View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a client that wants the part number to be driven by size with a catch.The part number goes like this:
625A3-A01.000M0.500 or 625A3-A10.000M1.000
625A3 = Profile Threaded or unthreaded rod
A= material type A-Mild Steel, B-Ground and polish rod, C-Stainless steel and so on
01.000 is the Length of the part (this is an issue will explain at bottom)
M= thread code K-no tapping, L-10-32 UNC, M-1/4-20 UNC, N- 5/16-18 and so on
.500= Diameter of rod ( nothing bigger than 9 inches)
Ok I have everything working but the Length the issue with this is the leading and trailing zeros and extra..If the length is 1/2 inch the number needs to show as 00.5000 if it is 1 inch needs to show as 01.000 if it was 10 inches it needs to show like 10.000.
Now this is the problem I am having if it is 1/2 I get this 0.500 but I need that extra 0 in the front like 00.500.
I am also having issues when the number is 4 inches or a rounded number 10,9,5 no matter if I have the parameter set to show trailing zeros it seems to work and not work so I get 4 and not 4.000 even in this I would have to get ilogic to add a zero to it like 04.000.
How can I get ilogic to look at the number of characters in the Length and if it is less than the what I need add the others.

I can get the leading zeros in the architectural dim style. My problem is I cant seem to get the leading zero in the parts list format. If I edit the parts list, then format column, there is no option to include leading zeros like in the dim styles.
We could format the parts list with the leading zero before....This is in 2013, BTW..
I'm trying to format a number with leading and trailing zeros. If I only needed trailing zeros I'd set the number as a parameter and force the formating there. I tried using the Format function but it fails and I found one other instance of someone trying it and it failing also.
For example I want to change 2.125 into 02.13
P.S.Just for fun I went to the VBA editor and tried this.

I just discovered an issue with the LR5.3 Export module on my Windows 7 system when exporting JPEG image files with 'Sequence' File renaming and 'Original' File Settings to a subfolder. When exporting approximately 100 JPEG image files LR shows a file count in the subfolder of ~1/2 the actual file count and the ability to 'Synchronize Folder' disappears. The correct number of files appear in the subfolder using Windows Explorer, so they all were successfully exported and renamed properly. LR must be closed and reopened to restore the ability to 'Synchronize Folders' and/or 'Import' images using the Import module. I've never encountered this problem before since I normally process raw image files, which do not exhibit this issue.

Obviously- when they are scanned the date of origination is the date they were scanned not the actual date the photo was taken. I can remedy this in the 'edit capture time' feature. But there are thousand of photos and this is time consuming and often a guess. So, sometimes being lazy I forget. However, Lightroom allows me to arrange photos in a specific order. So for the sake of this discussion I can arrange histroical images in what I believe is the best the chronological order. Now I want to export these files without scrambing the order in which they are arranged. Not all the dates may be accurate so I don't want to rely on that feature. I want to export the photos in the sequence in which they are arranged. It might be as simple as adding a prefix 1-filename, 2-filename, etc. I've attempted exporting several times in the past but invariably it arranges everything by an alphanumeric sort.

I think this is because the number sequence on the camera is set to numerical is set so Lightroom has not exported the photo in my desire sequence.

Is there anyway to export an OBJ sequence from Maya 2012? I found an old script for it but it is not compatible with 2012. I want to be able to export an animated OBJ sequence to use in Trapcode Form as a base shape for a particle system.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to export a sequence as XML, but no matter what I try, it exports the wrong sequence. I've tried selecting the sequence in the project panel, then hitting export, and I've also tried opening the timeline and exporting from there.
The sequence being exported is actually used at one point in the sequence I want to export, otherwise I would just delete it temporarily. I'm using Premiere CC 7.2.

