coule of times, saving under different filenames. What gives? in one case I rendered the file, no difference.
A big waste of time so far. I did convert some video clips from a .mov format and the worked fine on almost any DVD player but I I am trying to make a slideshow for a web page and nothing is working.
I am unable to delete one of my published collections for Flickr. Also the title of the photoset is uniquely in italics. When I right click on the item, Rename ... and Delete ... are missing from the options. What gives?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just published my first book on Blurb. Looks great but all the pages are offset by one in Blurb when compared to my LR original. So all the pages that are on the left in Lightroom are on the right in the Blurb version. I can easily add another page and re-publish but it un-nerves me when things are inconsistent.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running Lightroom 4.3, and have set up a publishing service to my revel account. Starting yesterday, I'm having a problem with creating new smart published collections to publish to my revel account. After I enter the filter criteria for the collection and hit "create" I get a "An error occurred while attempting to create a new album." message. I've tried authorizing and reauthorizing my account without any success. I had no problems the last time I created a collection last week, so I'm wondering if it's a server type issue rather than something on my side.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a set of Categories with Collections published at Smugmug. I am trying to map each Category and Collection in Smugmug to a similar Published Smart Collection in Revel using the rules so that when I add a photo into one of my collections in Smugmug it will populate to similar Revel Smart Collection.
In Smugmug I have a category "Portfolio" with a collection "Dogs". There are 75 photos in this collection.
I create a Revel Publish service for a library "Portfolio".
Now I go to the left sidebar and for this Revel service, I create a new Published Smart Collection. I title it "Dogs". I set the rule to Publish Collection starts with Dogs. The result is over 400 photos selected.
What appears to happen is that any Published Collection with the word Dogs in it is being used, even though the name of the published collection is for example "Our Dogs" or "Example Dogs".
The rule "Starts with" does not seem to work.
in Lightroom 5.3, I have reached page 239 on creating a large landscape photobook. Now on adding additional pages, Lightroom says "page limit reached - The current output format limits the page count to 240, so additional pages cannot be added". I changed the layout of the book to hard cover image wrap and the paper type to standard. But Lightroom continues to give the same message.
Now my question is, if there is a page limit in Lightroom. On the Blurb homepage the limit for a photobook with this layout with standard paper is 440 pages. I have spent a lots of time in creating 239 pages and I don’t want to restart.
I don't mind starting with a sort by name or time added. But then I'd like to move a few around. I'm going to make a web gallery, and sometimes want to tweak the order of presentation. is this possible?