I just know to use the Rendered Frame Window to render an image with selected area and save to a png file. But I cannot do that for every key frame.
I'm working on a project that requires creating an animation in After Effects that is then imported into Sprite kit using a numbered png sequence. I'm aware that using hashes [#####] allows you to add the amount of zeroes you want in the filename for numbering the frames, but is there any way to export without any zeroes?
(eg. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 rather than 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10)
I'm using CS5 (Windows) and I'd like to export a video as an image sequence BUT I want to define the frame interval (e.g. export ONLY every 5th frame and ignore the rest). I guess it's possible to manually delete those frames that I don't need after exporting them; however, I have thousands of frames and it work if I could automate it.
Is it possible to do this in Photoshop or should I look for another software?
So I shot all the footage in 1920x1080 and the client said they wanted 1280x720 .mov files as final output.I edited the 1080p footage in a 720p sequence so I could reframe a bit. Now they want 640x480 .mov as final output. I can easily find presets for .mp4 at 640x480 but I'm struggling to find a way to export at that resolution in .mov.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving cut together a short commercial recently, I have been unable to export my sequence/ work. There are no error messages, only incomplete exported versions of the sequence (sometimes 1 second, sometimes 8 seconds!) or nothing at all. It will go through the motions and not generate an exported file.
I have attempted to export my sequence multiple ways - from the timeline, from the media library and from the mediahub - with identical results. I'm totally at a loss. I've also gone back to a sequence which I was able to export successfully one month ago and now I get the same problem - either no result or some fractional piece of the edit - never more than a few seconds. My finished edit, by the way, is a 30-second spot.
For example, here's one way I've attempted to export:
1. I select my sequence from the media library and right-click for export.
2. I select movie, choose my destination, and select a format preset (I've tried just about every preset, hoping it was a preset error of some kind), and
3. I hit export.
Instead of the spinning prompt in the lower left corner, showing me a percentage countdown (or count-up) - which was present a month ago when I was las exporting a show -I get a quick audio mixdown prompt in the lower left then nothing. It all happens in less than 1 second from the time I press "export".
I've copied the console log for your review. This particular effort/ screenshot resulted in an 8-second clip, which is the longest one (still incomplete) I've been able to generate since I attempted to export starting yesterday. Again, my sequence is 30 seconds, and it either does nothing, generates an empty file (45k in size) or creates an incomplete movie file (usually 1 or 2 seconds).
I've been called upon to use Smoke as an intermediate between offline and color session elsewhere. I need to export a DPX sequence for the colorist to work from. Can I easily do this in Smoke? Just conform the offline and export DPX sequence? Also, can I put in handles and include original source timecode?

I understand that Smoke has some great color correction tools, but when it comes to be fast and productive, a dedicated color grading application is what is needed.
I edited an online video dictionary (about 7,500 five second clips) and have them all in sequences in Premiere pro CC waiting to be exported. I hae been battling for two weeks now day in and day out to try and export... I am limited to batch exporting this project and have never had problems with adobe softwares in five years ( a great track record). I have tried many ways of importing or exporting the sequences to Media Encoder CC, and have experienced crashes every single export attempt. As soon as I add more than 5-10 clips the program crashes when I start the que. I badly need to deliver this product, any patch that will keep ME from crashing when you add more than a couple clips?

I figured out how to do the lightning and how to export transparent PNGs, but I can't get rid of the lightning solid background (which is balck in my case).
When I print 11 x 17 paper on Epson R2880 in LR the image begins printing before the leading edge of the paper reaches the printerhead (not prininting borderless.) Only happens in LR and not PS. I am using the LR paper standards for borders.

If I use a linear dimension, and the value works out to something like 4'-1/2", Autocad will display 4'-01/2".
This is the documented behavior per autocad documentation:

"If feet are included with a fractional inch, the number of inches is indicated as zero, no matter which option you select. Thus, the dimension 4'-3/4" becomes 4'-0 3/4"."
It is also an extraordinarily silly behavior. How can I force my dims to display 4'-1/2" other than exploding them and editing by hand? ( or by using the "text override" feature )
